I ride a Sport Glide with Road Rage pipes, Corbin seat and stage II torque cam. Took it on a 1200 mile camping trip The versatility of the SG works great for me. Also got a 10" Slipstreamer windshield for the highway. Thanks for the video.
The Sport Glide is amazing. Absolutely love mine. I'd like to comment on the seat. It isn't the worst HD seat I've ever ridden on. With that said, it had to go. I ride long distance. After 150 or so miles the seat is very uncomfortable. Purchased a Saddlemen step-up. Looks amazing. More importantly just finished a 350 mile ride with very little discomfort. I expect it will get even better with more miles as it breaks in. 2500 miles on the Sport Glide in less than 3 weeks. This is my favorite Harley to date. Great for the type of riding I do. I'm getting ready to take a chilly ride (in the 30's) to the local Harley shop. Stage 2 torque cam/Heavy Breather/Street Cannon/Smart tune module with wideband O2 sensors/Tuner and Dyno tune/ today with all Screaming Eagle to preserve the warranty. I anticipate this will make the Sport Glide even better. It is quite possible that this is my forever Harley Davidson. It's quite good. Take care.
@@SckippyDee Just pick Sport Glide up after Stage 2 install. WOW. It's a different bike. Only put about 25 miles on it this evening. Looks awesome/Sounds amazing/Quite a difference in torque and power. Looking forward to putting some more miles on this build. Love this bike.
Before riding one I was torn between the Lowrider and Heritage. The Sport Glide seems to have the best of both worlds. And it looks pretty cool sans bags and screen.
I was torn between the lowrider and spending the extra for the sport glide. My dealer had an 18' sitting in the back. Jut this passed February. They dropped the price to $15,700 (us dollars) I jumped on it and haven't looked back. Plus, I'm glad it happened this way. I would have balked at the extra money. But I know now it was 100% worth it. Love mine. Glad I didnt get the Lowrider... but wish I would have road the Haritage with the 114 motor
Bought one myself last December, great bike, Had a couple of leaks from push rods but fixed, one thing I would say is it really needs an aftermarket exhaust, the bike sounds tinny without one. I bought another seat which is a standard seat, they do give in after a while, not the worst seat on a motorcycle.
So as stated earlier I was looking at the Low Rider...I rode the SG and Low Rider and bought the SG. Much better value.Stage 2 Torque Cam with Rinehart slip on and it goes a lot better plus it handles pretty well in the corners. I can hustle it pretty hard. Strip it down and it looks better or pack it up and do a trip, easy. And the seat..its fine for me...have done a 1200km day on it. There are heaps of aftermarket options including single seats which make it look great. People are getting the bags painted too...looks a lot better.
Check out how the Bassani lowers the lean angle before you purchase. The header is low and will drag before pegs. That’s why others are looking at S&S or V&H. Love my Sport Glide for all the reasons you said. I started with a Road Glide Special, but for me and everyday + touring the Sport Glide with ABS and cruise standard sealed it. Great vid 🔥🔥
@@SckippyDee I have been lucky indeed, almost 20,000 miles later and a few changes later it's been a blast. Not one mechanical or electric problem, a real gem
Good on ya Skip, gr8 review m8, the big question for me though is can I fit a slab in the panniers? I've been tossing up to get one of these but I can fit a slab in the gearsack on my ZX14R which is so convenient, I know its not a dealbreaker but... lol. subbed cheers
Got mine last july, fitted FP3 and then with phone mounted on handlebars i can read 5 sensors and have the main one set for the rev counter so i dont have to try and look down at the display. as you say, hard to see with full face helmet.
Cruise control, Bags - why $3-4K extra for the Sport Glide? I'd just the Low Rider with cruise control, mids, tour pack 1 and a clear screen. Side bags won't hold a helmet or much gear.
I agree Joe, just some more rumble not too much though, but more than the"Screaming Eagle" H-D exhaust which are not any louder than stock(Read 50 State compliant). Do I need to say more? and you pay that shitload of money for nothing.Been there done that !! No more !!
You complain about the seat. I dont get it. I'm 5'10" 195 lbs. And love the seat. Sat on a 2019 breakout the other day. That seat hurt within 45 sec. LOL.
Yep fair enough. Probably didn’t explain myself that well. In comparison to the Lowrider , l felt the Sport Glide seat was fairly firm. Anyway, cheers and thanks for watching 👍
@@SckippyDee I didn't mean to come off uppity. It was just curious. As your not the first person I have heard complain about it. I really dont get it. As it seems perfect for me... and that's why we can customize our toys 😁👍
I own one with the 5" windscreen. It was installed by the dealer when I purchased my bike but the only wind resistant I felt riding was into my eyebrow line with a half helmet. With my full face helmet you feel nothing. I'm coming from a Yamaha 650 cruiser with no windshield and I'm 5'8" , or 5'9" on a good day if the tides in.
I bought a 10" smoked from "Dennis Kirk" for about 80 bucks. It was on back order as I'm thinking everyone else that has a Sport Glide thought the same thing. They measured above the fairing and and 10 inches was great. I just received mine after being on back order for 3 weeks. Damn Love it!!!!
Without question the best softail released so far
Agree👍
Bought an ex-demo with Stage 1 during lock down - so no test ride.
Delighted with it so far
Hey, and there is a cool USB port on the left side of the steering head. Great Damn Stuff !!!! I Love It.

Best and most fair review I've seen so far !!!
Thanks champ. 👍

BCB SILVER HAWK that’s terrific. That’s some cool mods you’re doing. That thing will be a sexy looking animal when it’s done 👍

I’d choose the Sport Glide over the Heritage & Lowrider. Cheers, thanks for watching 👍

Very good review mate ... Thanks and congrats , possibly in a few months I'll be on the market for low rider or sport glide .
You’ll love the low rider👍
If I didn’t love my Triumph T120 so much I would buy one of these
Great bikes!

Don't forget the bags and mini faring come off easily giving you a different lookin bike for the street. Lovely colour too. Thanks, good review,
Cheers, thanks for watching 👍
And I love it with bags off and fairing on. I only run my bags when going overnight somewhere 👍
Great review mate , keep up the good work. I think it’s a good around bike
Cheers thanks for watching 👍

After spending a weekend on both a new Low Rider and a Sport Glide i reckon the SG is better value. It handles a lot better with those forks too...
Agree 100%👍

Sport glide has different front suspension as well.
Love this bike, only thing I'd change is the seat and the exhaust, needs to sound more throaty in my opinion
I agree 100%👍
The stock exhaust sucks as soon as I can it’s gone , Bassani Road Rage for me.

So are you missing your Harley yet?
Maybe a little 🤔😂
I'd ride one then a low rider back to back to see if I needed to spend the extra on a Low Rider. I thought the Low Rider would be more expensive???
wish they would make without the tank speedo
My thought exactly I use to ride a Triumph thunderbird storm cruiser with the speedo on the tank never liked it
Does anyone have one with option 5" windscreen and does it help better?
The 5 inch is useless, go for an 8 or 9 .

Steel Horse Country, My reply was for you fine friend.
Nothing worse than a Brit talking Harleys! Anyway I'm still looking at one to buy!
Lol. Australia is a long way from Britain champ. Cheers
