Great build and great video👍👍👍 I think one small mistake made is that you haven’t made any clear out holes for the ash. You can only clean the system out from the wood feed….so I think in the future you’re going to come across some airflow problems in the system….otherwise well done 👍👍👍

Se vede ca in tot ce faci pui suflet. I-am aratat tatalui meu cateva clipuri si a ramas tare impresionat. A zis ca esti foarte tare si ca vrea sa te viziteze. Si-a construit si el o casuta dintr-un container maritim si i-a placut mult soba racheta. A zis ca vrea si el sa faca. Te salut si spor sa ai!
Mai "nene" bravo tie. Am construit 3(trei )sobe racheta, doua micute si una mare "double barrel" tip batch rocket stove. Din pacate nu am mai avut putere sa construiesc si "thermal mass" partea de inmagazinare a caldurii.

Ca să nu crape pământul roșu se bagă nisip in el. Prin încercări, se află proporția pământ/nisip, apoi se aplică pe perete sau sobă. La pereți, merge o văruială, var nu lavabilă, si ai lumină mai multă. Frumos totul, sănătate multă și lucrări frumoase în continuare!

Excelente trabajo, lo único que puedo decir es sobre el tema del agua caliente, como evita que salga vapor a presión o agua muy caliente? Capaz habria que colocar una válvula de alivio para eso para evitar accidentes, lo demás un lujo

And I especially like the simplicity of both, the built and the video. Very charming and inspiring. I will build one probably almost exactly like this in my straw bale mini earthship =) I have 2 questions though: 1. Why are you using a plastic foil between the soil and the cob layer on your bed? 2. How do you prevent the hot water coil from overheating? As I understand you let the water run through the coil directly to your shower, without any hot water tank, right?

Hello Alex Great DIY build video of Rocket mass heater. So what about the fresh air that goes into the heater from the wood inlet point? When it is peak cold outside in the middle of the night (say 1 am) - does that fresh air come into the room from cracks in the doors and windows? Did you consider about providing a separate fresh air duct from the nearest wall till the air inlet (wood inlet) point... so as to avoid the cold air whistling in from across the room? That was really interesting and good to see one built start to finish. There are so many YT videos that try out alternatives and so it leads to a little confusion. Yours is the first to explain that it takes a few days for the bed/bench to warm up....I didn't realise that it took so long and it's changed my opinion of what I could use one for. I would like to heat my workshop so I don't want to leave it hot/warm overnight so do you think that if I built one with a barrel etc but then ran a long UNINSULATED flue pipe along the workshop I would get 'instant' and greater heat than a normal wood stove? I'm thinking that I'd be feeding the wood stove too often but the rocket heater would burn for longer on same wood? Thanks 👍

Another question - why did you use plastic before the cob layer? 21:09 is it a crack in the cob? I'm asking cause I gonna make rocket mass heater for myself, so your answers will be very helpful ^)
There pipe is not so good, you can try something different, more strong. I have use earthbag to not make to much cob, and I have use bottle plastic to full the wall faster, also to not use to much cob. Is hard to make a house just from cob. There pipe is not so good, you can try something different, more strong.

What does the perlite do, since you are putting sand in after. What are you using to paint over the cob.
Perlite for insulation I don't know about the paint

A fost ieftin și o să țină minim 10 ani. Dar poți încerca și cu fontă sau inox
