i will deploy a windows 7 ultimate image over a windows 10 image as a 100% transformation. to do that: go to the advanced boot options menu to use the command prompt in windows pe. step 2: type the command to apply the image: DISM.exe /Apply-Image /ImageFile:F:\sources\install.wim /Index:1 /ApplyDir:D:\. once the image has been applied, create windows 7 boot files at the system reserved partition. command: bcdboot d:\windows /s c:\ /f BIOS. them restart and see windows 10 transformed completely to windows 7.
That's the main reason people hate new versions, because of their design. If people could use the past designs, their new versions wouldn't be met with so much criticism.
The ones y'all are calling as "themes" are actually called visual styles. A visual style is a set of bitmaps and other graphics used to modify the Windows user interface.
Oh, boy. I can't wait! I still can't believe UNWINVER 6.0 / 10 to 7 is actually real because it doesn't feel and act like anything else besides a standard Windows 7 build. Goes to show how well it was made and also that microsoft could've easily kept on supporting Windows 7

@@Everything.Windows I re-read my comment and it's a bit misleading. Sorry, I just go so excited for this project. Let me clarify: I don't want Windows 8.1 with windows 10 elements, I want a Windows 10 that has UI functionality and look from windows 8.1 because in my mind, this would be the perfect bridge between 10 and older OSes. Just like with 10 to 7, I want the complete removal of the setting app, everything in control panel and windows UI elements like right-clicking on the network icon to take you to Network and sharing center and not the windows settings. Basically, the "feel" of windows 8.1/7 I'd recommend a way to keep the windows store, since apps like whatsapp cannot be installed from another source recently, and unfortunately, more will follow. Other than that, I will be testing this as my daily driver very soon. Cheers, congrats on the great work and thanks again!
If this came as windows 11, and I could literally just install it without loosing ANYTHING on my computer, I would 100% get it.. However, I don't want to go through the pain of going back to windows 10, loosing files etc... FANTASTIC stuff!!!
The main reason I still use 7 is cause 10 is way too bloated with telemetry. Adding on a ton of theming packs isnt the right way to go unless it completely replaces the design elements from the vanilla software. Otherwise its still windows 10 but even slower

you should really try out 8.1, I've just put it on my old win 7 laptop and it's so good! It takes just 500 up to maximum 800mb of RAM which is insane compared to the minimim 800mb up to 1.5GB win 7 takes, it is basically a modernized and even lighter version of windows 7 while being an extremely debloated version of windows 10 with no useless programs / services, just missing some little features that are mostly useless. You may not like some of its mobile-ification changes, but it will take a minute to get used to them and I'm actually starting to like that metro start menu, maybe I might even prefer it over the standard classic start menu. You might not like some of its mobile features when starting to use it but I'm actually getting to love them even without a touchscreen monitor. And you can completely ignore them anyways so don't worry, it works well as a desktop pc too with nothing limiting you or getting in your way. And well, if your monitor is touchscreen then it's an absolute win!! It is like a mix of windows 7 and 10 with some mobile features you can ignore. It's a modernized 7 and a debloated 10 at the same time while being the lightest windows since XP which is fucking 20 years old, so I would actually reccomend 8.1 over 7 on an old computer. That's literally what I did on my laptop and it works so much better now. It gave a new life to it and now it feels modern again. I think it is one of the best Windows, you should all try it out if you're on windows 7 or 10.

Win7 with no updates (except the handful manually done by me) contains no telemetry and I retain control, plus the nice Aero UI. Win8.1 onwards (including Win7 with telemetry updates and other malware style updates) is a backward step in my view, despite the lengthy reply of yours. I'll stick with my plan.
Impressive work. I installed it to try it (not on virtual machine). However on idle and without internet connection OS utilizate 44 % to 60 % CPU. Frequency is on max all the time.
For lower end computers, Windows Aero (the blured glass) can take up a lot of resorces. I haven't installed it yet, but if theres an option, you could try Windows Basic theme instead!
I'm fairly certain that this uses the Glass8 app to achieve the aero glass effect. Sadly the development on that app stopped around Windows 10 1909 and it no longer works with current Windows 10 builts. Many of the mods from this can be installed on the latest Windows 10 version, but that Aero Glass effect sadly isn't one of those.
I'm not using a 2010 Toshiba Laptop microphone to record this, but I am using a 2019 Lenovo Laptop microphone, And I'm on track to buy a new microphone, so be sure to stay tune as I will change my recording quality in the future 👀
i actually tried to install this but DWM (the things that renders the animations, transparency, titlebar etc etc) kept crashing after installing the gpu drivers.
i downloaded the file but it's a ".iso.7z" and when i rename it to ".iso" and put it to the virtual machine it doesn't work it shows unknown so what do i do?
Loved 7. The only thing, and I mean only thing I think 10 has done better than 7 is the performance tab in the task manager. Other than that, we need to go back.

The developer said that even though places still said it's build 7746. Applications will report the OS as Windows 10 RS3 which is not concerning as far as I know
The only thing I don't really like from what I can see in this video is that the window controls look kinda dull / desaturated. The red X button should be more vibrant. But maybe it's just the video.
Tried to install this on my laptop but it gives me a .NET error and gets stuck at "setup is preparing your computer for first use" Can't try it in a VM on Kubuntu either because Virtualbox isn't feeling like it today

On the surface, it says that it's 6.1. But underneath, it is still using 10.0 as the version number. So you can breathe out if you think programs will break with this Windows mod

Am I able to dualboot this along with the real windows 10? I can't dualboot the real win7 as the installer gets stuck at "Starting Windows" despite legacy boot being enabled, so this is a good alternative I guess!

install the network driver first before u connect to the internet, by downloading the driver from another pc and put it in a flash-disk and install it manually

The last major feature update to Win10 was about 3 years ago, with Version 2004. 22H2 is just a service pack.

i use windows 10 cuz my pc only supports windows 10 and if i use other windows like windows 11 and windows 7, my pc will crash

microsoft ripped the glass effect out of the dwm. the glas effect was a leftover from windows 8.1 and microsoft removed it in 2004

...You use 7-zip to unzip it... you have to rename it back to iso.7z. If it doesn't work you'll probably have to redownload it.

you can make out which is the theme by the pixel gap between the date and time
- windows 7 has a 8 pixel gap
- windows 10 has a 9 pixel gap

i wanna apply this to my pc but im concered about playing games when i use the windows10to7 thing.... can i still play games that can run in windows 10 or im stuck with games that can only run on windows 7 and below knowing the os is still windows 10

i think its better to keep version number as 10 not 6.1, i think programs check for that and think its 7 then wont launch if theyre meant for 10
On the surface, it says that it's 6.1. But underneath, it is still using 10.0 as the version number. So you can breathe out if you think programs will break with this Windows mod

Selama hidup saya enggak pernah ngeliat paket modifikasi Windows 10 yang ubah jadi mirip banget kayak Windows 7. Biasanya tombol di kanan atas window agak kegedean atau hal kecil lain yang membuktikan bahwa ini adalah Windows 10.
Jujur sih, sebagai pengguna Windows 7 yang sudah pakai edisi ini selama 11 tahun, saya malah bosen melihat efek Aero-nya windows karena sudah saya rasakan tiap tahun, jadi dulu sempet download paket modifikasi yang buat mirip Windows 10, eh malah ngerusak bbrp hal (contohnya jadi ada pencarian di samping tombol start), jadi ujung2nya malah kecewa😅.

Windows ini emang modifikasinya sampe ke tulang tulangnya (icon, program, dsb.) Sebenernya kalo Windows 7 masih disupport, ya masih mau pake Windows 7, cuma ya namanya EOS ga bisa dihindarin. This Windows modification is really down to the bone such as icons programs, etc. Actually if Windows 7 is still supported, I will use it, but EOS is inevitable. To be honest, I give a salute to the developer. It really isn't a good idea to install custom themes for your OS, because as cool as it may be, it tends to break things (at least in my experience).

I can't dualboot the real win7 as the installer gets stuck at "Starting Windows" despite legacy boot being enabled, so this is a good alternative I guess!

install the network driver first before u connect to the internet, by downloading the driver from another pc and put it in a flash-disk and install it manually

Lucky. I got a Microsoft Windows 7 disc for free, and it had no games. It was still genuine, though. It had the product key.
