Fridge looks great! You mentioned having trouble taking the glass shelf out. I pop it out from the bottom and very carefully walk it to the sink. Or maybe place it on a towel nearby, even one placed on the floor and use a damp cloth or all purpose cleaner.

You can remove that shelf but it’s difficult and several steps. Unless super dirty around the white edges not worth it. Major design flaw. Yes!!! The velveeta container- I loved that as a kid.

I just realized many of my broth, canned milk, and some other stuff was about to go expired so I am using up some milk and broth so I can buy more newer ones so I am glad that I found them before it was too late. I have a couple baskets in the pantry so I can understand what needs to be used up. It has been nice and it's the same kind of idea you had with the turn table that was nifty, thanks for sharing it.

I have that fridge and something had dripped in that little space under the glass on the part you said you can’t get out without feeling like you’re breaking it. Same. So I looked up a RUclips video on how to do it & there are little tabs you push down to get it to come out. I had to use a flathead screwdriver to push it. I was very excited to get it out, finally! I took it outside and scrubbed and hosed it down. It’s so big! There are clips holding in the glass, I did break one clip, but the others are fine so the glass still sets correctly.

I was a last minute Valentines Day shopper also. All the cards were gone, so what I ended up doing was going on Etsy and purchasing Valentines Day card downloads and printing them out. I only had printer paper, but it came out so cute. I put the printed cards with some treats in little a bag and he wrote his classmates name on them. My son loved it. Crisis averted. Might do it again next year to avoid the crazy stores.

Great video! I have a Samsung fridge almost identical to yours. I figured out the top ice maker dispenser bucket was supposed to pull out and it was frozen shut. It took some muscle to get it out. There was ice stuck in the auger and it dispenses much better now. I havent had the issue you mentioned before of the ice under the meat drawer. I think your clean fridge is definitely Pinterest worthy! Thanks for sharing

I love organizing videos so excited to see this. One thing I have noticed is how long the water runs while working in the sink. I had it drilled into me as a kid to turn it off in between to conserve water. There are so many places, even in the US, with water shortages that we should all be mindful about wasting water

Oh.....and the shelf the bottom shelf that hold the drawers does come out and the glass shelves pop out to clean liquid that gets “caught” between the glass and plastic, but it is VERY tricky and yes, if not done right you could probably break clips. Lots of RUclips. Videos on how to. Some better than others! Glad we moved and left it for the new owners! Haha! Not my future choice of fridge!

We have the same fridge! So I know the struggle! We used to have to use a hairdryer to melt the ice probably every other month maybe more. We bought our house 2.5 years ago and when we renewed our home warranty our fridge started to seem like it wasn't cool enough. We had a guy come out and he fixed the issues and I can't remember what he did to fix the ice maker, but we haven't had an issue with it since! He said that he gets calls for this fridge all the time!

My ideal sink is a 2 basin sink, but like 12 inches deep, not the stupid "apartment" 6 inch deep sink, and made of stainless steel, not ceramic.
Ours is a deep ceramic that was supposed to be stain free...its not. It's better than the original sink (see above hated style), but I would never choose ceramic again.
I'd also choose a different faucet than our current one (easy fix I know...) but until the faucet gives up, it does the job.
We never had a "fancy" fridge with ice maker & water dispenser until 21 years ago, and I love having it. No more making ice cubes & being impatient waiting for them to freeze in trays. But I've observed that the fancier the fridge, the more things that can go wrong. So I'm happy with my reasonably basic fridge with no desire to upgrade to one with more bells & whistles. My fridge does not need to connect to my wifi or phone, I don't need fancy condiment doors. Same thing with a washer & dryer, I don't need all the fancy functions.
I greatly dislike having things break down or needing to do recalls on parts. Right now our fridge doesn't crush ice anymore, big deal, it makes & dispenses cubes, I can crush by hand if needed. (A new bucket with a crusher that works is $200! I can buy half a fridge for that price! Ok, maybe 1/4 of a fridge. But crushed ice isn't worth $200 to me.)

Easy peasy.

Jen, I think I can save you some money on food. I was the food manager of our church kitchen. It was my job to know all of the laws. These relate to restaurant kitchens, too. The only items that “have” to be watched for are meat and dairy items. Notice in the store, those items will be marked “sell by.” The store MUST sell the items by that expiration date. Now, it is safe for “you” to buy and eat those items on the last day. If “you” can’t eat them that day, simply freeze those items. All the other items are “shelf” items. Mayo, dates, frosting, etc. If you look closely, those are marked “Best Buy.” This is simply a gauge for eating the items so they taste the best. It is simply a matter of “quality.” So, those dates (fruit) in your fridge probably tasted great if you had opened them and tried one. A can of expired peaches, no problem as long as they’ve been sealed the whole time. I don’t think I’d try them if they were twenty years old, but even a year or two after, they are probably ok. Pay attention, though, to opened Mayo and dairy products and use your judgement on that type of stuff. Easy peasy.

I’ve been using The Pink Stuff for quite awhile. Found it on Amazon months ago after reading a blog about it. If you can get their spray it is awesome! I even use it on stains on my laundry and works like a charm. I have their paste and the soft cleanser. I ran out of the spray. My Shoprite started to sell the paste and the soft cleanser, not the spray. I still have to buy that at Amazon.

We didn’t have no fancy plastic container for our Velveda when I was a kid. We had the cardboard box it came in that screamed of poverty and sadness. LoL 😂 I’m dying laughing while I type this. Seriously though I hated that hard cheese layer that was like some kind of Florescent orange bake-a-lite that you had to hack off and throw away because your lazy sibling couldn’t be bothered to wrap that cheese food up all the way when they were in the throes of their after-school nacho attack the day before.
