    Biggest question I have after watching is I have courses of my own, but with also having affiliate relationships and goals of audience growing-what’s the balance of selling products in videos? I’m always worried my loyal viewers will be turned off that I’m always trying to promote or sell something. My husband says I shouldn’t feel bad-this is a business! What are your thoughts?

    • @taciasoares2022
      @taciasoares2022 3 года назад

      I don’t mind watching promotions in videos if they are done right. I’m an artist and I watch Ten Hundred, for example, and he makes his promotions so entertaining. They are fun to watch and its integrated so well into his regular content. I just hate when people do it and it feels fake or forced or salesy. Other than that, I know its how youtubers make money and I think its inspiring. Go get it!

    • @jessicastansberry
      @jessicastansberry  3 года назад +1

      It IS a business and I'd worry less about the ratio of affiliates to your own products because that's completely your decision and worry more about the ratio of promoting to not promoting. You should really only be promoting ANYTHING about 20% of the time. You can also check out my episode on Social Media Examiner Podcast where i talk about this in depth!

    We need tough love from Sassy Jessica to get us going! I love your clear points in this video.
    I have an idea for a channel. Is there a strategy--ie, what the first video of your channel should look like? As with everything, starting is the hardest part!
    Then a progression, ramp-up, etc., a methodology as in an outline for a book or course? Versus just scattered videos?
    Could you do a follow-up video on this (assuming it makes sense)?🙃 Thank you!

    • @jessicastansberry
      @jessicastansberry  3 года назад +2

      Starting with a bang is HIGHLY encouraged, If you can combine SEO strategy (recent video on my channel) and trend hacking (a video on my channel from like 4-6 months ago) and then just be super consistent after that first one :)

    I am stuck with the idea that I cannot afford a laptop worth a fart to upload videos. Everyone says, you gotta spend money to make money....I respect that. However, if it doesnt pan out, I dont really like the idea of taking on more debt to pay for something that never took off. That just restricts me more. Any thoughts or suggestions?

  • @Ricky_Plus_Games
    @Ricky_Plus_Games 3 года назад +1

    Hii. You have explain very well but i have a question about affiliates. For example i want to put down the link of epidemic sound or maybe photoshop. Do i need to contact them and sign the contract so i can receive a certain amount of money through those links or maybe should i just put them in my description without contact the owners of those links??
    I hope you will respond back. Thank you

    • @jessicastansberry
      @jessicastansberry  3 года назад +1

      Yes. You need to sign up for the affiliate program for anything you'd like to make commissions from. Some companies have a program you can just sign up for on their websites or you may have to apply and be accepted but after you're an affiliate for the program you'll have a special link that's just for you so the company will know you sent them the sales.
