LOL I don't think so. I think Deadliest Swarms was playing live on the TV and he started watching his porn which was playing in the background during the call with Scully. Then he stopped the VCR and it went back to the live TV. Trust me I have little bit of experience with quickly stopping what's playing on the VCR and going back to live TV 😜
These two behave like such an old married couple. Even when they're apart a few days they can't help ringing each other to check in. Scully acts with long-suffering annoyance here but you know she wanted him to call secretly. And she's as bad as he is. Remember in 'War of the Coprophages'? She spends the entire night at her home waiting on Mulder's phone calls and getting mad when he dares hang up. Scully even sleeps with the phone so she can answer it instantly in the middle of the night. She gets insanely jealous he's with another woman and then invites herself onto the case. Then she drives all all way over to investigate cockroaches and get covered in poop. All for Mulder.
They play this game of upping the tension between them so well. The other has no idea what to do other than see if space will cure them but it just makes it worse. When he asks her to marry him it's precious, she knows he's "bat crap crazy" but she can't help but be in love with him. So now who's crazy? Love these two.
I was rather disappointed in this one. King is one of my favorite writers and I was excited that he was going to write an episode but it really seemed like he just phoned this in. I mean a demonic doll. It's basically a horror story cliché.
it wasnt a cliche in tha 90s, tha only mad popular xamples i can think of at tha time is chucky/childs play & tha talky tina twilight zone ep from tha 60s
@@awnaur0no919 There was also a popular TV movie in the 70s with Karen Black, Trilogy of Terror, and Annebelle about a possessed Ragged Anne doll from the 70s. I'm sure there are others, at least in literature. Doll possession is an old horror theme.
the funniest part is that he actually _was_ watching world's deadliest swarms

Our girl is " hung up on him".
"This is no place for an entomologist ;-)"
Mulder is so bored without Scully!
He is absolutely lost without her xd
Same as her without him when they replace Mulder to T-1000
Yeah.
I think they both are
You should check other episodes out where they’re not together like….
War of the Coprophages
Never Again
Chimera
Alone
Love how Scully hangs up on Mulder 🤣
This episode is way funnier than I remembered as a kid
Mulder what are you watching? lmao
BTW, the spine on the video case on Mulder's desk reads, 'Alien Probe.' It was David's idea to put that on there!
He's watching the XXX-Files...
Loved this episode.

I love Mulder so much! 💜💜💜💜💜

For some reason, I thought that scene was in a December 1997 episode.
she is so fine in that dorky Maine t-shirt and sunglasses, my god
did they ever make a chinga 2?
That OJ expired in Oct 97. The episode aired in feb 98. Orange juice is hella acidic and most likely still would of been good.
*have
would have been good
Yes but most people buy the OJ then drink the OJ not letting it ferment in the frig.....only Mulder
I've had orange juice that was off, tastes yeasty, wouldn't recommend.
This is the one where she gets back at the end and finds the _entire office ceiling_ full of pencils that Mulder threw up there, right?

Still really good dialogue and execution, it's definitely one of the best Monsters of the week
Yea this whole episode was a dud
It was heavily rewritten, in his defense?
