  • Here’s a scene from “Lover, Come Back”, the 16th episode (70th overall) of the fourth season of the CBS 1978-91 CBS drama “Dallas”. The episode originally aired Friday, February 20, 1981.
Sue Ellen Ewing (Linda Gray) had recently discovered that her lover Steven “Dusty” Farlow (Jared Martin) had survived a helicopter crash, but at a terrible cost. Sue Ellen went to Dusty’s house again where she meets his father Clayton (Howard Keel) who tells her that Dusty isn’t the man he used to be for the crash left him paralyzed and impotent.
Note: Howard Keel makes his very first appearance on Dallas.

So happy that the Supperb Howard Keel - Clayton achieves the success he deserves! Well, not all the huge success that he was worth it, but at least some of that success

A bit of trivia here. This was the only Dallas episode to feature both of Miss Ellie's husbands (Jock & Clayton) in it.

Unlike Karen who 1st met M. Patrick "Mack" MacKenzie (on the 4th season of "Knots Landing"'s - "A Brand New Day,") Sue Ellen 1st met Clayton Farlow, in this "Dallas" episode, with Jim Davis, not only departing the cast from the show, but was dying, in real-life.
