CORRECTION - there IS a presser foot pressure dial on the side of the overlocker - as seen 0:17 - but because it's such an amazing ATD system - you may never need it!!😇
This is the machine I have been saving for. My problem is eyesight now. Waiting on another corneal transplant as my first one failed. The air threading needles would be a lifesaver, I get in a right sweat threading my Janome, threading needles is enough to drive me to drink 🤣🤣
This is a wonderful review! You’re so natural on camera and feels like a friend talking to me vs others. Love how you added notes to the screen and the spinning serger ! Haha had me mesmerized thanks!
I recently bought a lightly used Acclaim. My first server. I love it! Easy to use. Most recently I’ve used the narrow rolled hem for altering a prom dress. The next was going out on a limb and using the wave stitch instead of binding on a flannel quilt. Love it!
I am looking for a airthread overlocker myself and there are several on my list to test and the lower cost babylock is one of them, used one on a workshop at the stitch show, oh wow , the thousand pound one is perfect for me, as long as l have a needle threader on it, l will be happy, could you do a comparison video of air threader overlockers please, l can't choose between the bernadette 64 one , babylock or Bernina 460
Have you seen the Enspire or the Juki MO1000! They’re lower cost and the best brands on the market. I’ve been told by mechanics and retailers that they’re not fans of Bernadette and Bernina but I’ve not tried them yet x
@Abi's Den enspire is the one l used at the sewing show , lovely machine, and it's around the price I want to pay , have seen the juki one but not tried it, as long as they both have a needle threader (even a manual one ) , it will help with the needle threading , at the moment l find it can take ages to thread the needles sometimes
The juki is a little bit above my price bracket but it is a lovely machine, but do prefer the knife from below rather than above , as l think they get in the way and abit clunky . I the ones that you can turn off the blade by pressing a lever or button. There are times l don't use the cutter depending on what l am doing
We currently have two 🤦🏻♂️ Baby Lock Triumphs(Gloria). Absolutely beautiful stitches and so easy to use. Maybe in the future a video comparing the Juki 2500 and the Acclaim. 😂 Which one do you prefer and why?
Personal dilemma I am considering the Babylock Acclaim or the Juki 2800. If you had a preference which would you choose? I am a new sewing so the Acclaim ease of use appeals to me. But, I have Juki sewing machine. Aggghh so hard!
@@AbisDen Hi Abi, got the Victory and I’m so excited to learn more, she is a beauty! I had your review in mind when I chose the Victory. I love my Juki sewing machines, very solid. But wanted to try something different. And Babylock so reliable. Thanks so much for amazing reviews!
Hi Abi, I am back and forth between the Acclaim and the MO 2800. My dilemma is I have all Juki sewing machines, and wanted to try Babylock due to their ease of use and no hassle with tensions. But, I feel like the build quality is better on the Juki. The Acclaim seems so “plasticky sounding and I didn’t like how the underneath of the machine looked; rather cheaply made.
In the uk, I do love the babylock for its ease of threading and the tension balance but the Juki is better structured and sturdy and overall better for features
Guess what Abi,,,I chose the Victory! She is small but mighty, and I can’t wait to start my learning journey. Thank you so much for the wonderful reviews ! Big hug from New Orleans!
The problem is, brother machines are mechanically very poor builds. They are so hard to fix because they never fix right. The cheap machinery and plastic bends and distorts so no mechanic wants the headache of ‘fixing’ a brother machine. I hope that explains that. I know certainly from my own point of view that’s what I tell my customers
Hi! Abi I thought Brother and Baby Lock are essentially the same machine. One just say brother and the other baby lock? That they are the same internal. Please reply. Thank you
@@MJQuilter the sewing machines are assembled and basically the same. They are made in either China or Vietnam… maybe some in other countries. The Baby Lock Sergers however, are made in Japan with the exception of the Baby Lock Vibrant. The higher end models are all metal and follow strict Baby Lock guidelines. The sewing machines are made in a Brother facility but are inspected by Baby Lock and their quality control. I am not a dealer, just reiterating what I have researched and what I was told by my local dealer. If I were to buy a serger, I would purchase another Baby Lock.. currently we have a Baby Lock Triumph. As for a sewing machine, I would purchase a brother to save a few hundred dollars. Hope that helps.
Hi Mary, in the US, Babylock have given Brother permission to copy their machines, they're built in the US, but a true Baby lock is built in Japan, so the quality is completely different. It's a copy, so Brother don't have exactly the same technical build.
Thanks Al. The overlocker machines made by Baby lock are built in Japan. Babylock do not produce sewing machines, those are made by Brother. The market in the US is huge, so Babylock US allows the factory who build Brother's machines use the Baby lock name. Baby lock Japan won't allow a lesser quality sewing machine use their name. Baby lock UK and other countries are of the same mindset, they will not accept a factory to build a sewing machine of lesser quality with their name on the box.

You can do it!

Thank you so much!! ☺️
Just brought my new Acclaim home tonight. I’m really excited to use it.
Best machine ever! Congratulations 🥳
I just purchased this machine and love it!
You told me many items I had not gathered from other videos. Thank you.

Thanks for sharing!I love mine too. It’s a dream machine !
That is a wonderful machine. Thank you for a good honest review Abi. xx
Thank you Christine.

Thankyou Charlotte
Thank you for the review Abi. Happy New Year to you and your family. X x
Thank you Julie. Happy New
Year to you too x keep well x
Great presentation. Great machine features...just wow :)
Glad you liked it!
Yassss ❤🎉 been waiting for you to review a babylock 🎊
What do you think ?
@@AbisDen I love my babylock but I do miss the dials sometimes
I find it strange to use without the dials, which is why they left the, on the Enspire x
Hi Abi, I have the babylock enlighten and love it more than any other overlocker i've trid over the years
That's great!
Hi Abi. Wow what a machine. Happy new year to you and your family.... 😘😘
Happy New Year Lee ✨💫kepp smiling!

Me too!
Thank you Abi!
Any time!

Brilliant! Thank you and oh, yes, that video is on the way - it has to be done really, both same price and both at the top of the league

Same. Both super duper luxurious and amazing. Get them both. 🩷
I will let you know!
How have you got on? If you haven’t decided I’m loving the acclaim right now simply because of the needle airthreading

I thought brother had an auto needle threader on the new Airflow serger. There is no dealer support for brother machines, there’s a lot for baby lock.

I have the Triumph and love it but honestly my new JUKI Akane MO 3000QVP is better for half the price
Who won the phone on this machine
