  • Stacking two blockchain + meatspace projects on one pole, this is dual (maybe triple?) mining. LoRa, 5G, and a GNSS system. If you want to get in the know earlier on these projects, consider joining the Gristle Crüe.

    The power consumption of the 5G part will likely increase when its working flat out transferring data… maybe not up to the 60w but it’s something to keep an eye on if your POE source is limited… it could show as reboots or modem card resets which you’ll spend forever trying to debug 😜

      Thanks Jon! I *should* be covered with a 60watt splitter/injector convo, but definitely something to keep an eye on. Thanks again for the heads up!

    Does anybody have data on the potential earnings from the 5G? I bought the freedom fi gateway, but I still don't have any idea what kind of money I could make aside from my speculative calculations. How could I justify spending another $2500 when I have no idea of what the returns might be?

      i got a freedomfi miner but no antennae, i did not know I had to get the antennae as well. i gotta go get one to complete the setup.

      I think I've seen $60/hr at full throttle (lots of people streaming video etc through your radio)

    I enjoy watching your videos but no way am I investing in 5g or anything Helium any more. Keep making the videos though they are entertaining.

    You know i think all this tech is going to have a future.
    Recently in europe a bunch of billinairs got together., and many near that. John kerry was there.
    They were talking about tracking everyone for climate issues. They talked about we will even know what they eat, where they go, plus much more just to get an accurate carbon foot print. They talked about how they can remain at the top too, i believe.
    Its an existential threat, so.......................................

    5g: you only get paid if so and so uses it AND they use a phone service from dodado or whatever phone company which few use.

    Do you think getting these are worth it in the UK as unsure on if 5g will be available for us over here

      Nope, totally not for anywhere outside the US.

      @@thegristleking thanks for your honestly, I've asked my wife if she will get me a early birthday present and I've asked for you helium course 😉 so fingers crossed 🤞 I'll be able to learn. Will you do more videos on sensors etc and how we could go into that field, for example maybe selling them to other businesses etc and at the same time install a miner in that location so a double win 🏆

      @@josephbrown3647 right on, I've just updated lesson 6 today and have 2 more lessons to update in anticipation of the transition to Light Hotspots being complete. The courses are "life time access" so you'll get any updates now & in the future. I'll be adding 5G & sensor lessons soon!

    How did you get the angle and Asmuth measurements after the antenna was in the air?

  • @James-cd2ys
    @James-cd2ys 2 года назад

    Sweet setup! Now your HNTenna is is running both your helium hotspot and also your Bobber500 5g? Or does the Bobber500 run as a regaular hotspot as well. Didn’t know that we use the same antennas for the 5g

    • @thegristleking
      @thegristleking  2 года назад

      Nope, the Bobber500 has 2 separate radios. One is the standard LoRa one we're all used to, which is what the HNTenna is servicing. The other is the 5G side, and that's down in the office.
