Live Lunch is a free all-ages live intimate performance & lunch at Wealthy Theatre in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Lunch catered by Taco Bar Company.
Kate Tempest started out when she was 16, rapping at strangers on night buses and pestering MCs to let her on the mic at raves. Ten years later she is a published playwright, novelist, poet and respected recording artist.
Wealthy Theatre is a 100+ year-old venue fully restored for retro & indie films, live music, comedy, theatre, lectures, presentations, community gatherings and more. A beautifully restored historic landmark in the heart of the south-east Grand Rapids neighborhood.

Same here her words are reflections of a brilliant mind and a soul that feels the pain and joy of those who have come before us and the messages in her poems are the truthful statements of what we need as much as oxygen and will always be what we ever needed to truly survive and feel alive.

Kate Tempest rocks my world. Real talk is rare nowadays. Very comforting words as always. Makes things feel a little less lonely when you hear empathy, especially from somebody involved with the grime scene. For a second I thought Kate said "Will the penis wait forever" not "will it be this way forever" haha
