"Get out of my chair" officially the best line of this movie.
I like when he threatened Christian - "Hey, you. Anything happens to my daughter, I've got a .45 and a shovel. I doubt anyone would miss you."
@@Joe_Parmesansuch subtlety too!
@@Joe_Parmesan That line reminded me of Red threatening Kelso in his garage in That's 70 Show.
"You think the death of Sammy Davis left an opening in the rat pack?"
When dad came home, if there was a friend in his chair, I told them to move. If dad was in the room, he would be like, no that isn't necessary while I knew he hated sitting on the couch.
"it's mostly kids not knowing who likes them" just like in the original novel 😂
“Played by a time traveling Paul Rudd” no but fr this man never ages
Shout out to that man’s surgeon, that face is a master class is mixing good genes and subtle intervention.
True, he's like fine wine, he simply gets better with age. I can't believe that he's 52 years young now!
Lol
He look like he just made this movie last year. Lol
He and Keanu are from the same brotherhood of immortality.
Moral of the story:
"If your sister is step, the law says yep."
cruel intensions
"She knows what you're doing, so get to screwing."
But if she's under 18, don't slide it between
Well, they were not actually related, were they? He had different parents, and she did. Only his mother then lived with her father. But I never understood it the way they shared a parent. I don't say it's ok but, well, it's a bit different from actually sharing a biological parent.
🤷🏽♀️😂😂
"The only relatable character for anyone over 25 (Get out of my chair)" That made me laugh so hard. Well done.
Lol
I watched that, paused and simply called out "Nailed it!"
Mr Butabi has always had problems with his slacker kids.
I was hoping they'd include his quote with the threat against Christian
How could he not say for the male teacher, "NEVER GO IN AGAINST A TEACHER WHEN GRADES ARE ON THE LINE!"?
"If highschoolers were really this clueless we'd have way fewer seasons of teen mom" killed me.
Alicia Silverstone was so good in this you can't help but root for her.
sad that her career went down with the bat nipples, in her case the lack thereof.
Hehe hehe hehe heh root heh
Yeah Yeah BADOINGGGG yeah
She was very charming and Cher had growth. With the wrong actress it could have been just a shallow vapid teen girl but I felt like Cher had a genuine heart she just kept messing up when she involved herself in other people's lives which is the whole plot of the movie. Alicia Silverstone was perfect
Yep - it works because she’s clearly smart and a good person, but also spoiled and a bit silly.
I love how the movie relishes in the fact that it's the '90s. Much like The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, it defines the decade so well that it becomes practically timeless.
Yeppers!
The 90s referenced itself more than any other decade.
Love this comment. It’s a timely and timeless movie.
This comment makes no sense. If it was so timeless, why are you referencing 1 specific decade?
@@Cuzjudd the movie is SOOO dripping with 90's culture that it almost feels like a modern period drama set in the 90's. it doesn't feel dated - it feels intentionally vintage. you watch it totally aware of the context of the era it's set in.
RIP mid-budget comedy films... also RIP Brittany Murphy, you were too cute for this world.
Too cute? What the heck is "too cute for this world"?!
so you're saying she is better off dead because she is too beautiful?
@@nelsonta00 maybe the world does not deserve such cuteness??
Facts, mid budget movies are so missed. It's what makes cult classics or big franchises later.
Appreciate the love for Wallace Shawn - I met him once and he was the sweetest man. One of those people you can instantly tell is a good person through and through.
I love Wallace Shawn. He’s so talented and funny, and in some of the best movies I’ve ever seen.
All of this is 100% true but I don’t care this movie is perfect.
Came here to say this
For Michael K. Williams, say "Spread the word, darlin'. Omar back."
Respect. RIP.
He's not Trapped In the Closet anymore.
Whoa! Michael K Williams passed away?! Unreal... :(
Also say, "Man gotta have a Code."
I don’t know if y’all give this movie enough credit. Like the script is actually pretty genius
Well when you consider what Clueless is an adaptation of, that's a given.
Because it's an adaptation of a Jane Austen's novel called Emma
@@paolacaviglia982 I mean I do know that
Jane Austen wrote the book that inspired this film so yeah
My favorite scene in this movie will always be Brittany Murphy changing her outfit repeatedly while standing still at a party. I have done this multiple times in her honor
Can we get a honest trailer for 1992's Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Or the TV show
My 12 year old self was in love with that Buffy! Haha SMG did a great job too.
No Kristy Swanson .
I think they did it already. Not sure though.
Oh my god have they not done that yet? No they did that! I swear I've seen it before and it was rad but I'm too lazy to search.
Honestly, this trailer makes me want to watch this movie *MORE.*
It's still a really good feel good movie. Rich people who work and aren't uberevil.
@@0ceanicify Exactly. Cher is just that fucking loveable.
True!!!
It’s a genuinely fantastic movie…and still probably the best Austen adaptation since the Firth miniseries.
The nod to "Not Another Teen Movie" was spot-on. That's a great movie. Watched it again last year. I was laughing a lot.
Lol agreed
I love that movie!
It should be shown every day like Shawshank
it’s honestly classic, and captain america long before he became captain america. jake wyler will always be my chris evans
That movie makes me happy in pants.
The thirst for Wallace Shawn in this video is both excessive and completely accepted.
If we're doing random '90s movies, there's one about Jamaican bobsledders desperate for an honest trailer...
ah yea Cool Runnings
Jamaica got their bobsled team, now they need some Honest Trailers
If we want to play with young Paul Rudd, he did a movie called "Overnight Delivery" with Reese Witherspoon. If you did an Honest Trailer for that, you could pretty much mash it up with Road Trip to show how they both have basically the same plot.
I love that movie so much! I watched it a million times! Underrated classic!
Is that movie any good? Never heard of it...
Yes that movie is good! Yes watch it
Overnight delivery was so solid
Also, Bridget Jones' Diary was also a modern retelling of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice.
To the point that a character's name was literally Mr Darcy.
They really did Elizabeth dirty in that one, though.
I was waiting for the reference to 'Emma' and am so thankful it was there. Not enough people know what it's based on. Thank you!
"Help brother, im stucked in the washing machine" KILLED ME.
I thought you guys going to make "She's all that" honest trailer, since Netflix make the sequel (or a remake?🤔) "He's All That"
"Clueless," Baz Luhrmann's take on "Romeo and Juliet," "10 Things I Hate About You," and "Cruel Intentions" are my favorite "your assigned reading for this week is now a major motion picture starring the centerfold from your Tiger Beat magazine" films.
Before the trailer I was just like this movie is legendary. Nothing can change my mind.
Clueless is one of my favorite movies and has been since the 90s. I laughed at the trailer...still absolutely love the movie
Well.. It is
Did not expect the washing machine bit, fell of my chair laughing 😂
Please say, "You are not a horse. You are not a cow. Seriously, y'all. Stop it."
This was really well timed being that I watched Clueless for the first time a few days ago.
"The always sensual Wallace Shawn." 😂 Thanks for that!
This movie is a MASTERPIECE. a clever and humorous and heartwarming remake of Emma
What about the movie Emma? Have you watched it
Much better than the last adaptation!
References to his character in The Princess Bride everywhere kills me. Wallace Shawn is awesome.
Since you’re scuttling around in the 90’s, do The Crow, pretty please and thank you very, very much? (Oh, and please say “it can’t rain all the time”)
Since you're doing 90s teen movies can you also do 10 Things I Hate About You?
Please say, "In a world where movie trailers accurately reflect content, ONE VOICE STANDS TALL!"
Could we get an Honest Trailer for _The Sopranos_ before _The Many Saints of Newark_ comes out?
Paul Rudd is a vampire or a "Highlander" immortal or something like that and I will NOT hear otherwise!
Yes, and Jared Leto is even more so than Paul.
@@TheBOG3 Agreed.
“The always sensual Wallace Shawn”
Me: yes
John Sturgis+ Connie Tucker 5evah
I know we're all super cynical in 2021 but I really like this movie. It's quaint in a charming way and even heart-warming.
Please say: “What is that? An honest trailer. Says who? Screen junkies.”
Love it!
100% here for Honest Trailer’s robust defense of Jane Austen
In all fairness to Clueless, Mr. Knightley DID first compare himself to being an elder brother to Emma before back peddling at the Highbury ball.
@@crystalward1444 They were kinda related in an extended family way....
At least they didn't remake Mansfield Park. Not sure what arrangement can be made for Fanny and Edmund.
Knightley and Emma were in-laws via his brother ad her sister, so kinda parallel to what Clueless did but not quite.
@@crystalward1444 I have read everything but Mansfield Park. Emma and Knightly were not blood kin. Which is all that really matters.
Now, the only logical place to go is a trailer for Clue, right?
Lol...but which ending?
@@crystalward1444 all of dem~~~ 🤩🤩🤩 1+2+1+1🔫
Please say "this unsweet tea has left me scarred and deformed" in whatever voice you want, I'm not picky
This was screen junkies’ infinity war.
Also, do Not Another Teen Movie next!
Do an Honest Trailer for Hocus Pocus
It's time... to do an Honest Trailer for Spaceballs!
Honest trailer for Dodgeball!
It's a bold strategy, let's see if it pays off for them.
I love this movie and Cher is a sweetheart and she does become a better person.
She made over her soul 🥰
Yeah, they really missed the point a lot with this trailer :(
Where is the honest trailer for Daredevil? It's about damn time don't ya think.
An honest trailer for scrubs would be amazing
"I keep one in the chamber in case you pondering." For Micheal K. Williams aka Omar Little.
Please do an HONEST TRAILER for HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER!!!!!
"I am cought in the washing machine" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 floored me....
Do Revenge of the Nerds. So much Honest...
Just realized she picked the top/bottom part of the outfit with the exact same pattern.
Good thing she has that machine helping her.
calm down, edgelord. why are you roasting cher horowitz like shes a real person. it's a parody
@@helenetanner7911 It’s not based on a true story?
Thanks for clearing that up . . .
Also, you’re using edge lord wrong.
3:52 I spit my water out 💀💀💀💀
4:28
speaking of emma 2020, I'd LOVE an honest trailer!
You got to do "Blast from the Past" now man.
"A $2 brain full of $10 words."
GODDAMNIT if that's not 120% accurate.
Movie taught me the word “sporadically”.
You had me at Dursting of Fred.
For Michael K Williams, please say: "I ain't building no bookcase."
In the most mocking way possible you should totally try saying "it just works"
"Get out of my chair!" - Yep, I can relate to that.
Can you do The Animatrix for either Star Wars Visions or Matrix Resurrections’ release?
Thanks for acknowledging the source material! ❤️
Honest Trailers voice dude is a worldwide treasure.
Come on, just do a Ninja Turtles 1990 trailer already!
Well, now I need an honest trailer for Blast from the Past!
Second that !
I'd like to watch but I'm a chud. So I'll go back and watch the Drinker.
Still waiting on that Doom Patrol HT. C'mon, season 3 is right around the corner.
Clueless is one of those movies that you expect to be crap but actually is a great flick. The writing saves it, truly. It’s definitely from a bygone era - nowadays when you expect a teen romp movie to be crap, it is.
I agree. Clueless is such a great movie, and I agree with you that most teen movies suck. Probably the last four that are considered great are: Booksmart, Superbad, Mean Girls, and Election.
I know it’s a bit late for this week, but next week it would be nice if you did The Wire
"A college student dating a 16yo" it could've been worse. In Emma, Nr. Knightly is like 35 and Emma is like 16...
Not another teen movie reference, love it
Please do a pair of honest trailers, one for the Stargate movie, one for the many stargate tv series.
One of the most amazing movie it's so nuanced after all it's adaptation of Emma by Jane Austen
It's literally just the surface plotline, though...
Breaking out into applause was a thing back in high school for me. I can never know why they did that.
I wasn't even trying to be on time for this
Totally a thing...
My year 7 class was particularly applaudy with me... they knew how to play along with each other and make teachers cry
1:37 - "With Cher's bestie, Dionne! Who's job is reacting to stuff!!"
Makes sense, Stacey Dash is a Reactionary...
You missed the best line of the movie: "I got a 45 and a shovel...I doubt anybody would miss you.
3:21 A good time to request a Half Baked Honest Trailer
Paul "Bitten by Michael Morbius" Rudd
this movie is perfect, nobody can tell me otherwise
I need a trailer for the "Tremors" series - 7 movies and a TV Show!
This was my favourite film growing up!!
Clueless is an absolute classic
Despite all the knocks, this is a hilarious movie.
I'm pretty sure it's less breaking out into applause and more banging the desk when something exciting happens...
"What are you doing stepbro..."
Oh no, I'm stuck watching Honest Trailers again. What are you doing, Step Epic Movie Trailer Voice Over Guy?!
Do Buffy The Vampire Slayer.
Yesss
I totally lost it on the "step brother" part, lmfao xD!
Could you say "I, Honest Trailers Epic Voice Guy, have a dream."
Ah- La- See-Ah Silverstone is so over the top in Clueless. I love it even now. 🥰🤣😂
0:48 Now is the time 40 year olds should write about being teenagers in the 90s.
You have to do David Lynch’s “Dune” next. That will be amazing!
They've got a few weeks still...
@@crystalward1444 He's talking about the 1984 film.
whenever someone drops their plate in the cafeteria in our school, everybody stands up and claps, and I mean EVERY SINGLE student
Please do a Birdemic: Shock and Terror Honest Trailer 🙏🏾
Oh god, even with MST3K commentary I barely made it through that movie
When is the honest trailer for Sing coming?
