So happy for the guys that win these awards just to be in the top 8 is an honor to win the Ridler Award must take your breath away .I have been building cars and bikes since I was 14 and still do,it makes me happy to see this.
Very comforting to see that craftsmanship is still alive and well in America. I had a hand in restoring 3 double decker 1953 London buses in the USA, not to these exacting standards I might add ! but very familiar with the hours of time and money required. Great cars and a very professional video.
Could this be the most beautiful car ever shown at the Ridler?? Those WHEELS lord have mercy I've never seen anything like them!! I'm a chrome freak so I love that too!
Since my teens it has been exciting to watch the years roll by (74 now) and all the great creations over that time. The two most impressive facts are these: the stunning quality of the craftsmanship, and, the modest humility of the people behind these cars. Very impressive, still.
Loved the video; great cars, great interviews, great videography/editing... BUT..... the one thing that kills me about shows/awards like this one is that, overall; the guy that got all the credit, was the guy that footed the bill for the build... rather than the builder himself. When I see PHENOMENAL craftsmanship like this, I can't help but feel like, the ONLY ppl that deserve the recognition and praise are the ppl that DID the actual job!? And I think that's why the phrase "Built...Not Bought" has become such a staple amongst enthusiasts....? Anyone can hand an artist or master-craftsman a bunch of money and say, "Have at it!.. Make me something incredible.", but very few ppl actually have the vision and skill set to build masterpiece cars like these! And imho, those are the ppl who should be recognized and praised, not the jackasses throwing their money around. Anyway, great video none the less.
buddylee19082 To call the financiers of the build jackasses is going a little far. Without them the craftsmen couldn't push their skills to the limit. I appreciate both the guy with the skills to build, but also the guy that truly believes in the guy with the skills enough to put his money where his heart is and write the huge checks required to produce these incredible machines. I think this competition is a team sport. Only a select few can both build and finance.
great show, if not the greatest of its kind. BUT, for all the love, hard work and dedication the prize should be accompanied with a cheque 10 times what it actually is... ;-)
The guy probably spent over a million dollars to build the car and only received a ten thousand dollar check lol. But the car itself was a showstopper. A real beauty, congrats.
Great workmanship- I just wish traditional cars got a better reception at Ridler. Enough with the 22inch dubs- this is why Ridler cars look dated a after a few years. The blue Model A and George Poteet's deuce tudor were amazing though. I remember when that tudor was just a chassis, and they showed all the design sketches in Rod and Custom magazine. Turned out even nicer than the drawings.
that orange pick up was so beautiful an that silver vet was crazy. an the winners paint was unrealistic. the only thing i hav a problem wit is sum1 having the car get done vs the person actually building the car. the guy that won he didn't actually do the work. yeah the car was amazing but he didn't build it.
Rule number 1 should be that you need to be the builder to submit a car for the show. If you want to give the guy who wrote the check, then give him a box of cracker jacks.
At what price do you Insure these pieces of Art. These are cars for your Living Room, where you keep the Picasso and Leonardo Da Vinci. Art and Craftsmanship as One. Impeccably Superior Machines. A Dreamland of cars
Jumping that car that high on asphalt with concrete sidewalks and large concrete pillars on each side , Woooooooo weeeeee , that driver has BALLS the size of KING KONG !!!!!!!!!!!
Gr8 (pardon the pun) film, but for just one shot I would like to have seen the winning car (and all cars) with doors, boot/trunk, bonnet/hood shut to see the car as one entity.
Being a General Lee and Charger fan, that wasn't entertainment to me :( Being an Aussie, those General Lees were some of our first taste of American Muscle cars, just saying :)
I truly enjoy watching videos of the various car shows around the country since I am a true 'automobile fan'. But Two - Lane Productions; you need to be sensitive to the fact that your videos are being viewed by an extremely 'diverse' audience. Many of my family members and friends are automobile die hard 'aficionados'. Because of the serious history of injustice exhibited in our country along with the deep sacrifices made by so many of us in many religious, racial and ethnic communities, I must state the following. Beginning the video with a 'confederate flag' on top of the opening vehicle 'offended me deeply'. My family has a deep history dating back to the early 1800's of dealing with profound sacrifice to our nation. Along with these symbols of bigotry, bias and intolerance, sensitivity to the long history of injustice must be considered when producing videos viewed by all Americans. The AUTORAMA RIDLER DISPLAY AND AWARD represent the best of 'our country'. The sacrifices and purely superb, technical and intellectual skills exhibited by these craftsmen, craftswomen and staffs, along with entire families, represent the finest of many American traditions. Let us all celebrate this high level of excellence understanding how we all are citizens of one beautiful nation.
all of the creative talent that went into the cars at the show, then there are the destructive people that like to take classic cars and destroy them to no doubt feed their very hungry egos. such a shame that the latter group aren't clever enough to destroy themselves. still,. the world has a percentage of skewed, inadequate, perverse people. all I can do is to hope that they get well soon.

Thanks for the story behind each vehicle. It makes it even more special.
duradim1 you are welcome!
All cars here are amazing and warrant a lot of respect. These are the results of passion and enormous talent. What a great video

All the Great 8 are beautiful, but that 33 Ford Ridler Award winner is truly spectacular. They made a good choice.
Could this be the most beautiful car ever shown at the Ridler?? Those WHEELS lord have mercy I've never seen anything like them!! I'm a chrome freak so I love that too!

But, the cars themselves in the Top 8 ? I'm speechless, all of them deserved to win something ! :)
So many cool cars - so much talent and work involved.....
Great video ,fantastic works of art thanks for sharing.
The winner might be the most beautiful car I have ever seen.
this car is the apex of beauty just heavenly congrats as the winner!!!!!!!!! and congrats all the others to !!!!
The attention to details of these vehicles is amazing.
Congrats Steve!!! You deserve it!!! You have built so many amazing cars over the years. There are many talented car people in Oregon.

AMAZING CARS!!
I agree with the winning choice, but all of them were truly awesome.
Good for you buddy. love the all cars.
Well deserved Buddy! Congratulations! That sure is worth the effort! God Bless!
I think the builder should be getting alot more praise than the owner. All he did was paid for it. The builder is the real winner.. built not bought
You make a valid point...HOWEVER....without the MONEY of the OWNER....the builder would never get it done!
@@1950harleycharley that not about the money but the vision, money comes anyway if the vision owner have a will
Takes both. Take either one away and there is no car.
the workmanship is second to none i am mostly a modern high performance car person but i can appreciate this can they be driven
@Allen - yes, yes they sure can be driven Allen :)
Wow! Real pieces of art!
Good on ya Buddy,amazing job
BEAUTIFUL job guys !!! STUNNING !!!

Unbelievable skills to build these amazing cars.
Can't believe 4 thumbs down. Why are you even here ?.
It was probably the deliberate destruction of a classic muscle car just for kicks at the beginning.
7 germans visited this vid
the attention to detail is mind boggling
I need to get back to Autorama, it's been 15 years since I've been! :'-(
Great builds
Top cars in the world hard to find the winner as they all look fab
I could not stop looking at that Vette, Amazing!!!
Well deserved indeed. I couldn't judge that award at all, an impossible task .

That 33 FORD is sexy and the music works for it.
Beautiful cars!
The winning car is absolutely stunning! It looks like a prewar French automobile. It’s simply sexy af! I wish I had a picture of it!
My god those are some beautiful cars.
great show, if not the greatest of its kind.

Buddy Jordon.....that is one sexy piece of machinery, jaw dropping, inspiring and damn......one of a kind.
Mr. Frisbie all I can say is "WOW"
Thank Chip Foose for coming up with this style that they copied. Chip did this style first in design school which became the Plymouth Prowler.

Wrong..Lol without the owner all you have is a wet Dream !
@@apachedream3080 Wrong ... the builder is the genius behind the car !
Two Lane, that's the James Talor movie that Finnegan from Roadkill is into, right?
Give you this video a BIG LIKE 👍
Awesome work... Seriously I'd just let the general build me a beautiful vette

At what price do you Insure these pieces of Art. These are cars for your Living Room, where you keep the Picasso and Leonardo Da Vinci. Art and Craftsmanship as One. Impeccably Superior Machines. A Dreamland of cars

Gr8 (pardon the pun) film, but for just one shot I would like to have seen the winning car (and all cars) with doors, boot/trunk, bonnet/hood shut to see the car as one entity.
"Trailer Queens".
They should make the winner do that jump, now I would pay good money for that hahahaha
I think my car has more in common with what's left of the general lee than the cars on show?
And that's why the General Lee's doors were welded shut in the tv show........
ESE PREMIO ES DE LOS VERDADEROS MAESTROS QUE DEJARON ASI ESA BELLEZA .EL ES UN DUEÑO CON DINERO ,NO CREO QUE TOMO NI UN TORNILLO.
That Charge Victoria did good
Gosh i just took my car for a wash and thought it was the cleanest thing on the road....Damn was i wrong !!
Now I think somebody should fix the General Lee and enter it in next years show.
Dem dukes dem dukes!

Being a General Lee and Charger fan, that wasn't entertainment to me :( Being an Aussie, those General Lees were some of our first taste of American Muscle cars, just saying :)
Andrew Murray Yeah a landing ramp would've worked a treat.
FYI .... That was a reskined Ford Crown Victoria ...and all the parts came from Original Parts Group
Andrew Murray trust me brother it hurts here too. I hope it was a replica
i hope they got more out of it than saw,
otherwise might as well have give the time and money to charity

Havn't enough 69 chargers been wrecked for dukes of hazard lol love it though.
I didn’t know Warren Buffett was into cars.
I'm surprised that his "WOF" was involved
