Beautiful !! Thank you for sharing a nice video. I'm just reading "Icons of England" edited by Bill Bryson in which Satish Kumar introduces Dartmoor. It's really wonderful. And the music is fantastic, somewhat resembling the sound of Shakuhachi, traditional Japanese musical instrument.
Hi, the music is by Mark Abdey, Along the Wild Water. It's listed in the credits at the end. Mark also has a blog and is currently exhibiting at the High Moorland Visitor Centre at Princetown with an exhibition of his work and music, called Life of a River. The exhibition is on until 03 March 2013. I've put the link to Mark's blog in the film description.
Thank you for your great comments, the film was shot in HD and is available to be played at one of NPVC, Princetown on request. Please arrange in advance visit@dartmoor.gov.uk
my question is: there are marks, some sorts of streets, indications for going there alone and dont ghet lost? i wanna go there this summer and camp there alone.
You'll need transport, there are few streets as such. Maybe consider one of the campsites first before attempting any wild camping. To wild camp you'll need to be a competent navigator with a proper map and compass and be willing to walk a fair way with your kit. This map shows you where you can wild camp. www.dartmoor.gov.uk/visiting/vi-enjoyingdartmoor/camping/camping-map
Hi, yes it's Wheal Jewell Mine Leat by Tavy Cleave on the West side of the moor :) It's one of my favourite walks, the Tavy Cleave really is beautiful.
Lovely film, Dartmoor is a fantastic place
I feel really sad to be watching this on youtube when I am 10 minutes away. So beautiful
Love going up there to paint no matter what the weather.
Dartmoor is stunning to paint in the autumn, the colours are so rich

Very beautiful and very inspiring. Some absolutely fantastic camerawork and great music. Would there be any chance of seeing this in HD at some point?
