Quality video. Nicely put together sir.
What's with someone using the flash on their camera/phone?
One of the bits of advice you get about taking photographs on the railways is no flash photography.
Shows great respect for the driver.
It was a member of the public. We asked them to switch the flash off do it didn't blind the driver. Didn't have much effect. You get a stupid look of them.

Thanks for the reply.
As you say, you asked.
Sadly some people don't get it. Look at the Flying Scotsman trespassers. Unbelievable.
It's getting harder to take railway photographs and follow our interest at some places, without numb nuts like this person just giving the powers that be more excuses or reasons to prevent us following the railways.
At Edinburgh they pounce on you as soon as they see a camera. The blue hi-vis militia. You'd think you had an AK47 or an RPG in your hands, not a camera.
NYMR is my favourite railway, had a couple of good caravan holidays pitched up in the small paddock near Goathland station. My partner would wave at every train that passed. She loved A4s.
We even shone a torch at the semaphore once on the approach to Goathland, heading towards Grosmont, for the very late running light loco off the dining train. It was nearly 1am, the class 40 the other end of the train had issues and it was terminated at Goathland. The train didn't get back to Pickering until very late at night. We were passengers on it. I knew the driver or fireman would have trouble spotting the un-illuminated signal. We got a wave and a thank you from them as they passed.
Good luck folks.
Have a great 2020 season.
Super video :)
I think the driver was trying to play Ilkley Moor Bah Taht on his horn!
As they do :)
I think he succeeded 🤪😜😄😎🤠

I wonder if there usually kept at volkers scunthorpe depot
I think they are when they are not being used or require maintenance
Фантастический 👍👍👍
Sorry for what could be a daft question, but why the DB loco, which seems a long way from home?
I believe the DB loco brought the drain from Derby
DB have depots all over the UK. I work for them myself.
@@stephensmith4480 Ah, I see, I would never have guessed! Thanks for the info.
Mark, Mark and Mark allegedly accompanying/driving.
Driver Mike Pattrick brought them up from Donny to Tees Yard
and then yes, Network Rail's, MARK Bridel and DBC's Mark Stonehouse & driver in training Peter Fuller accompanied driver MARK Wetherell up to Grosmont
@@Wetherelly edited to include Mark
Why you using flash guns I got a bollocking from a train driver one day for firing a flash. I was using the test button by hand to light up a parked Class 33 10 30 at night for a stationary night shot 30seconds at f22. i had no idea the driver was sitting in it he got out and tore into me. I think on hind sight i deserved it.
The flash was being used by a member of the public stood close by. He was asked to turn it off but some people seem to know better.
Footage complete with blowing Bin bags... reminds me of another channel....
