one of my first memories was when i was like 4 watching my brother play ocarina of time when it first came out, still my top 3 favourite games of all time, amazing game, and every time i play it nowadays, huge rush of nostalgia
Short term memories here. You forget game genies, expansion packs for games, re-release games with extra content and if a game was broken, no fixing it, you were stuck with broken games
Back then when you always got a full game. Expansion packs did came out later in gaming, but still the base game was complete. Expansion pack wasn't even ready before releasing the base unlike the DLC today. They have already DLC showing. Which means.. we won't include in the game. You will the very basic game and you have to pay for the characters (that should've been int he game already) so you can play with them. We all know it's BS. A DLC should be an after-thought and maybe in a few months that you can see a first DLC as extra. But they already have the DLC ready when the game is already released. Horrible gaming time actually to be in. Everything is half finished... if people won't moan about the bugs and still paying it why spend more money on staff to fix it. I've never seen this many patches for games as before. We get half finished games... patches up later (unless people won't moan, no patches anymore) Scary isn't it?
My mother passed away 3 years ago and she loved games as much as I do. Tetris Sphere was one of her particular favorites. Thank you so much for posting this.
+uAintBoutDat Lif3 You were lucky to have a cool mom that liked gaming! And your mom was lucky to have a kid like you that still remembers her 3 years later. My condolences, friend.
Armando Bueno Nuñez i’d say it’s still the best tbh. Mario Kart, F Zero X, Wave Race, Diddy Kong Racing, Wipeout, and Beetle Adventure make it the best just cuz of those 6 games imo
It was the first 3D home console (well, first that people actually gave a shit about) and racing arcade games were starting to take off so it only made sense
Born in 1994, very good times indeed. The N64 held up for a long time. Was still being used in afterschool care programs / entertainment settings despite newer consoles. Banjo, Donkey Kong and Super smash graphics were legit as. Not bad still to this day. There is a bar in Melbourne, Australia that have multiples couches set up with N64s and Smash bros. Thats how classic this system is
you thought the graphics were the shit at what 5 years old during the n64 days? i was like 8 when the n64 was at it's best with ocarina of time and i didn't give a shit about graphics nobody did back then lol graphic whores came after 2000
Was more powerful than PC those years. Until 1998 N64 had better graphics than regular PC games without 3d acceleration. The Quake saga and Id software balanced the competition. The problem was the carts with limited memory until 64mb and the downgrade compared to Sgi dev kit. The real potential of N64 you can see on KI arcade.
When i first played Wave Race as a child.. i think it was around the age 6 or 7 i was blown away by the wateranimations. Even my dad stopped by to admire how realistic the water looked by the time. I feel blessed that i could live through the time which i would call the Golden Age of Nintendo. I miss my SNES and N64.
My last favorite nintendo console, and i'm glad i still have mine in mint condition. I play it more than any other console i have today. Retro gaming>any other consoles today. It's still fun playing amazing games like Mystical Ninja Starring Goemen,Turok Dinosaur Hunter,Turok 2 Seeds of Evil,Goldeneye64,Quake 64,Doom 64,Mario 64,Pokemon Stadiums 1+2,WCW/NWO World Tour,WCW Revenge,WWF Wrestlemania 2000,WWE No Mercy,Conkers Bad Fur Day,Diddy Kong Racing,Mario Kart 64,Zelda Ocarina of Time,Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask,FZero X,Star Wars Rogue Squadron,1080 SnowBoarding,Super Smash Bros,Ogre Battle 64,Perfect Dark, and Star Wars Shadow of The Empire.
Star Fox 64 and F Zero X are still 1000% enjoyable today. I recently completed both, and they hold up so well, especially compared to a lot of the N64 catalogue which feels pretty dated unfortunately, as much as I love Nintendo.
Yeah even I grew up with N64, and never knew that game exist on the console. I used to play Worms on the computer. Then again I never played about half of the list on this video..
The games that i played are: 1080 Snowboarding. Excitebike 64. Cruis'n USA. F-Zero X. Mario Kart 64. Mickey's Speedway USA. Paperboy. Pokémon Stadium. Pokémon Stadium 2. Rugrats in Paris. Star Wars Episode I: Racer. Super Mario 64. Super Smash Bros. And Yoshi's Story.
So many games I've never seen or heard of, and so many that were like the foundation of my gaming childhood. +alecathesensfan I'm considering it. I have some stuff edited, but there already lots of good "100 GameCube Games In Ten Minutes" videos already available on RUclips - so I don't know if we need another one. Still, I might push through and finish it up. :)

Note that list contains *no* Superman.
Gary ?
@DiceDodo Superman was a fun game, beat it a few times; hard game tho
A Nightmare
Superman was terrible but had some great concepts
Superman 64 is the greatest air swimming game of all time
mario kart broke friendships.
mario party broke families.
hahahaahahah
Mario party also broke joysticks
I remembered the time 2 of my friends started punching eachother to the Mario Kart soundtrack. It was hilarious lol
Facts i still hate my punk ass brother
Mario kart....yea - I had many fights with my best friend, even destroyed gamed - N64 era.
Back in the day when no DLC, no pay to win. Its just awesome to play.
True that
Yep an when u could be a bad ass an plug in a gameshark if u wanted to an be boss tittieZZz

I am sorry to hear your mom passed away.
Fun Fact: Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 was the very last game ever released on the N64
I actually did not know that, and n64 was my favorite.
W H A T
I thought it was paper Mario AND PAPER MARIO IS IT WAS MADE IN 2001 and GC was made in 2001 soo no fun fact
@@NotSads0 Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 came out on August 20, 2002 :P. So Yes, it is a fun fact.
@@lolfunnyguylol no it is not it was made in 2001 I googled it
i always thought the AK in goldeneye looked like a pencil
jay de reminded me of a battery. Duracell I think?
Omg me too!
I didn't know it was an ak till 5 seconds ago, it was known as the pencil gun
lol
Two very strong arguments jay de and Ryan Boshell
Damn, there are a lot of racing games for the N64.
It was the best console in its time to play racing games since it had 4 controller ports
Armando Bueno Nuñez i’d say it’s still the best tbh. Mario Kart, F Zero X, Wave Race, Diddy Kong Racing, Wipeout, and Beetle Adventure make it the best just cuz of those 6 games imo
Destruction Derby 64 was the best tbh
It was the first 3D home console (well, first that people actually gave a shit about) and racing arcade games were starting to take off so it only made sense
And he forgot to mention the best: Diddy Kong Racing
Ocarina of time the best
I like majors mask better for some reason. Zelda will always be my favorite. Hell, most games/developers took bits and pieces from Zelda.
Meh. Majora’s Mask was way better
That was the first open world game I played. I was so addicted to it lol
Se me hizo muy grande
Era mucho para mi
This was a major factor of my childhood. Still probably the most excited thing I have ever got in my life that console.
I swear, my childhood was very well spented in N64 😍😍😍
kirby 64 looks really good compared to the orther games tbh
Snackies yea
Yeah Sure!(ocarina of time, super mario 64 ,majora mask)
76.Tigger's Honey Hunt too
Perfect Dark also
Stop acting like Perfect Dark, ocarina of time and pretty much all other games on this list don't exist

Bryce Fabian they still are to me tbh all i play is gba ds games i love those consoles
Bryce Fabian yea becuase you were like 3 in 96 lol.

Im old enough that i remember being told this system had the best graphics of all time lmao
At the time, it did.

Honestly coming back and seeing some of these games surprised me on how well they still hold up graphics wise
I remember going to blockbuster and renting these games when I was a kid.
I miss Blockbuster
Dirty Noob X me too man
Same here. God I wish we still had blockbuster.
People could rent games?

This was the "golden era" of video gaming. It all went down hill after this. Jet Force Gemini and Banjo Kazooee were legendary games!
Too Accurate.
Eh. I'd say PS1 and PS2 were just as good.
“It all went downhill after this” - 🤓
That was the quickest 10 minutes of my life.
Operation WinBack did some serious damage to my controller... when I smashed it up in a fit of rage
that game was amazingly good. Far ahead of its time.
Superman 64 fucked my b button. Cannot believe Iplayed as a kid.
bro play android to esey not a risk
Conkers bad fur day! what an amazingly fun game that was
My grandma took the game from me when I was a kid when I was pissing on the fired dudes. I got another copy and she never knew
Super Mario 64, F1 Grand Prix, Zelda Ocarina Of Time, Star Wars Racer, Mario Party, Mario Tennis, Mk4, 1080 Snowboarding....such great games
Seeing Paper Mario brought a smile to my face.

CLASSICS NEVER DIE! ⭐
Gold childhood times! :)
My childhood in a nutshell. Couldnt stop smiling when Banjo Kazooie was shown.
Riding my bike to Blockbuster and renting video games was what I lived for.

There's no DK Racing :(
Saving it for the next N64 video :)
Hossamism1 It's 2 years later.
I'm Diddy!
Or Pokemon snap. Diddy Kong Racing and Pokemon snap were some of the bigger titles in my childhood that didn't make this list.
What list?
YES BANJO KAZOOIE
Yes he is
Turok was the bomb it works great on an emulator still playing it to this very day.
Superman64 is the best game ever made.
Agreed
Martijn van Zanen That game change mY life for ever, simply the best:)

Even today the water animation is super flow. From the graphics to the music, the whole game brings a very sense of joy.
Thank you so much for this piece of nostalgia. For me, the only game missing was Road Rash 64.
007 was the best. glad my dad kept his from when he was a teenager and still has it. lol i still play it till this day
