Without going out to double check, this is more like mine
We bought this product for our Eriba caravan. It has a 6300 canopy which is great. These panels etc just don't fit properly. It has been a nightmare and is massively over engineered for what it needs to do. We are now trying to return this and we will need to go for a simpler option. The videos look great though.
Im looking to put such an awning on the side of my light truck... i was also thinking it looks complicated... i might go with a simple bag awning and hang sides on if and when i need to,,
I make awnings to measure.

Is this just initial setup for everytime you use this it requires this much work?
LOL, are you serious? Every time a (!) shows up in the upper right corner, read what is stated in 4 different commonly used languages "1st time installation". If you do decide on that product, times should get interesting when you have to read the manual.
Es gibt beim Residence G3, zumindest bei dem für die 4,5m breite Markise, eine Besonderheit die man wissen muss. Die Frontwand ist kürzer als die Markise (ca. 4,3m). Dazu gibt es eine QUALITY INFO von Thule...... ----- Shorter front Res G3 / Kürzere vorderwand Res G3 ---- Wenn man das, so wie ich, nicht weiß, verzweifelt man nahezu beim Aufbau des Zeltes. Selbst mein Verkäufer wusste das nicht und musste die Info von Thule einholen. Bei dieser Version sind dann die vorderen Ecken "schräg" zulaufend. Muss man nur wissen.

I wondered why these were so expensive, now I know. You’d need to be staying for a fortnight at least
Only so involved for the initial set-up. It would take no longer that a pole or air awning, once erected a couple of times.
If you want a cheaper one that doesn't fit so well, there are other makes.

Seriously... whats between the ears of people who go to so much time and effort to make a great video on how to install something... and then play crap music all the way through and not speak a word of instruction? I walk away from this lengthy video hardly learning a thing. Thanks for that tiny bit I learned lol. A time waster to say the least!
Maybe because it's multi-lingual!!
