This song was recorded with 3 others before our 3 album deal with Row Productions in 1995. We just love it heavy, other influences came to play so we lightened up our sound a little for the cd's haha, cheers :)

This is an awesome demo man!! I would love to start a heavier death-doom band like this. This was a great compilation also!!

Excellent death-doom!! Sounds like early Morgion jamming with early Grave!! I just discovered the Norwegian christian death-doom band Antestor's early material and had to hear this again. I had heard this comp back in 2004 or so at a local record store in Peoria, IL and remember thinking Etherial Scourge was pretty original sounding but someone else bought it bought before I could. So I got this comp off Ebay in 2019 (brand new!!) and have to say there isnt a bad band on it. Australia had such a great death metal bands back in the 90s (Armoured Angel, Disembowelment, Abramelin, Cruciform, etc).

I swear there is SOMETHING different about the production here than the other 3 songs Metanoia had on this compilation. Like maybe the mics were positioned slightly different in the recording studio, I don't know. But the guitars have this rich, melodic swell to them here that they don't on the subsequent songs. Idk. Maybe I am crazy.

You're not wrong; something was just very right on this particular recording in comparison to the others. The guitars sound insanely full and rich! Also, the drumming on this one's a beast!
