The amount of onions was a food-challenge by itself. Great win, I can only imagine trying to promote/support a Canadian business and they serve you overcooked and cold food. Joel, you are a true Canadian to not say anything!

At 14:49 the questions was asked: "You enjoying it though?" I don't know if was an owner or manager who asked. Scott said delicious, although I don't really think it was. Joel, to his credit, said "It's alright". Major points for tactful honesty Joel. Oh, and I didn't hear him say "compliments to the Chef" after burping. Another honest play.

They cheaped out on the meat and added more vegetables, bread and fries which are more filling compared to meat. Looks cold and gross.
An ungodly amount of onions!! My guess is if the nasty burger didn't make u vomit they were banking on all those lbs of raw onions doing the trick. I would pull that challenge off the menu if that was my place, totally disgusting
Mans world sweety pie. We were the ones killing wooly mammoths whales tuna and won every war to man kinds history amongst mankind itself just to fish in the seas even through 1940s sardines shortages. I guess females evolved from eating things that looked pretty. Not sure. Women push babys out of there guts. I guess thats gross but beautifull at the same time.

Mr. Hansen and Mr. Scott are my favorite competitive eaters, so my support goes above and beyond. Great job as always, guys. However, the joint holding competition is very disappointing - on so many levels. Pure shame. Removed it from the Island list right away. chatching up a little late...but hey the naked guy looked so much better than those nasty looking burgers and tonnage on the topping. Joel...now you know about malt vinegar, and you love it! Magic of malt vinegar, a goodly amount in gravy with pepper added and that gravy, any gravy, will be drinkable...bread dunkable, so you can stop pouring water on your bread, one last thing. Joel, absolutely drown your fries in malt vinegar, it will do soo much to soften them up b4 you get to them...Joel, trying to reach Joel...leaving Malt Vinegar fix for all problems...someone, please pass this onto Joel! love the show, love the challenges, love Joel!

May I ask how you got into competitive / professional eating, where did you start learning to train etc, I live in Aus and there's a new 5kg burger challenge and I don't want to fail in front of my kids and let them down, so I want to learn any tips. I'm 43 and used to eat big (well to normal size eaters around 3kg dinner every night without trying) but now I can't seem to eat big feeds.

@@almac9203 no, unfortunately prolonged sickness and now inability to eat huge has affected me.
I could still do a 1kg tomahawk steak with some vegetables, so maybe 1.5kg to 2kg feed, but that's about my limit now.
Mr Scotty is was as I predicted he will be, I told you when he was young and afraid months ago, he will be great! Look at him now! No fear, no guts, all victory!

Nah Joel, you spoke the truth. Allegedly This Challenge sucked. Nothing wrong with expressing how you feel in a respectful way. Right is right and wrong is wrong, and if allegedly this challenge was trash, it should encourage the owner and staff to come through better next time for other locals and travelers. Just serving you trash food in hopes you fail so they can double down on the money. Kudos to you all
