Very nice passenger trains where you are. Finally getting some nice high speed trains in Florida. Not as quiet as they are still diesel-electric, but we still like the sound of internal combustion V16 Locomotives.

In Germany the trains basically run with a safety system called PZB (Punktförmige Zugbeeinflussung or something like punctual train control system in english) This System works with 3 sorts of magnets that give information to the train. However there are some specific speeds programmed into that system that are restricted and if u go over that speed the train will stop witt an emergency brake. After a full stop and direction change the system will allow u only 45kph (~28mph) BUT there is the possibilty to "free" urself with a button. It seems that the traindriver in this video forgot to do that and... the system said... "Well ur going faster than 45kph? NAH!" *engages ful emergency brake* . This is only an explanation what MIGHT have happened here bc the PZB is way moore complex but as a Traindriver myself ^^ This is the most llikely thing what COULD have happened. (and trains running faster than 160kph (99mph) are controlled by another system and so on)
