Update: I Decided to keep the wand I pointed out in the video. Ended up being a decent damage upgrade! since the video released all wands have sold. Broke about even while keeping the big spell damage wand. Also Wand bases were traded for, not self farmed! Just something I forgot to mention in the video. They ranged from 13 divines to 25 divines depending on the roll and availability.
What about also using divines to add to the craft to try and reroll some of the lower rolls? I never see anyone showing crafting with divines at all but if all the affixes are good it could be worth it right
it can be. there is some psychology behind that. For example, if cast speed is a really important stat for a player who is shopping for a wand, and the roll can be 28%-30% if the wand is divined to 30% cast speed, it may be the difference between that shopper buying the wand and not. The reason is many people's brain will snap to even numbers and also maybe even subconsciously think it is the next tier even though it is not. basically I agree with you.
woah finally i made it, i just craft storm bane attuned wand with good stat 135% spell damage 204 mana +4 lightning spell 29% cast speed gain 20 mana perenemy killed
If you arent chasing cast speed as a mod on the Wand you could use the greater lightning essences to force a %increased lightning wand instead. I had to cut cast speed on items due to the increased mana cost :/ sitting at 9k mana with 3.6k regen
So actually funny enough, my cast per second is at .18 casts per second. Equipping a 23% wand from a 32% has little to no effect for me. That was the main reason I opted to take the big spell damage wand over my current wand. Totally true though. Sometimes people actually don't want a 30%+ cast speed wand or even any. Only problem is it could force the as extra lightning too

I found a T4 siphoning wand in sekema trial last night and forgot to id it for a few hours. turned out to be a wand worth about 100div. best drop ive ever had.
People are nuts if they are paying such prices. +4 all spell skills wands are way cheaper and more likely to survive the upcoming nerf bat to shock as well.
if spark gets nerfed just go to lightning orb/ lightning warp and use orb of storms for electrocute Cc. its way more fun than spark and better for breach
@@shredmonkey686 Spark is just an AOE vehicle for archmage really. Plus poe has a long history of scaling spark in pretty much every league. I don't think that spark itself is necessarily in risk of a nerf but the interactions around it certainly are. (I'm looking at you archmage.)
@@Snugs_TTV tbf the strongest part in that build isnt spark, nor archmage. its a combination of things. CI, EB, MOM is the best defense in the game. Lightning Conduit scaling is absurd. Double shock with now real downside is absurd etc. just nerfing archmage by 50% will not kill the build. the higher investment ones will prolly not even notice
@p.h.904 that's the big issue isn't it. For mere mortals still playing with items bought with exalted orbs and 30k tooltip dps on spark, the nerf will be immense. Whereas the 200+ divines builds will still have a cake walk with every end game content. GGG cannot nerf from the bottom up. They need to look at how the interactions scale and make sure a BiS spark build doesn't reach 200k dps while leaving alone the peasants like me with 30k dps. Too much damage witg godly items means bad game design decisions in the scaling.

the optimal amount is whatever you can afford to sustain with mana regen^^ my spark eats 400mana/s and i cast around 6 per second. right now ive 3.4k mana regen. so just sparking is fine. but if my cast on shock setup procs often enough i will drain. good thing bosses insta die^^

@ i agree with u but sometimes alot of people value pure dps on wand better. Good video regardless but I recommend instead of greater essence of haste, go for greater essence of sorcery. More cost effective if u decide to mass craft
@@fortuna5962 Times have changed as well. During the making of this video, cast speed was valued very highly. Meaning wands were valued extremely far lower without cast speed. Plus it is one of the only mods you can 100% force onto a wand.
@@EventHorizon8-p3g since there is not much spell damage on the tree, spell damage is a bigger increase since you get a lot of damage as extra from archmage. That damage as extra gets multiplied from your base spell damage. So if your base spell damage is significantly higher. all damage as extra gets boosted.
@Snugs_TTV super helpful, thank you. Do you have a rough idea or where spell dmg becomes more interesting than +skill levels? Like would a +100% spell dmg +3 skill be better than a +60% spell dmg +4 and +20% spell dmg +5 skills?
a few of them have already fortunately. I recouped about half of my investment plus kept the big spell damage wand. So I am happy enough with the results. -edit: another one just sold. have made up about 3/4ths of investment
secret strat ive been making bank with. buy ventors with negative rarity. scale this further with the ring scaling belt. -100 iir is more than enough. farm high quant, low rarity t17maps (t16maps+regular +breach tablets). i get around 5-20 white ilvl 81+ wands per map. if you inculde other bases (stellar amulets, sapphire rings) u make around 3d/map
So I was looking at it and I am actually not sure. I need to verify. It's not the lowest tier mod that is removed it is the lowest level requirement that is removed. Really bad wording on the whittling however I am a little scared to hit it lol.
@@Snugs_TTV on poedb u can check the level requirement for mods. thats what the whittle looks for. not the tiers. it required lvl 22 to appear on the wand. every other mod should require a higher lvl. therefor its safe
@ yeah I just saw the title and thumbnail and as a sorc main I know that’s far from a 200 div wand, needs like spell + lightning dmg total 185%+ and mana + mana regen + cast speed + 4-5 skills then it’s 200 div

With 2 gain 2% mana on kill gems and malestorm flask it fixes that. I. Up to 6 cast a second its wonky lol

when you get to a point where your gear is all stacked, you kinda splurge.
if spark gets nerfed just go to lightning orb/ lightning warp and use orb of storms for electrocute Cc. its way more fun than spark and better for breach

When he used exalts on the god roll wand and not a greater caster essence I knew life per enemy killed was coming >_
if you use caster essence it doesn't guarantee cast speed. wand value drastically decreases without it.
the one with 10life per enemy killed you can whittle that off no? should be really low lvl req on that mod
