Same problem, charger would never read it was plugged in and would stay green dispite the battery being at 1 bar. Replaced the fuse which FYI is located in the front end, just look for that orange fuse, its easy to spot.
I just took my literally brand new S2 out of storage and it doesn't even turn on at all or take a charge. I'm going to try this and let you know if it helped. I appreciate this video it was very helpful. Thanks Christian.

I didn’t read all the comments, same issue in my brother’s Hiboys2. I’m going to tackle this to his hiboy. I charged the hiboy all night didn’t charge the scooter, the charger is good out putting 42 volts. I’ll update you guys. Thanks for the video 👋🙂
had this same issue and swapping the fuse fixed it- took less than 2 minutes to swap the fuse once I had the bottom off, it's right there at the front in some yellow tape- thank you for the video, was worried I'd have to get a new scooter

Dude!! You are the man. Mine wouldn't charge. The fuse looked totally fine. Got a newer and higher quality fuse from auto parts store and it charges like a champ now!!

Hey bud I'm glad it worked out for you! When my S2 pro stop working I really didn't want to deal with the manufacturer, so I opened up my scooter and tested the fuse with my multimeter and sure enough I found the problem!
I just opened my s2 pro, the fuse was bad, was in a rush, lol, so I just ended up soldering the bad connection back together, I’ll replace the fuse when I get a chance. Thanks again for making the video, thankful it was just the fuse.

Luckily yours was only a fuse. You can check it with an ohm meter or just a test light even. My scooter won’t take a charge after only using it a little while. Hiboy won’t replace it because it has been past the six month warranty for their battery. (I used it twice a week to ride about a mile each time.) I bought it in July 2021 but didn’t use it from December to March. I didn’t let it plugged in. I stored it inside the heated mud room of my house.

All these people looking for the fuse, can't find it, AND no one made a video? Also, from the comments, it looks like the battery dies if unused during the winter months. Hope someone with more knowledge about this problem posts a video about storing hiboys in the winter.
Christian I have all my wires out exposing all my connection and there is no sign of a fuse. The connectors smaller than that standard fuse I didn't bother removing the wire covers but there's no fuse to be found. What the he'll am I missing? Lol.
Thank you so much! My Hiboy S2 Pro lasted about a year and a half, and today it just started not charging. I will be ordering a fuse kit from Amazon as this is my only real form of transportation. So far the HiBoy has been the most reliable and well built scooter I have ever owned.
This guy is awesome followed the instructions and it completely fixed the issue. Even when I took my fuse into the auto store they said there was nothing wrong with it but once I put in the new one it started charging properly. Goes to show you can't see it just need to change it. Thanks again!!!

Gonna trust you. I opened my Hiboy S2 up and found what I think are 2 fuses. There’s the Amass XT60 Fuse and another one wrapped up in tape, I’m assuming the one wrapped in tape is the one that you replaced. Going to go to Home Depot in a bit to pick up a few 5 Amp fuses and cut the tape open and replace it when I get home. Fingers crossed.
I can’t find the fuse. There’s tape on multiple different cables. The one I thought was the fuse that was taped up was black under the tape, not the fuse. Can’t find it, think mine has a different kind of fuse, idk. Gonna try buying a new charger….
Cus there’s something like a fuse which is the Amass XT60H-M but I don’t know about replacing that, I’m just a random 21-yr old I don’t have like a soldering thing.
You might have the newer model, the older models had the fuse that was easy to replace. The fuse that I show on my thumbnail is underneath the scooter wrapped in some orange tape. If yours doesn't have it then you have the newer model.
A video tutorial on changing the fuse should include video footage. Talking thru it helps, but video is the reason why people are searching for solutions on RUclips.
Yeah that means the source is going at full 5 amps. Warming up the fuse to do that. If a fuse does not pop is because it is running at full amps like 4.9 amps.
I hope this help people I believe he was mistaken or his is a different year model the s2pro after 2015 does not have a fuse how I know I'm bought fuses and open it up it does not have a fuse in there I work on electric bikes
I wouldn't recommend a fuse that's bigger than the recommended. That fuse is there to protect your inside components. But I'm glad I was able to help you out! Take it easy have a good day my friend
I’ve had mechanics do this. I understand it could be a risk but I’m not changing the fuse every time I have to charge it. I’ve only had it a a month. Charged it then rode it and now it won’t charge. If it catches fire so be it 😂 I’ll keep you updated

My Hiboy S2 was charging when I went away for 2 weeks. When I returned, it was dead. Nothing lightning up on the "screen" at all. Not sure if battery dead, if something more serious like "motherboard" or maybe it is just a fuse? Guess I can try the fuse swap, since that is cheap.

Hope you found it. If not, it's connected to a white plastic part that says "FUSE" on it, and the white plastic part is connected to the blue battery through a red (and black) wire.
It's really sounding to me that there might be two models of the S2 Pro. A lot of people can't find the fuse, and some do find it. Sorry you can't find it.

I have hiboy max. Only had a year bought in 2019. Stopped charging… comes on and shows one bar but when I plug it in the charger it has a green charge. I’m going to try this. I hope it works!

@@christiandiaz8006 update: the s2 doesn’t have a fuse 😞🥲 mine turns on and the leds turn on if I push the power button again but it won’t boot or show the mph. Won’t move even it I kick first. And connects to app but shows nothing

The wire bunch with the Fuse is closer to the front wheel. You'll see a plastic fuse taped with orange tape. It might be camouflaged. But I assure you its there. Again this is if you own the Hiboy S2 pro.

I opened my S2 pro bottom and I can't find this fuse. There's only 6 or 7 connectors and non of them are the size of any standard fuse. What gives?

Depending on what model you have, I hope you have a fuse! Newer versions of the hiboy S2 don't have a fuse.

Essentially these fuses will pop like batteries and have to be changed after every other week or so depending on use.

Hope you found it. If not, it's connected to a white plastic part that says "FUSE" on it, and the white plastic part is connected to the blue battery through a red (and black) wire.

I changed the fuse but still not charging my scooter, it has not been damaged or gone into the water. Is there another way to fix it?
Could be the charger itself. If the charger has a red light, might be a good time to swap it.

What's the name of the fuse that you replaced and After you change the fuse did the scooter work for you.

It's really sounding to me that there might be two models of the S2 Pro. A lot of people can't find the fuse, and some do find it. Sorry you can't find it.

@@christiandiaz8006 what year did you buy yours? My battery is black. Just looked everywhere no fuse. Perhaps they no longer have a fuse in newer models? Mine is from 2020.

I have hiboy max. Only had a year bought in 2019. Stopped charging… comes on and shows one bar but when I plug it in the charger it has a green charge. I’m going to try this. I hope it works!

Better yet, how about you make a video and show us exactly how to fix it. You can show us. Unless you don't know how to look for an orange tape around a fuse.

You can go to your local auto parts store and ask for the fuse, very cheap.

Wow that's weird because everytime I plug my scooter to charge, it turns off, not turn on. Sorry I'm not sure.
I have the same issues. Any luck? Hiboy sent me a few things to do to reset it and nothing has helped yet. I also cannot find this fuse!!
@@daniellefaries6966 Issues? This video is only about one issue---a faulty fuse. There are two versions of this scooter. Hiboy S2 and Hiboy S2 Pro. If you cannot find a fuse you might have the S2 version which doesn't have a fuse.

I would say I had less than 40 miles on my scooter before the fuse stopped working.

@@christiandiaz8006 update: the s2 doesn’t have a fuse 😞🥲 mine turns on and the leds turn on if I push the power button again but it won’t boot or show the mph. Won’t move even it I kick first. And connects to app but shows nothing

You might have the Newer model, someone in the comments mentioned that Hiboy started removing the fuse.

The wire bunch with the Fuse is closer to the front wheel. You'll see a plastic fuse taped with orange tape. It might be camouflaged. But I assure you its there. Again this is if you own the Hiboy S2 pro.
