- My Life as a Sheep Farmer (SHEEP CHORES & MORE): Vlog 171
A day in the life is back!
Today is Monday…done soybeans and back in my BARN!
Nothing really extra planned, but my typical chores and helping Mark finish planting some last minute wheat acres before the rain.
This video takes you through a typical morning of sheep chores which is really just feeding, bedding and observing.
The afternoon I am on call to help Mark where I can…
#sheep #sheepbarn #chores
Question…
What is your favourite ‘tractor snack’??
Or, if you’re not a tractor driver…
What do you pack for snacks on a long road trip??

You work so hard! Folks need to appreciate how hard farmers work!
Grandma was German and baking was her "jam". She would start at 3 in the morning. There would be hot cinnamon rolls or apple strudel for breakfast after chores and before school. During planting or harvest time lunch was usually "chili buns". They were delicious hot or cold. A yeast bread roll stuffed with fresh made chili, baked in the oven with melted cheddar cheese on top. You need a grandma there to bake/cook for you Sandi!
I have recently started watching your channel. I’m not a farmer I’m just a viewer with a dog. However, I think you and your sheep are amazing. I recently watched your blog on mental health and cried with you and really felt your pain. I think you are doing a fabulous job and hope you have more success in the future. Good job and Thank you.
Yass
It is rare that there is a video I missed, but here in December 2024, it came up … and i had missed it. So here i am, watching an older video. This is my happy place on RUclips.
The intro you have is adorable. Cartoon you and sheep is what you should have on your merchandise. It's too cute! I really never thought I would be into a 🐑 channel, but I love yours. I have even shared some on my Facebook page. Your doing a great job!
You learn something new every day. I have not seen red wheat before! It is really red.
Farming if often lots of little jobs which, to an outsider, may seen unimportant but in reality are the chains which keep the program running smoothly.
Rams and ewes are looking good.
Thanks Susan! The red seed is really red due to a seed treatment that is used to protect the seedling in the ground. It actually is just a typical beige coloured (with a hint of red) for this soft red wheat.
You are always an inspiration, especially when I don't feel like doing much around the house. Thanks for keeping me on my toes.
LOL! Thanks Linda!

Sandi Brock you’re a clever girl popcorn
Popcorn is cute
Learned more in this video once again. Thanks for sharing. Your lunch for Mark in the field reminded me of what we used to carry with us when hunting in Colorado. Usually, some jerky or sausage snacks like you had for Mark, a couple of apples, maybe some potato chips, and plenty of water. Food on the run - sometimes it's really good - especially when you're hungry.
Sandy, your videos are very informative. Not only sheep, these videos also show us the farming techniques of your country.
Thanks so much!
@@SandiBrock do u take take out your sheep for grazing?
Salute to you mam. Godblees to your hardworking family
Sandi, a happy husband is extremely happy when the good wife brings him a healthy lunch and his favorites to snack on.
G'day from Northern Australia. My tractor meal is corned beef and corn relish or mustard pickle sandwiches, a thermos of hot sweet tea, a handful of apples and a huge slab of fruit cake and a box of muesli bars. If I put sliced tomato on my sandwiches the bread goes soggy. Cheers, ~D.
Love it! Thanks for sharing!
Love watching yourself & marks videos over here in England keep em coming as a non farmer just enjoying the videos. tell mark would love to walk around on the case combine xxxx
He is going to do that! I'll make sure to remind him!!
@@SandiBrock thank you xxxx
Please keep the way you always do I have been very interested in every thing you do. From NZ
Hi there
Great job. I am also proud to be a farmer.
Great new video Sandi keep them coming!
Thanks!! Will do!
Hi there, I'm from Philippines and my father was a sheep and a goat farmer too, I help him always after school, I like the method of farming you do, and the equipment that you have, it is automatic and reduced the time of work and hustle. 😊
Fhilipin.
Hola Sandi
Felicidades por su trabajo, me encanta ver sus videos aprendo mucho de ellos. Soy un productor de Guanajuato, Mexico.
Cheers to you Farmer Sandi!
Thanks!!
My go to has always been a RC Cola and a vanilla Moon Pie! When I would help my grandad and uncle on their farm, this was my pay for the day. I just loved helping them out but the drink and moon pie absolutely phenomenal!
If you and Mark can ever get away, you should go check out the New Zealand's north island to see the beautiful sheep farms. Heavenly place!!
Amazing farm Sandi! I like it. I love the work you are doing!
Sandi you super ,,
Always enjoy seeing you in your element!!
Thanks for the great vids, sheep can be very very smelly, but cute . Nice open area for sheep.
i'm sure he liked his 'lunch' hehe... love ur video's x
Thanks for sharing is video very nice
Thanks for watching!
Feeder carts sure look like rejected zamboni machines. Thanks for the look in your life.
LOL!
OMG Sandi you're such a hard worker. Don't know how you do it, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year, year after year. I need a good nap after just watching this video! :-)
LOL. I get Saturdays off of chores in the barn! And you know... often, thats enough! (Guess I love my job after all...)
lol I used to eat a bag of chips and 2 liter bottle of soda 2 slices of pizza from the local gas station for lunch or we just went hungry till diner time. your hubby needs to know hes got it lucky to have someone who does the same work with him and brings him lunch too
Thank you for that in-depth look into your wonky day with different unrelated tasks. I was wondering if you put a couple 8' long metal tube feeders in both of the sections for the rams and the ewes when you feed them and then manually fill the feeders after you have finished feeding the usual way to solve the problem of no feeding space left for the ones who cannot get to the usual feed bunks? On the tires try "stop leak" tire paste that you squeeze into the tire filler tube.
Thanks Noel!!
I really believed you were going to dismount that tire, patch it and mount it back! LOL.... Tractor morning snack, egg tacos on wheat tortilla...Mexican life!!! :-)
Good video Sandi look like be cheaper to sell a few heads then expand unless you want to produce more .looks like you have your hands full now but you for sure need to make a discussion be safe Sandi tell Mark hi
I always say, my expansion will be through improvement... I don't really need more sheep... I need to do better with the ones I have! Totally agree!
My kiddo is a sub, and man oh man...that Telehandler. He's OBSESSED! Uggh. Tire probs=no bueno.
I LOVE MY TELEHANDLER!!!!
Thanks You earn your money with those sheep. Yeaaaa finished wheat.
I really enjoyed you in depth vlog on breeding sheep.
thanks Mike!
Wow, a different way of sheep farming, I am used to them been in big open fields.
So clean everywhere. Very nice. Hi from Russia
Another informative video thanks for sharing
My pleasure Tony!
I love when you have your hair up it suits you.
I eat a lot of home made beef jerky. Keeps for a while in my lunch box. Otherwise, PB and honey sandwich, chips, granola bars, and yogurt or pudding washes the dust down. Can't eat it all at once or I get the 2:00 sleepies.
Nice very hardworking job. I appreciate your work.
Love your work Sandi .
From Palestine to you nice and great year and sheep keeping 😊👍💖
Thank you so much!
Sandi, love your videos and perspective. After watching you, I am tired. I am off to brew a cup of coffee.
With all the work you do, I don't think you are a candidate who will say, I have to go to the gym to burn some calories.
LOL! Thanks!

Very nice I love it
Wow, I like your day.
Love your sheep set up. When I was raising sheep, 150 ewes with lambs, I fed them using 5 gallon buckets for carrying grain to the feeders and a hand cart to take the bales of hay out to them. I notice you don't roll or grind their grain. Wouldn't you get a better utilization of the feed if you did? By the way my tractor snacks when I was still farming was, pepperoni sticks, jerky, apples, chips, candy bars, cookies, pb and j sandwich and a soda to wash it down. Cheers...
Really love this kind of work..great job..
Not a farmer, but Kind bars are excellent! They are perfect for a snack or meal replacement (when you're just too busy to have a 'real' meal).
Congratulations!
Very clean and inspiration mem
thanks for you
big fan of you. you done a fantastic and hard work.
I have a tractor oven, and for the long days and night it's nice to have c a hot meal on the go.
Amazing video keep up the hard work !!
very good and clean work
Thank you for video! Super sheep farm! 🙌👍👍👍
Wow amazing vidio
I pack donuts, 2 2Liter bottles of Squirt soda, cracker's and whatever is leftover from dinner I made. But I have some serious stomach issues that has really affected me from being able to keep food and drinks down. 2 years ago I lost 135 lbs in 8 months, I went to a clinic everyday for IV fluids and everything that your body needs to be able to function but sometimes that would cause issues as well
Oh wow! Thats not good!
Very nice, i love your job. God help you
Love the day in the life! And I love a ham/cheese/pickle roll-up when I'm on the go. :D
I need to try these!!! YUMMERS!!!
Well said😁

Very fine sheep farm...
Amazing barn and feeding👍👍
I Am enjoying your vidioes
Wow loved the video! I just started making farming videos and I hope one day I am able to make them with the skill you do. Keep up the great work!
I am not collecting a crop but rather getting rid of horse bedding. I use the tracker to load it then spreader is used through fields. In the truck (pulling the spreader)I have a drink but have to watch the system as it likes to throw chains. If you don't see it go it can be hard to find. On the tracker nothing as at some point the wind blows it back on you so no eating or drinking.
I love this....very much...thank u a lot
Super video
Hi love to see this video you are awesome in your professional working.
Keep it up 👍 lots of people are only thinking about it but now we're all see that you have done it . day after tomorrow your off ALLAH (subhana watala )bless you of his blessings and peace . Thanks for giving hope for all those who are not standing in this position.
Lots of prayers and wishes from Pakistan 🇵🇰.👌👍.
Bonita granja ...love it good job.
Thank you Sandi for the sharing 😁😁👍🇸🇬
My pleasure!
Mango Banana smoothie, granola on top. Sliced ham or prosciutto wrapped breadsticks, celery sticks with cream cheese&pineapple or dried cherry's or carrot sticks. Candied pecans, walnuts, macadamias with dried fruits like spicy mango. Or cold pizza or grilled cheese (with 3 cheeses). It's all got to be gluten free though (celiac sprue). Make it all the night before, store in frig and then run for it.
We had to spray our gravity wagons every couple years with that graphite (?) spray. I like to have simple sandwiches for lunch and maybe some chips, pretzels, nuts, licorice, beef sticks/jerky as something "chaw on" inbetween. If we're still out there around supper time, depending on what we're doing, someone will bring out a nice warm meal.
Great job
Now watched 4 of these videos,, I love how you do nearly all of the manual work yourself,,, we used to be a diary Farm,, then in 2000 became beef,,, These are great topics you are putting out there,, and i guarantee you will easily hit the 100k subs... Keep it up.. Fantastic
