Hi Bobster, seeing this video refreshed my soul, it's been a few years since I could visit with COVID closedown and my own health mobility issues. It's strange how you can find a place by accident and it becomes a return to place time after time. So good just sitting in the shade of the trees watching the world go by sighhhh. Cheers DougT

I wholeheartedly agree such a beautiful area. Also I feel very safe walking the streets night or day. Hope you do manage to visit soon you are clearly missing Salou very much.

Hi Bobster, the Salou town area is my favourite part, lots to see and do, regular bars/cafeteria's. It will be good if they do convert the by-passed railway line to a local tram to link up with the new station at the theme park. Cheers DougT

That's a great idea. Do they have any plans to bring this to fruition ?

@@welshbobster3634 hi Bob, the plan was mooted a couple of years ago according to Xvier at the info point @ Place d'Europe. A light tram from Cambrils/Salou linking to the new station @ Port Adventua and Vila Sec. I guess change had to come with the new high speed trains as the old single line with passing spaces was not up to it. Cheers DougT

Have you checked out the video on the H10 ? Lovely Hotel. Check out the Harry Potter Bar opposite. Great for snacks and drinks, and cheap too

@@quaker57 10 mins from Beach and same to bars and restaurants. Beach gets really busy. My advise would be walk 20 mins to Levante Beach much quieter

@@quaker57 yes dual carriageway outside but not a problem. Unless I suppose if your room is on the corner of the building

@@welshbobster3634 Levante Beach is the busiest, you are better walking past the port to Poniente Beach, that is the quieter one. Capellans beach, the cove to the left of Levante Beach is also a bit quieter than Levante, although still very busy.

Hi Bobster and all Salou watchers
Try a RUclips search for Weather Update Chanel, it's got a clip of the flash floods in Tarragona, cars swept away (a couple with folks still inside?) It looks like. The Canary Islands have been badly hit too. Guess it's all to do with that cyclone/hurricane off the US east coast? Cheers DougT in Mancs
