Not bad, we just did a 2014 on roughly 83 percent e85 and made 780 wheel on 14.5#'s of boost but it was at the limit of the fuel system. We could have brought the e content down to about 70-75 percent and squeezed 8-810 out of it but felt it was solid as is. I wish it would have been a 13 with port injection so it would have been a much cheaper build with better end result but when dealing with DI its different.
@@james10739 They can handle pretty good power, but you need to get the tuning spot on and keep the fluid temps between 160 and 180 and never hit 200. 200+ especially under power will lead to it blowing.

Hey there! Glad you enjoyed our video AND were able to find a truck you like! On this truck I believe he just went with a stock bottom end setup: but cammed, heads/valvetrain, ARP headstuds. Essentially our "HotRod" 5.3L with ARP add-ons. However, if you're planning on throwing a bunch of boost at it, I'd recommend just going with our Boost Prep series for the forged internals. www.strictlyperformance.parts/engines

Ethan Vaughan When I ordered my LSX engines from GM I spoke to the rep and asked for a few extra stickers and metal logos. Give GM a shout- I’m sure they’ll send you some.
Mustang Dynamometers use a slightly different method of measuring power and (ours is) a loaded style, so it provides/simulates road resistance as if you were driving on the street- whereas (most) Dynojets do not. Mustang Dynos typically read 12-15% lower horsepower numbers than Equivolent Dynojets. Dynojets are the industry standard for displaying Wheel Horsepower.
Is a 4.8L silverado worth putting a turbo on? Just curious because that's what mine has in it and the truck only has 80k miles so can't see the need to engine swap to a 5.3 or 6.0 just yet.

Did u gap the rings? I didnt see the engine even come out.
Thats probably why it inly makes 700whp. To push it any more would probably require gapping the rings.

Alot of times being a loose engine with miles put on them you don't need to gap them. But better safe then sorry.

without the link for the ported heads, the rest of the parts alone are around 10k minus dyno tune and install..
