mathias de potter NOOICE! Lol, that icon must have confused people who wondered what it was. Maybe I should have an icon of one of those creepy ass Wiggles puppets.
Banjo - De Potter M. It's you? - I'm banjo and this is my bird Kazooie - Kazooie hello - because LittleBigPlanet fanatic fan 2007 vgcp thinking you laugh all the other guys that's so annoying because you need to stop laughing
the best line of the movie: "you didn't have restrictions when you designed that airship." "no, i didn't, and what happened? they laughed!" "yes, they laughed, then they built it."
Imagine if this scene had been the entire rest of the film - eighty minutes of puppets laughing, laughing. Laughing. A whole generation would have left the cinema in tears and it would have been hilarious.
There's an art gallery near where I live that had an artwork like that - it was a dark room with a projection screen, which played a movie, several hours long, consisting of four people in party hats continually laughing. Not entirely sure what it was meant to make you feel!
This was actually from a movie. Thunderbirds was a show, yes, but Thunderbirds 6 was a movie, hence why it's in 2.35:1. It's also loaded right in the front of the movie too, this is, like, one of the first scenes. Personally, I saw it on TV first but on a movie channel like Starz or something, and they have printed it on blu-ray from Kino Lorber and DVD from MGM. Definitely watch the two movies, it's good stuff.
These are definitely A1+ puppets. The sculpting level on them is insane - you can see that some of these guys have filled teeth, for one, and others have details of their throats, including the uvula (that dangly bit at the back). And all for a sequence lasting a few seconds.
This scene may be called Puppet Hell, but I'm with the laughing guys on this one. Why would Thunderbird 6 be an airship?! Thunderbirds are supposed to be fast, agile, and quick! Airships, well...they aren't that. I'm totally with the guys laughing on this one.
JerryBear712 because this was set in a future where everything is atomic. in context with the rest of the scene it makes sense but basically the head of that group introduces Mr X as "the designer behind the incredible Thunderbird craft, who is going to tell us all his brand new revolutionary idea" and they're all expecting SuperConcorde or a light speed spacecraft. also worth remembering that this is a 1960s-made vision of the future. :)
@@jesusramirezromo2037 Though OTOH, with the tech level of that universe it should have been possible to built an atomic airship. Yes it would be slower than a Super Concorde, but it would be able to carry a lot more stuff. A bit like a Helicarrier or the Iron Vulture, just more atomic.
I assume they got drunk afterwards, then felt bad for him (since he is completely inarticulate) and decided to go forward with the plan, only to forget about it all, the next morning
Famously, the late Mr. Anderson despised working with puppets. I like to think he was showing us the kind of hell he had to go through with this sequence.
yep my profile pic
still no regrets
+mathias de potter Looks like there were some...
Mediocre Will Hunting
XD I did indeed change it, but i'll change it back just for you!

You have no idea how long I was searching for the source of this GIF. And now I found it. My journey is complete.
I grew up on these films, imagine my surprise when I see it in a meme lmao
Same but i just found it in two minutes 😂 i searched “white puppets laughing” 💀💀
Today I just found thru a random friend I made on the Internet, my long journey has finally over.
Imagine if this scene had been the entire rest of the film - eighty minutes of puppets laughing, laughing. Laughing. A whole generation would have left the cinema in tears and it would have been hilarious.
That would have been a much better movie.

“They laughed and then they built it”
I know this scene can come off as creepy, but honestly, i cant help but be amazed at the friggin' attention to detail on the Marionettes!
This is just as awesome as I was thought it would be. Just imagine the faces of families when this first aired.
I totally wish I could watch this on TV.

omg the puppet at 0:22 has a filling in his mouth!
Not the puppets crying laughing. Lol
Poor brains, he had to endure that hell
+Garrett Monie
I know, right. Having an idea that you present to others, and only to have them laugh their asses off at it in your face.
@@Raptormon132But eventually, they did build it.
I want this clip played on a loop on full blast during the wake at my funeral
Way ahead of their time!

And thus, a meme is born!
You're laughing! Brains wants to build an air ship and you're laughing!
I can just imagine them saying:
"I CAN'T STOP LAUGHING ... PLEASE KILL ME"
I HAVE WATCHED THIS FOR THE WHOLE MORNING AND IT NEVER GETS OLD
A demonstration of how good they are good at the expressions of the puppets. LOL
There's nothing more humiliating than being shamed by C-level puppets.
C level? Seriously dude? The details on those marionettes is amazing.

It’s not. It’s… (SPOILER ALERT!)
…a Tiger Moth biplane!
What the flying…?!
They weren't discussing the 6th thunderbird in this scene though...
@@WedgePee That was when I hadn't seen the movie. When I saw it, I was surprised!
The class when the funny kid gets the substitute teacher to cry.
Still waiting for that 10-hour version!
This is scary as fuck
I think that was the scariest moment of my childhood
Brains always kind of reminded me of norman bates for some reason...
One of those puppets look like Newt Gingrich
My thoughts exactly
Rofl, yeah that's true

ROTFLMAO well all those puppets looks GOP politicians laughing like idiots a day of 2016 when Trump won.
I remember watching the thunderbirds on HBO in 79 when I was a kid. I Miss stuff like this.
I REGRET ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!
I once took some very shitty acid & had the most terriyfing trip of my life, watching this is making me have a flashback! Ooooh the humanity!!!
I like how the puppets had dental fillings.
The gif of this has been haunting my nightmares for months, I've been trying to figure out what it was from for ages! D:
their tears arent joy

Okay, i'm a Thunderbirds fan, but this was outright creepy... >.>

No wonder those puppets are laughing like that and that was so creepy!

From that day forward puppet Elton John knew the cruelty of the world and vowed revenge...
ROTFL this is genius ! Fact is, the puppet with spectacles REALLY looks like... the Rocket Man.
"Okay, an anti-gravity drive, maybe I should have led with that!
That's actually just downright really funny.
This looks like the pictures from the phycho mantis scene from MGS
Psycho Mantis!?
You're that ninja
I remember watching this on DVD when I was 5 years old
I really don't see how this is scary
It hits kinda low on the uncanny valley.
Other Supermarionation shows had it worse.
Agreed 😏
The gray hair guy reminds me of my grandpa...not scary
Weirdly, it didnt bother me at all when I was younger.
It's only much later when other people pointed it out that I could see why.
How many childhoods were destroyed by that cursed moment?
best laughing scene ever.
This brings a tear to my eye
Shigeru Miyamoto liked this show
I can watch crime scene clean-ups and the lead up to them.
This? This freaks me out.
That was the longest 20 seconds of my life
This is from Thunderbird 6, it's Brains' nightmare. It's supposed to be terrifying.
MADE IT THROUGH YOUR DAMN PLAYLIST AIDAN.
Imagine watching this on TV
This show kind of freaked me out as a kid. I liked it ok but in a weird way it was spooky.
An airship!? Holy shit that's funny!
Then 49 years later tobacco commercials used the same technique by laughing puppets
I remember this from when I was 5.
Same!

JerryBear712 He designed freaking hypersonic atomic jets, an airship was obsolete even in the 60's
Remember Hyndenburg?
@@jesusramirezromo2037 Though OTOH, with the tech level of that universe it should have been possible to built an atomic airship. Yes it would be slower than a Super Concorde, but it would be able to carry a lot more stuff. A bit like a Helicarrier or the Iron Vulture, just more atomic.
Perhaps it could be shown on TV today as a commercial for whitening toothpaste.
I think this is the scary thing my dad ever seen
At 0:22, I began to laugh and didn't stop until the clip was over. D:
