When I read the book, Danila Kozlovsky was exactly the person I had in mind, while I had never ever seen him before... So sad there won't be a second movie. Maybe a show instead, like the mortal instruments?

same, in the tv series the rose and dimitri there fight... in the books and movie they barely fight and what they fight about is about duty. the movie is better than the show. they should have used these actors instead.
I melt with this couple, I love actors that pull you in and you are left wanting more. I pray the movie gods reconsider n someone brings in frostbite. I don't think enough people got to see advertising etc. I only just discovered this movie on Netflix n I want more I literally cried when it was over n I googled if there'd be another film.

And vampire academy started rolling out movies when we had hunger games still be popular enough to roll out movies and divergent just starting,then in 2015 and 2016 divergent was ending with the last 2 movies vampire academy could just be waiting until there’s no book adaptations with a ton of books that are popular enough to get all the books adapted so they don’t run into the same problem as they did with movie 1.its probably just not a smart idea to start movies when other book adaptions are still popular enough even divergent was stupid enough to start releasing movies in 2014&2015 when hunger games was still releasing its last two movies when divergent should have waited until hunger games was completely over with zero more movies to release then vampire academy should have waited until divergent was completely with zero more movies to release. Which it seems like vampire academy was smart to do by avoiding a 2015 release date for movie 2 of vampire academy’s second movie frostbite. They could still do frostbite if they just release it and develop it when other movie franchise based on books aren’t rolling out any more movies it would gain more fans and easier to sell a lot more tickets since it would be competing with all the non popular movies that aren’t even popular to begin with and IAm talking about the movies that are just there for people to watch when there’s nothing else to watch there are just some movie franchise that take longer to finish with all movies because they avoid releasing movies during popular movies based on books. Iam 100% sure they could still finished a lot of the movie franchises that flopped they did with divergent and divergent kind of flopped just as bad vampire academy for some fans yet they still let it continue with all books turned into movies. All the others that are unfinished could just be waiting until someone else needs a project idea I mean look at Harry Potter 1-3 vs Harry Potter 4-8 they aren’t created by the same people one person starts the franchise then someone else finishes it when someone else needs an idea, Twilight,Hunger Games,The Chronicles of narnia...etc... some movie franchises probably just take more than one same person creating all of the movies vampire academy is probably up there for more than one same person creating all the movies. It is possible to finish movie franchises that aren’t as good as other it just takes more than one person to make all the movies.

I can't wait for Frostbite, although they might have messed this dream scene up. Rose is learning to use the stake and when she has the theory, Dimitri let's her stake some dummies (this is after a fight with her mother) when she has staked a couple and done it right she asks to stake one that has the same hair as her mother and Dimitri replies with "I don't think that would be healthy."

Tamara Sojanovic there was an operation thing going on where you would donate them money but I'm not sure if they succeeded in the amount they needed. It could have have been like Veronica Mars were they got 10 million dollars from their fans for the Veronica Mars movie or they might have only got just enough or not enough. To be perfectly honest, I want there to be a Frostbite movie as well, just so I can see my fantasies come to life and the things I mentioned above about everything wrong with the movie aren't big plot changes they just annoyed me. So they shouldn't have any trouble making a second movie. However even if they have the funds to make Frostbite they might not have a production company willing to make it, so I guess we have to wait this one out. Although I don't want to see Mason die. I do want to see the actor they chose for Adrian.
I am so happy that this movie got put back on Netflix. I just wish they could have made a second one it would have been so good, also this ship was so underrated.

I get what you mean but roses whole world revolved around lissa. she protected her and put her first, but as the stories progressed rose learned that she doesn't always have to put lissa before her. lissa needs to do some things on her own and rose deserves her own happiness and choices.

Sometimes it takes movie franchises based on books to finish because they made to be made by the right person plus the world is unknown for reviving old ideas and then finishing the idea later on because it takes longer to think of a good storyline to try out. I agree I feel like they cast the right actors but wrote the characters wrong, Rose more than Dimitri and in doing so they also took away some of the depth their relationship has in the books through Zoey and Daniel's chemistry does manage to make of for some of that. Nothing make's up for the lack of sass and snarkiness in Rose nor the change in her motivation at some points of the story.
I wish they thought the movie out better. I loved all the characters but the movie was rushed. I got my best friend addicted to the series but she disliked the Dimitri they put in the movie but I thought it worked out
