@@englishislove ma'am how do write an introduction and conclusion to a poetry essay?

Usually the poetry essay questions will ask you to discuss the tone, diction and imagery in a particular poem.
Here would be an example introduction: The poem ‘Talk to the Peach Tree’ is written by Sipho Sepamla. In the following poetry essay, the diction, imagery and tone in relation to the underlying political commentary will be discussed.
Conclusion: In the above essay, the tone of absurdity in talking to the air and to the swallows; the imagery of the paralysing heat and the rubbish heap to illustrate how the government treated people; and the various examples of diction have been discussed in relation to the underlying political commentary of the poem.
This is just off the top of my head 🙂
