My favourite is the rucksack as I use public transport and walk a fair bit when fishing. Would be better with external bank stick holders so can use to rest rods when on hard standing. Bait bag also looks great , does it fit in rucksack?
I've had the backpack for donkeys years, it's a good bit of kit and the top zip has only recently failed but not beyond use (I'd say fair enough in terms of service life), no other holes or damage and I've given it a hard life. The one negative thing I will say about it is that it's surprisingly heavy, if you're looking for a stalking bag or you're doing a lot of miles then I'd probably look at other options because this thing will really sap your strength with a thermos and a few kilos of bait on board
Nice gear, and well presented. There is now so much choice of this kind of luggage, which is good for anglers, but tough for companies such as Gardner to stand out. Would love to have access to Gardner gear, but it is completely impossible to find shops that stock it here in Northern France. Lots of fishing shops around here, including those specialized in carp fishing, but they stock the usual Fox, Avid, Nash, etc. Hope that Gardner can get their distributed and on display in the shops in the future. (Not just online / mail order)
Just got the new rucksack as a direct replacement for the same Gardner one I've had for far longer than I dare admit to. Looked at all the others, Korda, Nash etc. but nothing comes close. Perfect piece of kit 😊.
I have the older version of the rucksack. With the tackle etc i put inside and carry on my back, theres no way i am sticking 5kg in the top section and carrying that too 😂
An aldi bag does the job at a fraction of the cost 👌
