Interesting how Matt beveled the roller on the conveyor to keep the belt centered. Thanks, Joe for taking us on the Timberwolf tour! I remember seeing Matt at your International Expo working with the Log Ox reps.
Great to see the Timberwolf business is still turning out good products. I am more interested in these type of machines than the Chinese built big box store splitters.
Thanks for taking everyone on a tour of the truly world-class operation they have at Timberwolf. We're proud to partner with them in designing and building the TimberOX Summit log splitters.
Thanks Brian. I think it must be looked at. There are Japa's still at or below that price that may come with a log lift but you may need a log deck too. At least with the Timberwolf you will def need a loader that can pick up logs and place on the livedeck
I have a Timberwolf TW2, have had it about 12 years, for a small machine it’s a beast, solid and reliable. I can only imagine what the Alpha’s can do, I’m hoping to upgrade someday!
Thanks for taking us along on this tour! My ears perked right up when you were talking about building cylinders. I've been doing that and repairing cylinders for 25 years. Have a great day! - Tim
Impressive tour. Congrats Matt on buying that “dying business” and making it viable again with quality materials and talented workers. Elaine from Canada here, Joe, I’m surprised that you’re on the road again, wow. Did you catch the travel bug? Heh heh. No one can say that you don’t have varied content on your OWB channel. Well done Joe, have a great week.
Joe, you’re in danger of becoming “Mr. Firewood, the firewood ambassador”! Interesting video, thanks for showing us the background of firewood machinery.
I am beyond impressed with this company. Definitely will be my choice when I upgrade my splitter. Just as a side note ...Matt looks like a young Norm Abram!!
Joe, more of this type if you can. This was a good tour and explanation of the company by Matt. Matt, keep up the good work, I know NY is difficult to do business in.
G'day Joe and Matt, making your own cylinders is a step up from most manufacturers I'd imagine. Joe you are definitely going to have to employ people at your wood yard now that you have this new found role as one of the worlds leading experts in International firewood processing and equipment. 😀👍.
haha... It seems the temps are too hot for me to make firewood now so these trips are a good distraction for me other than sitting on the couch! Thanks Ish. Stay cool buddy
Hey, Joe. I spent some time chatting with tim. Nice guy. When i get situated with getting a house built. I'm going to be looking at a new wood splitter myself. Thunking on sticking with timberwolf.
Joe, that was quite a Tour of the Facility that Matt owns. Great looking Machine, Tough, Durable, and outright Awesome. Your Video's are always great Joe and informative. Stay Safe, well Hydrated and see you at the Next Video my Friend. RON FROM THE WOODYARD IN DUANESBURG NY.
Joe, I think this was awesome to show Matt's operation. He is really running a tight operation and keeping his prices inline with the consumers expectations versus a corporate stock holder expectation for profits. If I were in the market for a machine, I would definitely consider TimberWolf. My only suggestion for Matt would be to offer the faster hydraulic action as an upgrade, I realize that increases overhead, but price it accordingly.
Thanks for watching and commenting Robert! I prob didn't do a good job showing the upgrades etc This vid was getting WAYY Long bc of the volume of content!
They made it to 2024 Eugene, Oregon annual logging show. I have a short video of the processor running at the show. That they brought out west. Boss man even made it way out west. . And i agree the pricing was very competitive with other companies.
@ohiowoodburner LOL, I did the run to the veterans firewood event in late April. Was 2,400 miles one way, definitely not a cross town Sunday drive. There probably near 3,000 one way. I did the drive vea state highways, was a very nice drive, tons of great site's to see along the way. I do it again, I'll take state 200 across Montana. Verses the Wyoming route I took the first time.
Hello Joe, Great Video, Mat definitely makes great equipment, we our running there disc cleaner with there powerpack, built like a tank. American Quality 🪵👍🏼🇺🇸
met the owner ... showed us the operation ... ran one of the machines ... well done. (I am curious ... are these owner owned ventures ... penny stock ... subsidiaries of bigger corporations
Does he do a vertical splitter??? If he's looking to help some channels He needs to hook up Simple Living Alaska Jay w Homestead Jay Todd's outside again Outdoor in the 608...
Timberwolf customer service is very poor. If you buy one of these and have a problem expect the run around and to be down for months. Paint is very poor it will be worn off after a couple rounds. I also called to give a suggestion on a jack for the tw2 because its all but impossible to hook to a side by side or 4 weeler. Matt with his very poor customer service skills Said they have been built like that for 30yrs and hung up on me. No auto cycle on their splitters is another reason. Timberwolf builds and sells equipment with 30yr old technology at about the same price as Wolferidge and Easton made witch is far superior.
I would not buy any machine with a Honda engine on it.. They need to provide option in this area.. Honda is ok for your home owners machines but I would want a real engine and Honda is not that great
hi there nice show .they look well built , but i think the box wedges are a phase , . i think i like my 50 year old machine more , best to all john
Interesting how Matt beveled the roller on the conveyor to keep the belt centered. Thanks, Joe for taking us on the Timberwolf tour! I remember seeing Matt at your International Expo working with the Log Ox reps.
That is how I met Matt thru LogOx. He is a very nice person.
Great to see the Timberwolf business is still turning out good products. I am more interested in these type of machines than the Chinese built big box store splitters.
Hi Joe - it's Big Rodders in Ireland. Another very interesting video. I've seen the odd Timberwolf chipper over here but not any of their splitters.
I was interested to hear they export t europe. Maybe you can get on Big Rodders? I can come over and film it!
Thanks for taking everyone on a tour of the truly world-class operation they have at Timberwolf. We're proud to partner with them in designing and building the TimberOX Summit log splitters.
A great partnership indeed!
OWB has the best firewood industry knowledge AND is the TOP restaurant firewood delivery and custom stacking provider.
Thanks for the endorsement sir!
Nice little shop.
Might be forced to move into a bigger shop and hire more welders after being on Ohio Woodburners channel.
haha... Or at least order up on their Dr Pepper for the fridge!
This is the first video I’ve had to watch 3 times. Really got me thinking about their processor and what else was out there for $40k. Great video
Thanks Brian. I think it must be looked at. There are Japa's still at or below that price that may come with a log lift but you may need a log deck too. At least with the Timberwolf you will def need a loader that can pick up logs and place on the livedeck

Thanks for sharing Mike. I saw one when I was there. Looks pretty stout.
Thanks for taking us along on this tour! My ears perked right up when you were talking about building cylinders. I've been doing that and repairing cylinders for 25 years. Have a great day! - Tim
Thanks Tim. I was very interested to learn that they make their own. Says a lot about them for sure!
Nice tour, Joe! 👍
Thanks Dave. This was really cool to see.
Impressive tour. Congrats Matt on buying that “dying business” and making it viable again with quality materials and talented workers. Thanks Elaine. We were also on a college tour in the area so it all worked out great.
Impressive operation and equipment! Wow, the prices..
I noticed as well their prices are much more aggressive than others
Joe, you’re in danger of becoming “Mr. Firewood, the firewood ambassador”! Interesting video, thanks for showing us the background of firewood machinery.
Thanks for that Harold! I am sure having fun no matter what it is called! lol
I am beyond impressed with this company. Definitely will be my choice when I upgrade my splitter.
Just as a side note ...Matt looks like a young Norm Abram!!
Timberwolf has it going on for sure buddy
Joe, more of this type if you can. This was a good tour and explanation of the company by Matt. Matt, keep up the good work, I know NY is difficult to do business in.
Thanks for watching
Great tour and demonstration video 👍 Thank you for taking us along 😊
Glad you enjoyed it Lyle. Thanks buddy
Thanks for the tour. Great facilities! Looks like a great company.
Thanks for watching Chris
Joe, you were a little over 2 hours from me in NY. Great Job Matt! Keep up the great work! Hope to stop in some day when I am going through the area.
Good to know Pat. Thanks for watching. Hope you are staying cool!
I enjoy my Honda engine on my splitter. And this is coming from a Mazda guy at heart.
Thanks for spending the time and taking us on a tour.😉👍
You should fab a rotary engine for your splitter dan. That would make for some cool vids!
Joe, great video. It was very informative. TY for sharing. Now it’s time to go home & make more firewood. Have a great day.👍 Dave D. from Maine.
soon as it gets about 20 degrees cooler! lol
Morning Joe, thanks for the tour it’s great to see an American small business doing well and shipping overseas also.
I agree Keith. Everyone there I met was super nice as well

Great to hear Larry and Robin. They take a lot of pride in what they do that was obvious!
Wow great job
Thanks Terry
Great video joe no new toys
Thanks bob. This was fun for sure buddy
Boy! That is one slow splitter!
I didn't think it was that bad.
met the owner ... showed us the operation ... ran one of the machines ... well done. (I am curious ... are these owner owned ventures ... penny stock ... subsidiaries of bigger corporations
Im not sure but I'm pretty sure it is privately held Ron
@@ohiowoodburner thanks Joe
Cool
Thanks
Great video
Thanks Tim!
Hey 👋 Joe
Hey there
Should have come to tupper lake
NY is a beautiful state. Loved it there. That drive on 86 is a lot of fun.
@@ohiowoodburner used to drive log truck that way not so fun in the winter
Joe, do you or any of the firewood splitting/processing manufacturers do shows south of the Mason Dixon?
I am not sure on this Stan. I think there is one in Virginia but not sure if it is every year. I think it was in or around Richmond last year.
@ohiowoodburner I'm in Richmond so I will google to see if there is anything. If my fortunes ever change I will definitely be coming to Cortland...
The wedge gives you oversized wood. You will need to respect that split wood.
I thought it was a little on the big size but still appropriate for value added firewood.
I would like a price on your conveyor and my nephew works for you timber Wolf
www.timberwolfequip.com/
Nothing about TimberOX?
No. We discussed it but didn't come up in the vid
Joe, this outfit is just over hill from me. Bert
I should have stopped by Bert! We stayed at the Hope Lake Lodge
Does he do a vertical splitter???
If he's looking to help some channels
He needs to hook up
Simple Living Alaska
Jay w Homestead Jay
Todd's outside again
Outdoor in the 608...
I don't know about a vertical splitter if it is in the works
VERY SLOW COMPARED TO EASTONMADE.

Interesting to hear wally. Seems everyone loves the honda but I do hear similar comments such as yours
