I really hope they fix the pathing/collision on the Harvesters. The fact they're more humanlike should mean they should be more flexible and can squeeze through spaces more easily than the gundam style weapons platforms.

IDK why, but I wasn't expecting the scale and atmosphere to be this impressive. If they can get all the physics/server sync running smoother, it will be amazing.
I do hope they add variation to the robot grunts at 1:21. It's already quite intimidating, with the way they run and the grim atmosphere, that you get the feeling of blaring alarms going off as they head for you but the immersion cuts off when they just stand in front of the player for 2 seconds without attacking. It would be good if they lunged at you or something, just so you also get the feeling that you need to keep your distance more.
Since the first sneak peek trailers it’s been pretty obvious that animation is lagging the furthest behind in the development cycle for this game. Honestly I’m not even upset about it, because that means they’re probably prioritizing the actual mechanics that the animations are supposed to be attached to. Dressing the game up is important, but you can’t make it look better than it plays, and the devs seem to understand this.

I left afterwards because they completely screwed up the first raffle and didn't offer extended time, extra keys, or even apologize for their screwup. If they can't get stuff straightened out then they're going to be a one and done dev team.
@@SkyBlackNinja Nah all the developers on this game are veterans. Nearly all of them have worked for big games before and decided to band together to make this game. Be happy there’s even a development team willing to make a game like this, because no triple A game studio is gonna make something like this that’s for sure

Their community managers have almost zero experience with being community managers, the fact that one of them lied to me about several things in discord dms and they two of their three raffles had issues says quite a lot. What really nails it home is that they released an age verification bot an hour before the first raffle, then took nearly 2 hours to fix it after it broke immediately. That along with them not releasing art, snippets of gameplay, etc to hype their closed beta really proves my point.
I make it a point not to get exited about games anymore. Not until I actually play them. I've made an exception for Forever Winter. I'm exited like fuck, boi (Although I was really hoping for some character creation and customization beyond the backpacks)
Animation overall for smaller units seems to be a bit bland atm. If I had to guess, that’ll be an end-of-development touch-up they’ll address once all major issues are dealt with and the game is running smoothly.

Big mech fights with explosives kinda lacks impact. I was hoping to see something similar to Helldivers2 where the shockwave of orbitals or nukes knocks you down or flings you across the map. Otherwise looks promising
Damn, this looks brutal as hell! Looking forward to playing it! This kinda reminds me of Warhammer 40k lore, specifically Age of Strife era Terra... maybe a century or two after the start of the Age of Strife. Still lots of advanced tech around but you can see the degradation of it and the cracks in the world getting bigger and bigger. Truly, it is the End Times.👍

The third-person perspective really sucks a lot of the atmosphere out of the game, but I'm still going to keep an eye on this game as it develops, as I still really enjoy this particular aesthetic. I'm just a little concerned it could devolve into another four-player third-person co-op extraction game, and that would be disappointing considering I feel like this could be something really special. Early days, so let's see where it goes
There is not a live stream (at least from me) Devs asked for folks who had access to the closed beta to not stream or create long form video for it. So far it seems like the testers have followed through with that - as have I. I do apologize but I do have more clips to share in the coming days.
Crazy how this is the only RUclips channel I've found with gameplay for FW. Almost like making 1 minute clips of a closed beta isn't really a good idea since theres really not enough context between the smashed clips to understand whats going on. Though that does make me wonder if you had to sign an NDA or not.
No NDA guarantee - I think the context that it is a closed beta makes sense to limit the amount but as far as I am aware the Devs did not outright ban people for posting more than short form stuff they just asked people who partook not to - which I respected.

It would be like forcing people who have never played strategy games before to watch random RUclips shorts of Iron Hearts 4. Unless you're into political stuff and strategy games, Iron Hearts 4 is just a jumbled mess. I'm honestly surprised nobody uploaded long form content let alone any content other than you. Really makes me question how many bots and alts got keys just to sell them online

Depends on the guns forsure - IF you full auto the recoil hits like a bus but you can tpa fire it pretty reliably
Really like the feel game creates, you're just an insect trying to get by its day while titans duke it out.
