My favorite Saint is Saint Joseph. I love how patient and strong he was. I loved how he is considered to be the foster father of Jesus. I really resonate with that in my personal life
Saint Joseph is wonderful. We give so much credit to Mary for her trustworthiness towards God, that we often unintentionally forget the sacrifice and steadfastness of Joseph. I'm glad you resonate with such a godly man!
@marymorris9982 If you're a Catholic then you're poorly catechised and have no idea what "intercession" means. No saint acts through their own power only the the power granted to them through God. Please stop replying to me I don't want to converse with you further.
I'm not Catholic. Aside from the evangelical youth group I was heavily involved with in high school, I've been a skeptic most of my life. A few years ago I started meditating to help manage mental illness, which led to exploring vague "spirituality" after an intense session in which I had extra-sensory experiences for the first time. It's been a slow burn the past three years or so and to make an insanely long story relatively short, I started praying to Jesus within the last few weeks after a few experiences made me question whether I've been interacting with "benevolent" or "malevolent" energy. I live in the Midwest and visited an outdoor church a few weeks ago at the recommendation of my boss, who is Catholic. When I was there I prayed and asked Jesus to use me, direct me, tell me what I need to/should do. I came back home that night and started reading about patron saints and how they're selected. On a whim I looked up whose feast day falls on my birthday (7/24). Found a woman called St. Christina Mirabilis (the Astonishing). Apparently she isn't officially canonized, but has been venerated locally around her hometown since her death. Clearly I'm not an expert, but everything I've read suggests the Church generally respects those considered saints by the laity. Anyway, what blows me away about the whole thing is that she is considered a patron saint of mental health workers. As a social worker with plans to be a therapist, it's really thrown me for a loop. Shared this with my boss and we're coordinating a time I can get together her priest to talk. Maybe I need an MRI, but it also feels too coincidental to be coincidence. So, I'm not ruling out the possibility that I'm nuts, but I'm also going to my first Sunday Mass today. If I'm not crazy, the Almighty has a great sense of humor.
Divine Coincidence can also be called Divine Inspiration. You can accept or reject it, but either way, you have connected the dots on your own, therefore those dots and connections have meaning to you. And what is a relationship with God but the meaning of existence?
St. Mark Ji TianXiang is one of my favorites. When we sin, we are tempted to give up or are too embarrassed to come back to God. Never give up on God because he never gives up on you! 🙏 🥲
St. Augustine was the first Saint I studied and I found his story to be fascinating and inspirational, along with his mother St. Monica. St. Ignatius & St. Maximilian Kolbe are also amazing.

Thanks for this, Amber! I can absolutely see you and Matt Fradd becoming the patron saints of online evangelization one day. Keep up the great work in this ministry!!
I just converted to the faith after being Protestant for 2 years so I am not too familiar with many Saints. I suppose I really enjoy St. Aquinas because I am very interested in Philosophy. I also feel God has called me to consecrate myself to St. Joseph. I am a massage therapist and I am not sure if it is official, but whenever I have looked up the Saint of massage therapy, it says Mary Magdalene. There are so many Saints to learn about! I have also been going through a long period of depression and struggle (it’s been three years now), it might be good to find a Saint for the current season I am in.
Congrats on your conversion, and coming to the fullness of the Christian faith! Welcome home! I strongly encourage devotion to St. Joseph, he’s my Confirmation saint. I really agree with Amber on that the saint really does choose you in the sense that you will constantly see things in your life or experience small things, in which the saints gets brought up someway somehow, consistently. In my case both St. Thérèse of Lisieux and St. Joseph have constantly appear in random conversations, in a picture that’ll pop up on my screen, just small things like that. So see if this happens. Praying for you! God bless you! ✝️🇻🇦🤍🙏🏼
I was very happy and very surprised honestly that you mentioned St Dymphna first, because I have struggled with mental illness all my life. I pray for her intercession often.
Mine is the Archangel Saint Gabriel. Literally saved my life in a dark time. Oh and when I officially chose him for my confirmation it just happened to be on his patron original feast day of March 18th
My patron Saint is St. Rose of Lima! I’ve always liked her since I was a kid. Recently I have also been wanting to learn more about St. Padre Pio, St. Giuseppe of Cupertino, and St. Therese Lisieux ! Thank you for your videos!
yep St Antony of padua chose me before i even know him well, then i got the chance to visit his birth place and we are best friends now, his impact in my life is Amazing, My Dearest best friend St Antony Thank you so much for all your sweet kindness ❤❤
I have St Joan of Arc, because she is the patron of my nation of heritage. As well as St. Lidwina because she had the first recorded case of what is believed to be MS, a disease that afflicts me. St. Michael the most glorious Archangel. Recently I have been building a devotion to St. Padre Pio though, for reasons >..>
Saint Maria Gorretti is my Birthday saint❤️ recently fallen in love with St Therese of Lisiuex and her family as they’re patrons of a community I belong to
My patron is Michael. I have consecrations to Mary and Joseph. I’m thinking of having Francis de Sales as my patron for my page because he’s a big deal in countering Protestant misconceptions.
My family is non denominational but I have been having urges to research Orthodoxy. Thanks for the tips! When doing prayers it confused me when they said “invoke your patron saint” so this helps :)
My patron Saint is Saint Brendan The Navigator. I'm Irish Catholic and this is my reasoning for picking Saint Brendan The Navigator one of the 12 Disciples of Ireland.
Santo Santiago Major, Bar-Zebedee, Son of Thunder, the Elder-Great, and first martyred Apostle alongside Archangel Rafael!! Boom! Patron saints are the inversion of Highlander; there can't be only one.
My Patrons Saints are St Joseph, St Pancratius, At Anthony of Padua, St Philomena, St Dymphna, st Nicolas of Tolentino, st Therese of a child JESUS 🙏❤️🙏 and i have collection of their Images! To my Patron and favorite Saints pray 🙏🙏🙏 for Us ❤️💜💚 Amen 🙏
A met a catholic woman along with a catholic prophet. I was invited to a house church and the prophet revealed to me what Jesus was saying and showing him. My sins were revealed and I could not believe how precise those words were. I was told by the prophet to have the Joseph, the father of Jesus as a patron saint for my intercession between me and Him. According to the prophet, it's what Jesus chose for me.
Does the patron Saint you choose have to be of the same gender? I’m a guy and St. Therese has been following me around ever since I came back to the church. Later on Padre Pio began following me around as well. I’m torn between the two. I will take your advice on the novenas. Just wasn’t sure if it’s frowned upon choosing a patron Saint of the opposite gender.
Interesting topic...something that coincidentally I have thought about lately. In the back of my mind, however, I don't want my guardian angel to think "Hey, what am I, chopped liver?!" But as I understand it, they are all on the same team and he wouldn't mind if I picked a favorite saint...
Sant Dominic! Sant Maximilian Kolbe! Saint Padre Pio! And sant Therese! And my special Marian apparition are, are our Lady of Guadalupe, our lady of Akita, and finally our lady of La Leche!
Just askin'. I am having a confirmation this July. I thought I had to pick a patron saint for myself, but when I asked the catechists they did not know about that. We are asked to find a Godparent instead. I read the Catechism as well but it says nothing about picking a Patron Saint. It's a bit disappointing, since I have been wanting to choose St. Therese as my Patron saint. I feel really close to her! Can you clarify this to me guys?
As far as the catechism goes, this is what I found: 2156 The sacrament of Baptism is conferred "in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." 85 In Baptism, the Lord's name sanctifies man, and the Christian receives his name in the Church. This can be the name of a saint, that is, of a disciple who has lived a life of exemplary fidelity to the Lord. The patron saint provides a model of charity; we are assured of his intercession. The "baptismal name" can also express a Christian mystery or Christian virtue. "Parents, sponsors, and the pastor are to see that a name is not given which is foreign to Christian sentiment." 86
Hi there, I was baptised and confirmed In April and you need a sponsor (who will be your godparent religiously) and you will also choose a saint as your confirmation saint! I chose Saint Augustine or I believe he chose me 😊
I was a Fallen Away Catholic for 16 years. I dont remember who my patron Saint is. For some reason I thought it was Saint Francis, but when I asked my mother, she said she thought it was Saint Patrick. I really liked both when I was kid, and I geneuinely dont remember who it was. How do I go about this?
Usually the Church states who your confirmation saint is on your confirmation certificate, just call the Church where you were confirmed and they should be able to tell you
Hey , thxs for the vid!! I have chosen a Patron Saint for this year (currently 2023) but i feel like i have neglected my devotion towards her (St Bernadette of Soubiron) but i cant find the worsksheet tohelp connect with Our current Patron Saint can anyone help me out(comment the link)
How are patron saints not just Greek gods? And why is it that patron saint didn’t show up in Christianity until the 300s if it wasn’t just a way to replace the guards former pagans? considering that even the Catholic Bible doesn’t ever specifically claim that it’s OK to pray to saints, there’s a claim that it’s OK to pray for the dead on their behalf, but not to them, but not to them for help. And sometimes it seems to meet you, but if you have the patron saint of foraging, the patron saint of travel, the patron saint of war, those all seem like a pagan gods
When I was little I didn't really know too many saints the only 2 I knew at the time were St Veronica & St John Neumann bcuz my mom & I always went back and forth between our two churches named after them this might sound weird but there were a lot of saints that I heard of but never knew as Saint only by their name alone so for my confirmation in 2012 I chose St. Veronica bcuz I wanted a female saint also bcuz she was present during Our Lords time then as I've grown older & have gotten to know so many wonderful Saints I have quite a couple saints who have placed in my circle 4 from my hometown Philly St Veronica, St. John Neumann, St. Hugh of Cluny, & St Katherine Drexel & recently St. Therese of Lisieux & a couple others🥰❤
& So when Religious Hippie mentions that sometimes the saints call us I am thinking that is what I feel happened with me & St Therese bcuz on M4L-23 I was talking to a Sister about how I was always drawn to the painting of St Therese the same one on the cover of her book & how at 1st I was hesitant to pick it but I grab it anyway & the Sister told me that maybe be she was calling me so the next day that Saturday when I woke up I saw a rose keychain on my side of the dining table & my mom tells me she saw it at church & brought it 🤯😂💖
To be honest, it's kinda off putting to have a full minute of loose advertisements before saying anything of substance. You then hop into another ad pretty swiftly; by 4 minutes in, half of the runtime is just trying to extract money from me - when I'm here for guidance in my personal spiritual journey. People coming here are likely to be new converts, by virtue of them not yet having a patron - so I ask you kindly to not shake people's newly found faith by putting material gain over (or on par) with the transcendent. The material is in service to the spiritual, and you're reflecting an inversion of that core principal here - and that's what occultists do.
@@leslovesliberty1776 No, I didn't mean ad roll - I meant shilling her own products. Which, in of itself, isn't necessarily a big problem - but doing so before actually lending anything of substance is a turn-off. If needs be, leave it to nearer the end of the video, coz I'm not encouraged to buy anything if value hasn't been demonstrated.
I appreciate your information about the saints but this sounds like a pagan religion. We don’t need anyone but Jesus scenes were wonderful and we definitely want to model our behavior around their’s but intercession to speak to Father God would be wrong. No where in the Bible does it tell us to do this you just can’t add to it.
the saints are prayers but also are examples to follow for us, i think we should read about their lives and try to imitate their work in our lives, for example in my case my favourite saints are Saint John of the Cross (patron of poets), Saint Therese of Jesus (patron of writers and artists) and Saint Rose of Lima (patron of the Americas, nurses and police) because i´m wanting to write i try to defend what i believe with the truth, i love to paint, etc and every time i feel down or there are doubts on my mind i think of what they did and i get inspiration. Sometimes people think be in grace of God is hard, the saints teach us that be in grace is in the little things, their lives teach us we can be in grace and live a saint life.
St. Michael the Arcangel saved my life through his intercession. I'll honor him and our Holy Father until the day I die.
????? Blasphemy..
This isnt even me being a hater. I’m catholic. Don’t throw language around this way. No one saves you but Jesus.

Can my patron saint be an Old Testament figure?
Yes
Sure, don't restrict yourself to canonized saints. The old testament is full of inspirational characters.
mY FAVorite Saint is Saint Francis Asisi Saint Augustine Saint Dymphna Saint Therese of Child Jesus but Patron main is Saint Pier Giorgio Frassati
I have thought very much about the Old Testament Saint David the King.
I didn't know that about Jude, now knowing about their children's cancer hospital hurts me so...

@@ataerus3066 But the Catechists don't know anything about choosing a patron saint.
Hi Daniel, just a small tip that as per our culture, we choose the patron saint as per our birthday. Eg: St.Anne for the one who born on 26th July.
Really like the Haters Will Be Prayed For notebook, you've given me an idea 😁
I've always adored Saint George, but I'm not sure if I can accept him as my patron. I always wanted him to be my saint though.
Idk 🤷🏻♀️ if you feel that way there's a reason, i wouldn't write it off
What is the patron saint for grief?
Not to be cheeky but my most important and necessary and “favorite” patron saint is my GUARDIAN ANGEL
Please what saint gives roses

The material is in service to the spiritual, and you're reflecting an inversion of that core principal here - and that's what occultists do.
I didn't see any ads during this video, I believe you have to be a RUclips premium subscriber to avoid ads on RUclips...
Opsss
Lol!
Jesus children paired saved
I appreciate your information about the saints but this sounds like a pagan religion. We don’t need anyone but Jesus scenes were wonderful and we definitely want to model our behavior around their’s but intercession to speak to Father God would be wrong. No where in the Bible does it tell us to do this you just can’t add to it.
lol
the saints are prayers but also are examples to follow for us, i think we should read about their lives and try to imitate their work in our lives, for example in my case my favourite saints are Saint John of the Cross (patron of poets), Saint Therese of Jesus (patron of writers and artists) and Saint Rose of Lima (patron of the Americas, nurses and police) because i´m wanting to write i try to defend what i believe with the truth, i love to paint, etc and every time i feel down or there are doubts on my mind i think of what they did and i get inspiration. Sometimes people think be in grace of God is hard, the saints teach us that be in grace is in the little things, their lives teach us we can be in grace and live a saint life.
Sometimes I think about leaving my Catholicism roots for Islam
