I am really liking these videos of place we plan to bike! I would love to know more about how your trike works and how you transport it and why it's your choice over a bicycle! Thanks for the videos, keep them going!

Matt ... You can get a little more information about our trip (and previous trips) at the following link: www.crazyguyonabike.com/doc/?doc_id=21265. We are riding Terratrike Traveller Trikes. They fold down. Icely so we can box and fly them or fold them and simply put them in the back of a rental car.

Irish laborers dug the Erie Canal entirely by hand. Their daily pay included a pint of whiskey. I am a senior and will be test riding a TRIOT trike in March. They are fantastic for recreational riding, but they haven't built a touring trike yet. Check them out. I lived in Kodiak for three years. In Alaska, I would like to ride a Catrike Quad with big tires where things are super rugged.

If you could keep only one of your (two?) Trikes, would it be the Adventure or the Full Fat?

Excellent question and one I’ve thought about a lot. I would need to try the Full Fat with some road type tires to see if it would replicate the Adventure and if so, might tend to lean that way. But I would need a second set of wheels and tires, some quick releases for the front tires and another Rohloff for the back which all translates into quite an expense. I have thought about simply finding the widest tires possible for the Adventure to see how close I could simulate the Full Fat too. Fortunately for now, I don’t have to make that choice. I do (teaser alert) have another project in the works which might answer that question a bit more for me. Love to tinker and love to find better and quicker solutions.

@@PedalPushinAK re/"..widest tires possible for the Adventure.."
That is where I am headed. Will pick up a set of 26" wheels for the front on Monday and plan to try 2.5" WTB Mutano Raptor MTB tires to supplement the 2.5" Schwalbe knobbie that is already on the back.
Snow is not a consideration here in southeastern PA and I can live without riding on sand. My primary objectives are better curb-climbing ability and not getting swallowed up by holes hidden under mown grass.
I am not all that hopeful geometry-wise, but it seems worth trying.
