@@lll2282 New ragas you say ? There are more than 300 ragas already in existence. Our artists must innovate and change their style with the times just like how the HU does their stuff by combining Mongolian folk instruments with rock guitar and new age elements.
so many beautiful Indian instruments like dotara, ektara, Rudra veena, Mayuri veena, dilruba etc., are dying out just because no players are left. There is no work done on improvising these instruments. I don't know if Indians do realise that we are so lucky to have so many different percussion, stringed, plucked, bowed stringed, blow instruments which is so rare for any country to have tradional instruments in all categories. I see Indians are moving towards western instruments like voilin, piano, guitar and honestly I don't have problem with it but the fact now these people use "western" instruments to play "Indian classical music" like voilin heavily being used in carnatic and hindustani music instead of Indian voilin like Mayuri veena, rawarl hasta, esraj, diliruba living these tradional instruments to die out hurts me.
Namaskar 🙏👍 Music 🎼 has no boundaries! However lyrics are equally important. And lyrics complement music. I vouch your opinion..... Indian classical music is the best......😇🌹
We have great musicians even today like Pt. Rakesh Chaurasia, pt. Rahul Sharma, Pt. Ronu majumdar, Mahesh Kale, Kaushiki Chakraborty. There are young budding talent too like Mithali Thakur. In terms of innovation, there's a channel called Armonian who makes songs out of mantras and stotrams with modern beats and instrumentals and they sound absolutely AMAZING. Although, we should push Indian Classical more but ppl unfortunately have made up their mind about western music cu it looks cooler to them
Absolutely sir I do play Flamenco, Gypsy Jazz and Blues on my guitar but nothing has more Musical Profoundness and Complexity and Beauty like Indian Classical Music.. Indian classical music is a science in itself , it played a great role in spiritual & mantras & shlokas & all the verses have a specific rhythm , it was truly for metaphysical purposes

Sir, there are many and many south indian carnatic music legends as well starting from Saint Tyagaraja, Shyamasastry, Dikshithar, to Bala Murali Krishna, Mandolin Srinivas, and many more. May be you know all this, but I wanted to mention this when you talked only about Hindustani classical
The very important thing that everyone should note is Indian classical music is not gonna die, also everyone for atleast 4 years should learn Indian music first. Coz that will lead to a great audience also to a great music practitioner too.
Hey guys check out the series of bandit bandish where there's a new instrument and extensive use of ragas beautifully, especially the songs of chakraborty sir is so soothing you just can't get enough of it.
Thank you for this! As a fan of Hindustani Classical Music, I got the 'WTF is he listening to' looks from my friends during my college days. It's nice to see more people into Shastriya Sangeet, especially people like Abhijit Ji, with his HUGE fan base. I disagree with Abhijit Ji on two points - one, being that HCM is dying out, and two, that innovation is absolutely necessary. I have, over the past few years, seen many more people taking interest in HCM; indeed, the popular web series 'Bandish Bandits', did a lot to popularize HCM, and I'm glad it was so well-received. Also, it's not entirely true that there's no young talent - just look up names like Anupama Bhagwat, Roopa Panesar, Sangeet Mishra, Sandeep Mishra, Ishan Ghosh, Rahul Sharma, Abhay Sopori, the young generation of the Mallick family, etc., and you will find extremely talented and well-trained gems. Thus, it's not entirely true that HCM is dying out, although a massive collective effort, especially by those identifying as 'Indic', is needed to popularize HCM. The second point of contention is basically this - innovation is not always useful; indeed, there are times when old things work better than the new ones. If anything, what we need now is conservation, not innovation - whatever modern era innovation was needed has already been done. As for instruments, no, it's better if we keep instruments non-electronic, owing to issues pertaining to performance and manufacturing, not to mention, the great skill used in making them by expert craftsmen, who are, please note, following an occupation which may well be called 'hereditary'. Lets support local economies, and not enrich giant parasitic corporations. Regarding the music itself, I'd encourage those who want to explore HCM to read the following sources: 1) 'The Ragas of Northern Indian Music' by Alain Danielou. 2) 'An introduction to a study of musical scales', also by Alain Danielou. 3) 'Hindustani Sangeet Padhhati' by Pandit Vishnu Narayan Bhatkhande. This is the BIBLE, and the ultimate authority on the subject of ragas. AFAIK, this is available only in Hindi and Marathi; if anyone knows of an English edition, please do share the link. 4) Shrikant Talageri's discussion on the subject, published in a two-part format on his blog. I disagree with the OIT, but the series is very well-researched and well-written. 5) Rajan Parrikar's site. Please note that this one is NOT for absolute beginners; visit this one only after you've got a basic idea of ragas, talas, and swaras. Hit like if you know the difference between Raga Marwa and Raga Sohini, or Raga Bhoopali and Raga Deshkar; and post a 🙂, if you're a fan of Dhrupad. Now, I'm off to listen to Vidushi Smt. Veena Sahasrabuddhe's masterful rendition of Raga Megh...😊
Iam a Telugu guy and I like both Carnatic and Hindustani but I've always felt Carnatic music is just the epitome of music that anyone can ever think of,wide variety of music as well
Indian Classical Music is diying....and greater threat to local and tribal music of India ....local and tribal languages are also diying...even I can only understand few local but can't speak 1 local language.......
Classical Indian music is actually flourishing like never before in history. Yes, that'd happening, more and more children are taking interest in classical music and dances. But, the tribal music is rapidly deteriorating. Many have died also, many on the verge of dying with only 1 or 2 singers left. Government should intervene and protect them, before we lose them.
I agree with Abhijit Sir, but the guy who asked the question(Lakshya Sharma) I just wanna say to him there are many kinds of people in the world, you always don't need to understand the lyrics,. Most of the time vibe, beats plays the role in the choice of your songs that you listen to, even I listen to many english songs (and some are hindi, punjabi, spanish, arabic songs too) and their are many english songs whose lyrics I don't understand, just need to match my vibe with the songs vibe. There are many kinds of people who look at the songs in a different way some want to understand the lyrics, some want to just enjoy the vibe and don't understand the lyrics at all, some want to educate themselves, some want to study them(in every aspect) and etc. you might be lying in a different category then others who want to understand the lyrics of the songs too, every person is different and every person has a different way to connect with music.
#AskAbhijit series of questions 1. What do you think next of TV will be? Like if we can say TV is the next of radio. 2. What do you think next of mobile will be? 3. What do you think next of automobile? Do you think after few decades the planet earth will have more vehicle or less? 4. Do you think India can ever be 1 global super power in our life time or in the next generation? 5. Which unexpected nation will rise and become a prominent along side India and China? 6. Do you think India should form a group like EU with Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Nepal, Bhutan etc. Basically the good old India before all the separation? What's the chances of this and how the new world order would be then?
I would suggest if you want to listen classical music then visit Rahul Deshpandes RUclips channel,he is the classical musician and grandson of great musician Vasantarav Deshpande.😊
Sir, I appreciate your depth of knowledge. simply amazing. Impressed with your knowledge of Raagas of Indian music. .Lot of people are innovating and putting fusion videos on youtube and also giving performances especially from south. Even Mandolin is modern innovation ... South Indian Srinivas whose surname is actually named after Mandolin, Please go through Mandolin srinivas's brilliant pay of Carnatic music on Mandalon. Even Indian music innovated and changed western Violin to suit to Indian classical music. People are changing Guitar to play Indian Raagas. Indian raagas are becoming popular across the world and west is also importing them. But our own people don't see these because, we run after west and other forms...

There are many new artists in ott platform you can search in youtube. They create original music.
Ravi shankar was the one that started the ruin of Hindu music by the seeking the validation of goras.
so many beautiful Indian instruments like dotara, ektara, Rudra veena, Mayuri veena, dilruba etc., are dying out just because no players are left.
My fav: Raag puriya dhanashree

SIr, you're a true inspiration, I'm pretty sure you haven't heard of the word called procrastination in your life. A great role model for all of us.
Namaskar 🙏👍
Music 🎼 has no boundaries! However lyrics are equally important. And lyrics complement music. I vouch your opinion..... Indian classical music is the best......😇🌹
Sir ek hi dil 💓 hai, kitni baar jeetoge..😄😄
We have great musicians even today like Pt. Rakesh Chaurasia, pt. Rahul Sharma, Pt. Ronu majumdar, Mahesh Kale, Kaushiki Chakraborty.
There are young budding talent too like Mithali Thakur.
In terms of innovation, there's a channel called Armonian who makes songs out of mantras and stotrams with modern beats and instrumentals and they sound absolutely AMAZING.
Although, we should push Indian Classical more but ppl unfortunately have made up their mind about western music cu it looks cooler to them
Sir ! You are a true Polymath…salute to you….you are incredible 🙏
Abhijit sir is incredibly expert in almost every sector
Absolutely sir I do play Flamenco, Gypsy Jazz and Blues on my guitar but nothing has more Musical Profoundness and Complexity and Beauty like Indian Classical Music.. I'm happy I've been practicing Indian Classical Music since I was 4 years old.. Breathtaking stuff.. And music, to me, goes hand in hand wih Spirituality..

Great bhai 👍👍👍
Is there anything this man can't do
He is a true Arya(the original sanskrit meaning)
Is there anything you can't do or know Mr Chavda? 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
Physics, history ( India and world) , world civilisation, cosmos, space, dynasties, music, geopolitics among many other spectrum of knowledge and you play the guitar as well..

I'm learning Flamenco on the guitar and it's absolutely phenomenal.
Arey Sir Aap tou bohot Talented nikle
When he said mongolian and other folk music i was like finally someone has some taste like me 😂😂 when people ask me what songs or music i listen to i say its complicated as none would know it 😂😂
same... even I listen to a lot of rajasthani folk music while most of my friends listen to justin bieber, the weeknd, bts etc..... I just feel awkward to explain them my taste in music...... happy to see people like me🤣
@@hehebwoi7189 honestly i cringe looking at bts guys i dont know maybe its just that they dont meet the indian standards of manly look maybe 😂
Me too guys strange but i cannot stand bts songs for long. It just doesn't get into my mood.
Absolutely correct,I genuinely love Pink Floyd though,They are an English band but they have got some impeccable talent with the music, their lyrics, instrumentals, vocals and musical experience is beyond words and stellar,Old music was a lot better than the modern crap ,also many of the really talented modern artists are always overshadowed by the cringe ones
*5:55* The song which he played as RAAG SHIVRANIJI is actually "Tere mere beech me" by Late Lata mangeshkar ji ❤️☺️
Carnatic music is alive and thriving. Come to Chennai for the December Music Season to experience India's cultural hub alive and well! For modern carnatic music fusion, check out Indian Raga on RUclips.
Yup the Hu are a fabulous metal band...
Wait a minute! You know how to play ragas on guitar?
Is there something left which you did not explore Guruji? What a life you created!
I am feeling jealous and inspired at the same time.
Ur Raag Basant reminded me of the musical series Bandish Bandits on Amazon prime. I fell in love with Indian classical music after watching it
Ravi Shankar's daughter is also a popular classical artist..
Indian Ocean makes some really great music based on Ragas. Krishna Das's rendition of Indian stotras, chants and chalisas are amazing too. ❤
I listen to him whole day!!
What a amazing human being he is:)
There are so many artists and bands all over the world spanning across boundaries that we even don't know who make such good music. Really they deserve recognition.
There is also a Mumbai based band called Life who also made some great songs. They were winners of a band show in Channel V.
@@sammyrocks3633 cause nowadays people make a song hit not only for lyrics but from music videos they get views
Certain part of pop culture

Hmmm Musical side of Abhjit Saheb . Beautiful
Ooooof that really sounded great.
You play really great
And thank you I got an idea that when I will learn music i.e, in few months from now
I will try my best to play these ragas in modern instruments...
Really great.🔥🔥
Indian music is the oldest and advanced.... Indian musical instruments are just from heaven...
Wonderful demostration! Vasanta raag is called Vasantha in Carnatic, it denotes bravery.
Hello sir , I am so much happy that u came up with this topic , sir myself I am a indian classical flute player
And yes my favourite raag is raag Miya kii malhar 😀❤️
As a British Indian, born in London. I really hope the youth of India stop admiring the west / looking up to it's culture. Post abrahamic faiths have tried to eradicate Bharat's identity, culture and roots. It is so beautiful, with so much ancient wisdom & arts! I hope there is a RENAISSANCE here! From Arts, Culture, Music, Health (Ayurveda), Yoga. West ain't got shit on it.
Sir you are phenomenal from history to science to geopolitics to music.....i would like to keep the Indian musical culture alive and at personal level I will do that by learning to play tabla
Please follow the music from Pt. Bickram Ghosh. He is a maestro in Indian classical and also innovative.
I am a fan of Batzorig. He is just exceptional. Been listening to him for a few years.
Thank you for such brilliant Recommendations Guruji..
Love them...🤘💥🔥🔥
I am a carnatic musician .
Not withstanding the carnatic music going on all days in my house.,
My grown up son and daughter, though they are gifted by themselves ...and are pretty good perfomers think that its too old fashioned ...btw Abhijit you havent spoken or mentioned about carnatic music which is more complex and nuanced with a 22 sruthi compared to 12 of hindustani music.
I would suggest you to explore carnatic music which is alive and vibrant even today.
I would encourage you to partake the cultural richness of carnatic music
Really nice to see Abhijit sir demonstrating his guitar skills for the first time 😄
True Saraswati Vidhyarthi, Ocean Of Knowledge and A True Manifestation Of JagadGuru in KaliYuga. 🙏
Sir u are great
Indian classical music is a science in itself , it played a great role in spiritual & mantras & shlokas & all the verses have a specific rhythm , it was truly for metaphysical purposes
There are so many artists and bands all over the world spanning across boundaries that we even don't know who make such good music. Really they deserve recognition.
You are amazing!
Multi-faceted personality
Wow...Abhijeet Daa...You are so gyani....Thank you 👌💐😊😊

Sir, really appreciate your taste in music and I am a regular at your channel.. but I would like to introduce you to a few living legends of Indian classical music who you shall find unbelievably divine. Ustad Rashid Khan daab, Hariharan A sir, Ajay Chakraborty, Kaushiki Chakraborty, .. the list would be too long..hope our young generation listened to them more
Sir, there are many and many south indian carnatic music legends as well starting from Saint Tyagaraja, Shyamasastry, Dikshithar, to Bala Murali Krishna, Mandolin Srinivas, and many more. May be you know all this, but I wanted to mention this when you talked only about Hindustani classical
Wow you play guitar very well. Good to know that you have such a deep interest in music 🎶
Regarding the music itself, I'd encourage those who want to explore HCM to read the following sources:
1) 'The Ragas of Northern Indian Music' by Alain Danielou.
Beautifully played....
Nicely played sir!
Sur Niragas ho
Wow sir. You can play music as well . I like all our Rags and do little trying with harmonium or li piano. Thank you sir ❤️🙏

Hindustani Also have variety anyway both are 95% same

All hail to The great Abhijit Chavda sir🙌
Indian Classical Music is diying....and greater threat to local and tribal music of India ....local and tribal languages are also diying...even I can only understand few local but can't speak 1 local language.......
Classical Indian music is actually flourishing like never before in history. Yes, that'd happening, more and more children are taking interest in classical music and dances. But, the tribal music is rapidly deteriorating. Many have died also, many on the verge of dying with only 1 or 2 singers left. Government should intervene and protect them, before we lose them.
Everything hindu thing is dying even hindu is dying
This guy knows everything !!दंडवत नमस्कार 🙏
Thankyou Abhijeet for encouraging people to explore hindustani classical !! ❤️ You have done your job as a content creator/influencer EXACTLY RIGHT !
4:50 man abhijit sir is polymath or what man......... He know's everything 😂
You are truly an inspiration sir
Love my Bhartiya Music..(😊Which is basically Sanatani)..
I love K.K...From the time I didn't know who he was. 90s people can relate
Woah that was surprising - the guitar👏👏👌
I have learned Classical Vocal Music and can vouch of its versatility.
Sir you might wanna know about Shri Niladri Kumar ji who invented Zitar and contributing greatly towards Hindustani Classical Music
#AskAbhijit series of questions
Please try to cover this.
I would suggest if you want to listen classical music then visit Rahul Deshpandes RUclips channel,he is the classical musician and grandson of great musician Vasantarav Deshpande.😊
even south indian classical too.. by Thyagaraja
Fun fact: your 20yr old guitar sound 10000x better than my guitar 😂🤣
But our own people don't see these because, we run after west and other forms...
so many beautiful Indian instruments like dotara, ektara, Rudra veena, Mayuri veena, dilruba etc., are dying out just because no players are left. There is no work done on improvising these instruments.
