Methodology
1) I gathered data from myanimelist to find all the Anime. The .csv files containing search interest values were downloaded from Google Trends for every anime.
2) Ammount Search Tool determined the average monthly search volume for every anime.
3) The number of searches per month for each calendar year were proportioned based on official reports from Google.
4) Data modeling through an algorithm invented by me to obtain the most realistic data possible.
5) Search interest values and proportioned monthly search volumes were placed in Excel for calculations.
6) The data was placed into Flourish Studio to create the data visualization piece.
7) Image and audio assets were added with Wondershare Filmora.

HUNTER X HUNTER: The mangaka of hxh, togashi, announced the continuation of the manga after a 3-year hiatus.
ONE PUNCH MAN: Simply the manga has become something incredible, some events have shocked the public.
LOVE IS WAR: The finale of the latest season of the anime made this series one of the most loved of this period.

anyone realize that when spy family was going on, every 7 days it spiked really hard? I think that basically suggests that people were so hooked on the anime show that everybody watched it as soon as the new episode dropped each week. It's one of the most direct visualizations of anime consumption behavior I've ever seen.
It's not rocket science mate, when new episode release, people watch episode.

@@chillichan It was competing against One Piece tho. The number of searches will always be higher on on One Piece. Imagine the number of people catching up on the episodes. It has over a thousand so of course it will smash the competition on searches and views. And people were waiting for a weekly episode on spy x family while the amount of episodes on one piece is absurdly high and many people are watching from the beginning so more searches and views on OP not just weekly but daily.

I love how One Punch Man skyrocketed at the end of June to the beginning of July. It was the peak #1 manga at the time because of all the hype between Saitama and Garou's clash. Not to mention, the artwork was GOD TIER no lie. Truly a masterpiece 💯

AOT being the modern classic it is, exceptional art and animation of demon slayer, hxh coming back, and ofc every single f*ing chapter in one piece after 1043 has been an absolute banger, got into it abt a month ago and binge read to catch up, do not regret doing that. If anyone reads this, thinking OP is just too log to get into, trust me, it is one of the best pieces of fiction i have read/watched. Sure, it looks goofy and cartoony, but that works in the series favor (especially after 1044).

I presume manga plays a part in the popularity, otherwise it would be harder to understand why One Piece skyrocketed so much during the whole of March, and July the 21st.
I also find it hilarious how both One Piece and Spy X Family wear fighting over popularity within the weeks that went by in April, May, and June.
One piece blow up when they release episode 1015 and the quality of the animation is cool ngl and the storyline is amazing thats why it got skyrocketed BTW im not a one piece fan but when I started watching it, It got my interest.

Summer Time Render really is underrated despite being one of the absolute best this year, it only appears for one second at 4:07(June 03) for one second in eleventh place. at least it appeared once, hopefully it appears much more in the future.

I’m just watching it now. At episode 3. This is the first anime where I legit can’t watch more than 1-2 episodes a week cause I like the suspense and know it’s not finished yet so there’s no need to rush. Feels good to not feel like I need to catch up right away lol

@@Explicit_666 I mean, all the King moments are peak comedy, the Saitama & FF & Manako moments are pretty funny too, talking about old chapters yet to be adapted there is the whole battle of Garou vs Orochi and Saitama vs Orochi, Nyan vs Drive Knight and Class A & B, Flashy Flash vs two dragons level, CE vs Phoenix Man etc ... there is so much incredible stuff, honestly in this arc there was not anything I didn't like except Sage Centipede because it is repetitive and slightly the initial chapters within the HA (which, however, these latter were necessary for the plot)

I read the manga of SpyxFamily since 2020 and it was a very nice feeling to see how this work that I discovered during the pandemic also reached the eyes of many other people.
