@@Lamenter69 Cuz I don't want tinnitus? As well as: Autism = I have sensory issues. And it isn't bullshit that I did hear Alex with earplugs in, I saw them in Calgary at a small venue. And being that it was a small enclosed venue, the acoustics made the sound even louder than it would be outside. If you think I'm still bullshitting, fine, who the fuck cares what a random dude on the internet is saying. For all I know, you could just be a troller wanting to get attention and validation. In the end, I'm telling MY story and experience, not yours or others.

First time I heard Alex Terrible was when he did a cover of Barbie girl, and after that I started listening to more metalcore again and realized that there is new good shit out there. Got the mask two years ago, now I’m hoping to see them live. Great reaction!
Take it from a guy that grew up in the death metal scene. Most of us are burly men with wild beards, but we are mostly sweathearts. Metal is just our way to let out anger and agression in a healthy enviorment.
the snare thing hes doing is called a gravity blast. bouncing the stick off the rim to get two hits instead of one. also yes theyre russian but they live in america now.
In interviews, Ronnie always says that Alex is such a nice guy in person lol. And his social media posts regarding fans and shows is always super appreciative.

Not sure if anyone pointed it out, but the footage for this video comes from a collection previous live shows. I say that to say, during the opening you can see Alex saying the words to the intro. Without a mic in his hand. He just belts out stuff at shows, no mic, and people can actually hear him. He has a stupid powerful voice.

Little correction, but I don´t want to be mean. Maybe it will be somewhat edjucational 🙂. Great reaction otherwise of course. Always fun to see guys exploring music that they seem to like.
The drummer is not playing flams. A flam is hitting a drum (usually the snare, but potentially toms, cymbals or two different surfaces) with both sticks, but not exactly at the same time, but one hit slightly earlier than the other. Dave Grohl is well known for using them a lot on the snare, while playing both hits as rimshots (hitting the rim and the head at the same time with one stick). The effect is, that it gives a louder, more dominant sound in the mix or live. But it can also be a more musical sound if played quiet, for example on the ride cymbal. Mario Duplantier likes to do them in more relaxed parts of Gojira songs. Of course the mentioned drummers are just examples, they are not the only ones to do it and didn´t invent that kind of playing. A flam is actually one of the rudiments a drummer should be able to play.
What Evgeny is playing here in the song is a gravity blast, a version of a blast beat. It was used though way before metal was as crazy as it is today by jazz drummers such as Buddy Rich. Probably in some other kind of music even before that, which I might not be aware of. You use the rim of the snare as a pivot point instead of your fingers and with a loooooot of practicing, you can reach really high speeds with a single hand. But the sound is not very loud, since the tip of the stick doesn´t travel very high. El Estepario Siberiano likes to use these in his covers. There is one where he plays them with both hands on different drums. Maybe somebody remembers the specific cover. I think he had a second snare in the ususal position of the floor tom.

The entire band is from Russia. However they are all immigrating to the United States. Alex has already moved to Florida.
