My dear Masha! What a gorgeous deck! You are holding history in your hands, How amazing is that?! I personally would use the dancing man playing the tambourine as my fool since it has the little dog sort of trying to communicate with him, and that is very resembling of the fool card to me Such a great video, I really enjoyed watching it! Many blessings and love to you dear Masha! 🥰🌼
I’m so glad to hear you enjoyed seeing these exquisite cards! 🥰❤️ I feel camera never does enough justice to such wonderful delicate handmade cards. Yes, quite a few people I know use the card with the cute dog as the Fool. Thank you so much for stopping by, dear Luna! 🙏💛
Dearest Mascha, a wonderful provoking presentation from yourself and top class at that! (but I wouldn't expect anything less 😉) For those who know of me already, including your kind self - the Giuseppe Maria Mitelli is one of my all time favourites! Although a Mitelli fan - it isn't just his Tarocchi - I love all his work. Mitelli was commissioned by the "House of Bentivoglio" and Marco did a great job in creating the Coat of Arms using original features of the shield as illustrated on the Ace of Coins and from the 6 Swords. I love the fact that Marco created the extra's (cards 2-5) to make it a complete 78 deck. Can it be used as a Tarot deck? Not in terms as we have come to learn with the RWS , But as in a say what you see and using numerology - then maybe yes . . I do look forward to when I eventually get back to being present back on YT - as I will create a mini series for the Mitelli as you did for the Mantega. Only based on my believes/research. I say this purely on the discussion about the "The Fool" and the "Magician" - although in this deck - I do refer to that card as the street entertainer. Let's face - that is want the magician is . . . an entertainer. I know that there's a dog in the card & so therefore Marco considers the card to be the FOOL and he backs this up based on the order presented on the sheets order held within "Mitelli GAMES" The fool is clearly the one - with the Whirligig (Pinwheel) and the Pigs Bladder (Balloon) attached to the staff. One of the most researched topics regarding "The Staff of Madness" all depict a person with a staff and attached various items as illustrated in the card. "It represents madness as an invisible entity that must be made visible" - this was part of historical culture and medical practice. Mitelli also created illustrations on Proverbs - on the illustration from the Proverbi Figurati (An Emblem Book) - where's there is a character in possession of a staff with attachments which translates as "He who believes he's wiser than other, is actually crazier than everyone". The sequence of the other Trionfi - don't follow suite either (compared to TdM) I have my own beliefs about that also. (LOL) but you knew I would get on my pedestal about those two cards. HOWEVER: Albeit - this is truly a magnificent and faithful reproduction by Marco Benedetti and hats off to him for fulfilling the MITELLI fans by doing the extras. The vibrancy of the deck is exquisite. the "Bordi Rivoltinati" (folded/turned edges) is the icing on the cake . . . Marco has created in my honest opinion the best of the best and he has humoured me with the best MITELLI collection one possibly could have on top of my other Mitelli's. (Q: - Have you got Giordano Berti's Mitelli?) Have you thought about doing a comparison between this Italian and the other most favourite Italian (Visconti) - would be interesting, . . . Thank you - 👻💋 Ps.. Did the Visconti (the originals you held in Italy) have "Bordi Rivoltinati?
My dearest Richard_Boo! Thank you so much for such a thoughtful and kind response to this video of mine! 🤗🙏🩵 I do know how much the Mitelli Tarocchino & Marco’s extension to Tarocchi mean to you, my friend! And I’m in awe of these cards now too! 💛 I can’t wait for your Mitelli series, Boo! 🪄 🎈 No, I don’t have Giordano’s Mitelli cards, but I have his insightful booklet though, which I learnt a good deal from. 🤓💛 Have I thought of putting this Mitelli side by side with Visconti decks in a video? ‘Not yet’ is my answer.. although the Visconti feature may be coming very soon! As for the rivoltini of the Visconti Brambilla kept in Pinacoteca di Brera, I’ll send you a pm with a pic. Thank you for being here, my friend! 🙏💛
Very unique deck and wonderful art. Looks like beautiful cardstock. Intriguing Tower and Hermit. Love the Queen of Cups. Not sure I get the World which looks more like burden than completion and release. I don't personally care for the yellow borders, though, but maybe if I saw them in person I would and I do appreciate that he made the effort to recreat this process. Thanks for sharing this unique deck, Mascha!💙
Yes, this handmade tarot is a true treasure, Nancy!✨🤩✨ I can’t bring myself referring to the textured laid/art paper in Marco’s decks as the stock (cardstock), as it’s just above and beyond😍. I wish the video could do justice to the folded over borders, as they add not just the charm and authenticity to the cards, but also insure the best shuffling experience. Thank you, as always, for being here! 🤗🙏💛
@@musingsbymascha I think I just don't like yellow or the look of borders and I really can't shuffle (feeble overhand only) but rest assured I do appreciate the quality of this beautiful deck!
@@papermoontarot4219 oh, yellow is not your favourite colour, my friend? I’ve learnt something new about you today (no yellow hearts 💛💛 for you from now on 🤭🤣)! 🩵🤗🩵
Awesome.
😇
i adore this deck, i consider myself really lucky to own one ❤
I do too! 🤩💛 It’s such an exquisite tarot from Marco! But then his newest Personal Modrone is sublime also! 😍❤️
