Well, I just did it! My first teddybear! It is not as easy as it looks in the video but 100% satisfying. My bear turned a bit like a voodoo bear, but is very cute in its ugliness. I also realised that I attached the head to the butt, but a "scarf" hid all the weird stiching. Next time will be better. Thanks for the inspiration!
My grandmother passed away recently and I kept her flannel shirt she wore almost daily. I was going to make a memory bear out of it for myself. But I have three sisters and I think these small bears are perfect so we each get one and we they can keep it on their vanity or in their cars or something. ❤️ Thank you for your calming videos and wonderful ideas.
So gorgeous! I love that you made articulating arms and legs. And using thread scraps for filling-so thoughtful and resourceful. Best wishes to Vietnamese teachers from the U.S.!
I love the way you stored the pattern pieces in the envelope bag from a previous video! I don't know why, but it is very satisfying to see older projects actually being used in newer videos.
Your hand sewing skills are amazing! I am a senior citizen and have been sewing on a machine for decades but you have inspired me to try to better myself at hand sewing. I LOVE your channel! ❤️
I have been watching your lessons for quite while and love them. I have many grandchildren but they live very far away and we don't get to see them. We were lonely especially during the holidays, so we "adopted" a family that didn't have grandparents near by. I decided that the four older children needed sewing skills. They are 8 years up to 14. Two girls two boys. We started sewing your draw string bags. Each child has done a decorative straight stitch design on the front of their bags in colorful threads. Then they sewed the sides and the box bottom. I must say they are so patient with their sewing and when they come to visit they bring their projects to continue. The youngest Gwen has the most beautiful stitches. They are even and straight. She is such an artist I am amazed. The next to the youngest has a great eye for color. And the two older boys sew very fast and want to get the projects done and want to start another. They love your videos and wanted to sew the doll. When they come for Thanksgiving I can't wait to show them the bear, becsuse they mentioned that they wanted something small enough to put in an Altoids box. Thank you for the inspiration. The children have been so happy to do your projects. Many thanks to you.
Thanks for your videos. Enjoy watching them when i am off from work or on the bed. Soothing and relaxing as they are that you show slowly the process step by step, not the quick tips to complete a project.
I love your videos. They make me so happy, peaceful and calm. I wish I had your talent. You make it looks so effortless. Beautiful creations, music and kitty. Thank you!
I have made about thirty of these little bears using felt of different colours. They delight everyone who sees them. It is a kind of magic you start with a little rectangle of felt and a few hours later you have created a little bundle of joy. Thank you :)
Thank you so much for these lovely videos. I often watch them in the evening when I’m knitting and find them to be so relaxing and soothing during this chaotic time in our world. You have been blessed with a gift, thank you for using it to make the world a better place.
I had been stuck in a very consumeristic looo these days, but watching your videos reconnected me to my past of minimalism and living a less consuming lifestyle. Thank you

I love it, Din! So beautiful! I didn't know what you saved those threads for until now. I'm amazed how well they worked as stuffing for this delicate doll! This week I decided to organize my towel closet. I have many rags, washcloths, and hand or kitchen towels that are all odd sizes, cut down from bath towels of the past. I'm going to cut them all into nice regular sizes that I can fold in neat stacks, and sew around the edges of each one to stop it fraying. I look forward to having a lovely shelf where all the towels look like they belong, and work well together instead of being a jumble.
I wanted to cry when I saw this video. My mother made handmade teddy bears for all grandchildren. Sadly... her pattern was thrown away after her death. Your video solidified the importance of keeping the ways of the past. I love you.
Your videos are always calming and somehow meditative to me. The choose of the music, no voices, handstitching, all sustainable materials .. i just love it. Thank you.
Thank you for your video. 🧸 I remember using this technique when I sewed Edith F. Ackley dolls ages ago. For my kitty loving friend, I'm going to exchange pointy ears and repeat the back legs for the arms. Lucky me that her grey kitty lacks a tail..lol. Just in time for Christmas 🎄
I also love the way you save all your scrap cotton and use it for stuffing, I machine sew a lot and have discarded so much cotton over the years. Thankyou
Love your videos :) so relaxing. As a child I did a lot of hand sewing of doll clothes and do miss it. Once when older I made an entire outfit, pants and jacket, sewing by hand :) when I didn’t have a sewing machine. Getting inspired here to do some hand sewing again.
Thank you so much for your video and pattern. I am currently making bears out of my nans clothing to gift them at her wake. Especially for the great grandchildren xxx thank you!! ❤
You make beautiful things. Your hand stitching is so neat. I love that you used scrap threads for stuffing. And the cat liked the teddy too. He/she is just like 2 cats I've had in the past 😻 😃 Thank you for the pattern.
Wow! An exceptional learning and inspiring tutorial. I have avoided making tiny projects as tend to loose pieces whilst travelling on journeys to and from home. However, to stitch the different sections by hand as one piece on chosen fabric is very practical, achievable and comforting. I found your assembling of parts for sewing the arms and legs to be moveable an interesting method. I had assumed you needed joint sections. Fully appreciate your gift of the free pattern. Thank you for sharing your knowledge, expertise and techniques. Peace and kindness with prayers. 👌🌷
Thank you for the pattern! I will def be making a few of these little bears this summer. Would make cute gifts for my son and his cousins this Christmas.
After a 2 month period of depression, not having the energy to do anything I told myself today to take the first step of making something. So I cut out the pattern thinking at least thats one thing i've done today but ended up making the whole teddy out of some tweed and it turned out great. Thank you for helping the clouds lift 🙂 think i'll make another one tomorrow x
No te imaginas... como me transportaste hace 40 años atrás.. cuando yo hacía mis muñecas de trapo...🥺🥺🥺 Infinitas gracias...✨✨✨Cariñosss a millones desde Chile 🇨🇱
This is really beautiful. As a beginner to hand sewing I have now made several of your simple baskets and 2 letter bags...but I don't think I can tackle this quite yet 😊
🐻 this is such a cute little teddy, your kitty seems to love it too 🐈 Thankyou for sharing your pattern with us, it would be lovely to make for friends and family as little gifts, could wear as a brooch or hang on your handbag ect.......... I honour you as a teacher, many thanks😊💖 I've just watched your other teddy from a mask video, and like you said this one is easier to follow, more successful 😊
I absolutely love it, you are so skilled, so artistic, its so lovely listening to the calming music and watching all the lovely calmly things in your videos xx
Wonderful as always. It feels so home like that I want to do one for me and everyone else. Don't know why but the sweet bear feels nostalgic and so darling at the same time. Wonderful video, you are a sweet soul.
I love watching this little teddy emerge, just think if your friend hadn't passed on her scrap fabric we may never have met him 😊 I really do need to make one........or two......or lots 😂 Thankyou again for sharing your inspirational videos 😊 💖
Thank you for sharing your beauty with this world. I will do my best to sew this little guy and if I can make a few and give them to children or adults, to bring a little joy into their day and life ❤️
He's beautiful! I used to sew a lot of bears & sell them. Watching you made it look a lot easier than my process! I might just make another one now! Your cat is beautiful too x
This makes so much sense. I have been wanting to use my child's clothes to make a teddy bear. This is a bit small but I can always make the pattern bigger
Thank you SO much for sharing your talent. Just watching you, is a gift!! I shared with another lovely hand stitcher, our daughter and her 3 children. I would LIKE to be able to make this sweet little bear....GLAD you can!!
I was wondering few days ago that you deleted the teddy bear make up of mask video but now I know why it was ! Surely gonna try this! Thank you so much ❤️
So cute and simple. Thank you for the tutorial with pattern. I just made a dapper little bear, but the project got away from me, so it wound up taking 24 hours. Gonna use a machine next time I make a small bear 😅 but to sow the patterns on to the fabric at once did quicken the time a bit.
Que lindo el compañero de costuras gracias por despertar el interés de volver a cocer a mano estos muñequitos .tan tiernos. Saludos desde Chile al Sur.
I must try and remember that idea about sewing the shapes together before cutting out. Such a good idea for small shapes!
True, how many fabric I’ve wasted by not doing that before :_} oh well
I was about to write the same thing. I started making that teddybear and it was so hard to match those small pieces together. Great idea.

I thought the same. makes more sense. not as fiddly and keeps seams more uniform too.
Most doll makers use this method, if the parts are small or very thin. Brilliant little teddy bear, love it
