    The captain killing the tribute fleet saying it isn't part of the war is an idiot. Civies transporting war assets are targets. Irregardless of defensive capabilities. Ignorance is not a free pass. Attacking the logistics chains is required to win ANYTHING. food transport that could be used for war... Same rule...

    • @bad1cj
      @bad1cj 24 дня назад

      The second captain is also... Odd. They definitely were not raised as a soldier. His so worried about the other folks lives in battle. The lack of bloodlust/pride/The want to prove ones capabilities.

    Being former military, it bugs me to no end the mistakes to rank. A major would never be on the bridge and an admiral wouldn't be in charge of a ship. There are no majors in the navy and captains are in charge of ships , it's in it's name as captain even.

      This is not our navy. Nor do we even have a space fleet. We may have several space forces on this planet, but none are truly wielding space fleets. Dont get hung up on things that dont apply.

      When WW2 kicked off the US Army was in charge of air forces. The US Air Force wasn't created until later. Things change. Perhaps this is a re-telling of how military forces are combined in such a way that a Major would be on a space ship's bridge. An Admiral being in charge of the ship could also be attributed to how the Army used to have Generals would go into the field and give orders to specific units. Patton was notorious for wanting to lead his men in such a way that he'd kick them in the ass to get them moving rather than complain to their superior officer to do their job. It's strange to see in a professional military we have today that has such a huge stick up its ass that it can't walk five feet without filling out forms but this is a work of fiction after all ;)

      A major commanding the marine contingent on a navy ship? An Admiral commanding their flagship? What were you, air farce? Granted, the admiral turning over command of the ship to the major is questionable...

    Not too bad. You need to use real military personnel characteristics for your commanders. Chesty Puller, Dan Daly. Schwarzkopf etc. You can respect your enemy but not feel sorrow when the die as they decide to support a regime that is a supporter of wrong ideals. All societies are not equal. Some are better than others.

    This is just a stellaris campaign with weird internal issues within the player and npc factions. The writing is can be mediocre at times. I dont know why so many officers would question orders from a leader directly. Not saying some wouldnt but a 1000 all over a private com link between multiple fleets

    This is so poorly written. I hope it is the first story written by the author and improvements will be made with the next one. Conscience processes regarding attacking an enemy who enslaved your people? Soldiers who hesitate carrying out orders - the inner dialogue of the admiral's first scene was downright idiotic and completely unlikely. At least for our race - I don't recall any hesitation among any of the parties destroying supply convoys during the first/second world war - that is similar to the treasury fleet. Please give more thought to the story and do not give in to emotionally comfortable outcomes. Apply more nuance to the story - the internet is saturated with stories about human empires which are OP and conquer everything from the underdog position just through the power of their determination.
