Every time I'm hiking and need to ration my water during the day, with every small swig of water, the taste of it is simply delightful and makes me look forward to drinking to fullness the next time I have an adequate source. In other words, I understand how rationing your water feels. Really makes you appreciate the taste of something we all take for granted much of our lives.
Narrator: _"It was at that point the youtube viewer knew she didn't want to thru hike the AT."_ 😂 I'm laughing but totally serious. That rock scramble was...yikes! 😳I have long wondered if I would feel comfortable thru hiking the AT with my daughter and I've seen so many videos where people claim practically anyone could do it. I now know that I'll be doing it without her or not at all. I will say that I admire your ability to stay as calm as you did through that rock scramble. I also appreciate that you left it in the video when you could have easily left it out. I think a lot of youtubers would have in order to a) avoid the possibility of criticism and/or b) glamorize the experience. I'm glad you and Riley were able to navigate your way through that safely!
