Any sand that's been sifted, washed, and dried thoroughly. With mostly no debris but a amount is ok. Construction sand is at the top because you CAN NOT use it unless it's been cleaned and it virtually has NO DEBRIS. Look up density sand for sand cone test. Its silica sand and it's pricey.

@@sandgirl1888 Exactly, that's why I would go for the density sand. A hole is dug in the earth and that sand is poured in the hole to keep the earth from basically storing containments. It's too expensive to keep on a constant basis. So beach sand all the way.
What I do when I want sand is I crush up cookies till they are soft and fine enough for me, then I just chew them. It obviously doesn’t taste like sand, but it is better than sand.

My favorite sand I chewed was hamster cleaning sand. I was fine and soft, but had a great crunch.

@@YazminaBrookji it is. majority of the beach sand is gritty, it’s only specific spots where the sand is fine and softer.
