From the moment I first heard that breakbeat drop at 1:24, I knew this would become one of my favorite boss fights of all time. Pure MGR/DMC/anime energy.
To be honest, it reminded me of Klonoa! Klonoa reserved that genre of music at boss fights if I am not mistaken! And it also helps that the arena is similar to the 2.5 dimension of a stage in most Klonoa bosses! DX
It was so good that I lost my concentration during the fight the first time I heard it haha. Switched my entire focus to the song. The timing was so good 🫨
Gives me chills and flashbacks to fighting Absolute Radiance. Eigong and Radiance are my favorite bosses ever. The intensity in the music just explodes halfway through the final fight and then has an even crazier theme on the true ending part.
probably, my favorite things about this song: 1. the choir of voices you can hear in the background, that probably resembles all the guards of New Kunlun, sacrificed by Eigong for her researches 2. Beneath the Surface (apeman facility theme) leitmotif at 2:15 that hits me way too hard for no reason
i like how lady ethereal is set up. At first you see her statue and then there is the jumpscare, and so you assume that she is going to be a horrifyingly evil monster, but then she is revealed to be one of the most kindest sols in the council and she is sending out a signal to yi so that she could finally be killed

I find myself comparing her to isshin a lot. its probably because they're the only two final bosses i would consider to be perfect

I have a save just before the ending where I can fight Eigong over and over again. What a great boss fight, both in terms of mechanics and spectacle.
Bro have you not seen the Battle Memories option. You dont need a fresh save just to fight her again.
