the grandma's from the great depression as well as the hispanic culture and devout/practicing, is what shaped me as well. I just wish the younger me would have told her how much I appreciated it and thanked her for her example and hard work. Especially her faith (lessons learned) later. I now tell my daughters to express and show my mom while she's still with us.

Hola Nora! It’s those abuelas that were our best examples. I hope I showed her how much I loved her because I never really verbalized it either. It’s great that you tell your daughters to while they still have her with them. I miss mine dearly but so thankful she helped shape me into who I am. ☺️
