Do you know that you look like the most iconic actor of the Philippines..., google Richard Gomez, so im sure you are connecting to the Filipino subconscious...
You guys sounded like you were surprised that Filipinos are actually famous for being at least as friendly as Canadians! I guess no one warned you about just how warm hearted these people are. After having lived in the Philippines for a little over a year, I feel more at home here than anywhere else I have ever been!
haha good point. We knew they were friendly but we can't get over the singing and dancing. It's everywhere! Hope you're doing well in Manila TT - Trevor
I'm a new subscriber here. Thank you for your sweet acknowledgment. I also admire my own countrymen. I'm a born Pinoy. I grew up in Manila. I'm amazed that I can actually go inside the house of any of my neighbors with open arms. We follow the "Golden Rule", "do unto others as you would have them do unto you” (Matt. 7:12). Be grateful and appreciative. Many times when I had a roadside trouble with my motorbike, in just seconds everyone wants to help you and not asking for returns. I witnessed when there was a house on fire in our neighborhood, everyone was helping to stop the spread and shockingly they managed to lift a jeepney meters away with their bare hands in order for the firetrucks to pass. Filipinos love to sing. We can feel sudden change of atmosphere each time we hear songs. When neighbors are singing with Videoke, we just love it and we don't complain instead we enjoy listening to them because they are really good. It's like you are in a concert for free. Anyways, I just want to share this. God bless you and enjoy your stay here in my beloved country. Mabuhay!.Salamat.
I have had several Filipino caregivers and friends, such warm and upbeat people! I mean any culture that celebrates Christmas for 4 months must be happy people!!! I can't wait to visit one day. Especially watching your videos! 😊
I am originally from the Philippines. My husband is a Canadian and he really is very helpful and friendly. Watching your blog from a small island of Saipan, a US territory in the Pacific.
Filipinos are hospitable and easy to get. Don't hesitate to ask or approach any Filipino if you need any direction. I'm a Filipino watching here in Doha Qatar.
Im Filipino and i want to support your channel also to help you both as you stay in our country. Stay safe. Im thankful that our fellow Filipinos made your life easier during this days. God bless.
If I was stuck on that kinda place I would never go home again!!. That place were beautiful and peaceful!. The beach are also right in your doorstep wow!!.
Hi I’m your new subscriber. Just chill and relax in the island of paradise. We Filipinos are the most friendly people on earth if you must agree with me 😃. I am a Filipina but now residing here in Vancouver for 4 years now. Take care and stay safe. 🇵🇭🇨🇦
Hi guys, its really a good timing that you were stucked in El-Nido during this lockdown because this is such a beautiful paradise that everyone is dreaming about to visit. Enjoy your stay and I assure you will learn so many things about filipino and our culture. Stay Safe. LOve 😍 lots.-celyn...
Very cool video. Nice nature shots! Hmmm snack video. Well, the spicy chicharones is really good. If you like to drink, well, try mixing Tang with the local Gin. There are like 16 different flavors of Tang! Go crazy! My favorite flavors of tang: Dalandan, Calamanci, and 4 seasons.... Pineapple tang is the bomb too! Here in La Union, San Juan, the beaches are closed... cant even walk down at the beach and watch the sunset. Also, the ECQ pass only allows me to go out on Monday's and Thursdays.. Can you go out any day to the market?
Hey guys you’re lucky you’re there in our beloved country. Actually we’re planning to have our vacation this May but it was postpone because of the pandemic. I am a 🇵🇭🇨🇦 living in Dorval Quebec canada 🇨🇦 thank you guys

I miss the beach so bad and I just feast my eyes on any swimming/free dive videos I could find here in RUclips. I envy you being there, I am thankful as I have my family with me and we are all safe but surrounded by concrete walls while you are in the middle of blues and greens. I love listening to the lady (sorry didn't hear you mention your names), the way you speak just mesmerized me.
My heart is broken for you both and for all Nova Scotians back home and globally... these are unsettling times worldwide, but somehow Trevor and Anna, you seem to find ways of turning your quarantine lockdown into a positive situation... and in turn, making us viewers feel happy after watching your channel :) god bless you both and please continue to keep safe :)

A lot of travel vloggers have been coming back and forth in the Philippines were from canada. Namely becoming filipino, Lost le blanc, laura reid, bret maverick, fearless and far to name a few. Some have made the Philippines their home base. Sometimes it felt weird knowing Canada is a nice place and yet they chose to stay in the Philippines for a moment.
So many foreigners stranded in the Philippines.... Well, this your chance to be a little bit Filipino at this point, spend with the locals & the wonders around. Cheers!
Your lucky so beautiful in the Islands I'm Also in Canada but Philippines Islands it's so beautiful but take care always couples guy's go the Islands they have soldiers or Police officers just in case you're in safe

We are really enjoying your videos, nice to have something to look forward to these days. That's so cool how the locals are taking such good care of you. Thanks for answering our question. Made our week! -Shawna🍁

Yes everyone is talking about it why is so early people’s afraid because they don’t want the corona to spread all over again coz some of the states is still in a hot spots.... But Trump can’t wait anymore so many people’s r protesting to re open the country coz people’s running outs of food n money ..... the food banks in Texas is running out of supplies....Scary ...Keep safe guys 👍👍👍
You folks are charming. You realize how much relatable and intimate you would be if you two TOOK OFF YOUR SUNGLASSES!! Seriously, all I see are ghost images of what you are looking at reflected in your shiny orbs where eyes should be. Consider if it’s not too much trouble.
Thanks Sam... if the sun is out our glasses are likely on. We take them off in lots of videos but in general we are usually outside and in sunny places - Anna
That really is a pretty spot. Lovely water. Lovely palm trees. Nice! Glad you have plenty of projects to stay busy and interested. If I love a movie I can watch it a thousand times (like a favorite travel destination) and I'm doing that! Also exercise, gardening, reading.
I’ve been following “ Kulas” from Becoming Filipino. He is a Canadian stationed in Cagayan de Oro city. His parents already visited him. He met his Filipina girl freind in CdeOro also. He has traveled all over the Philippines for 2 years now and no plan to go back to Canada. Maybe you can contact him at Becoming Filipino. Stay safe there in El Nido.

Hi Pia.. be careful if they open it up there. That seems too early to open honestly - Trevor

I’m enjoying the videos, I usually watch while I’m eating. I made the Filipino dish Chris and Carol shared the other day, it’s delicious
Those palm trees will just never get old. Nor the colour of that water.... El Nido is a gem Steve. 😃- Trevor
I wish I was on lockdown in El Nido, between your channel and Jumping Places, it seems a pretty great place to be for this!
We think it is as well. Thanks for following along 😃- Trevor

You should be delightful as you are in paradise, safe and free.
