I'd be tempted to run a free Sworn Sword Captain in them. Re-rolls to fish for 6s and vulnerable. The attachment I could see work in Karstark Loyalists, as you'd then get Panicked & Weakened with a successful charge. Could also work in Berserkers, as that's a lot of dice to get crits, and the weakened could really help if your unit is on their last rank. Plus the move of 6 makes those successful charges more likely.
It would be expensive but 2pt/1pt Brienne would be fun in them to double down on the effect of taking swords. Highest attack plus +1 to hit would be interesting. Now combo that with a triggered North Remember card on them and they would hit on 1s/auto hits with 7 dice. Completely revolves around having the swords. But Baelish and every other round could make it happen.
@@Darkestestmatter I do t think so. If you have +2 to hit and you hit in threes, would that make dice rolls if 1s a hit. Unless I’m missing some rule in the book that say otherwise
makes me more interested in seeing the attachment update that is supposed to be coming. This could be a 6 pt unit, but instead it's a 7 point that makes you take an attachment. I'm not opposed to that as one of the slight issues I have with this game is taking your iconic characters in your army is usually just not that good aside from Commander and NCU choices I'm not too excited about the top ability, Starks already have lots of ways to get highest attacks. Defensive ability is good. However I don't agree with the Robb synergy, I don't like the idea of a unit that says "if you take horses from me, I'm ultra owned", especially compared with Bog Devils or Stormcrow Dervishes. Frankly right now my opinion is I'd rather take Sworn Swords (even with an attachment , they are a point cheaper)
Precision on them for a 7 point unit makes them 💩 . Cant find an attachment that synergizes well with them at all as a result . Ill just stick with my tulley cav. Really disappointing unit.
I am also underwhelmed, as they depend on Swords & Horses. With the -1 cost to Attachments they're kinda 6 points, but I won't be rushing out to get them.
@johnwallace-howell5849 they have giant asss two handed swords. They could have easily given them sundering. Then they could have synergies with certain attachments. Given the strength of other armies 7 point units, I think that would have put them on par.
