the 24 hr subdial is handy to tell am/pm for the gmt hand as it goes around twice per day. If you don't need to track a 3rd time zone, you can use the bezel to get the chronograph to time up to 12 hours by setting 12 to the hour hand when you start timing.
That is a clever trick with the bezel, I didn't think of that. Great suggestion! :)

If i ever go for an only... Timex, this would be something to consider. As for alternatives, i guess only Citizen would have something alike, but i'm not an expert to tell, as i don't search for analog chronos, at all, ever...!!!

Good news: Casio f91w (plus tons of others) is also 18mm with flare. Lots of strap options. Can also get ae1200 lug adapters to 20mm or 22mm so you can fit literally any strap for a different look.
