I can't believe it took me so long to make this switch. I'm really excited to get many more nights under this quilt to give a more in depth review. man...even just watching you roll around in the mummy bag made me feel SUPER claustrophobic!! i've struggled with this in even regular old walmart sleeping bags. I think I'm going with a quilt. I'm also an active sleeper so this video helped me a lot
Very helpful and clear analysis. I have a serviceable sleeping bag and I just bought a liner to provide an additional 5-8º of warmth, but a quilt will be my next major purchase.
First, I really like your videos. Very informative in a thought out way. Gets one thinking. I too feel claustrophobic in mummy bags to the point that I rather freeze my behind off than use one. I like to be able to bend one leg and to be able to turn inside the bag, not with it. The old fashion zip up quilts were roomy, but cold. Now I have found a sleeping bag that does it for me, The Sea to Summit Journey JO II long for women. Wide, long ,Ultra dry down, Extreem -36 C, comfort women -8 C, 1180 gr, AND it zips up ALL the way around. I use this both for tents and hammock. The reason I hesitate to quilt is possible draft and not being able to tuck my head in when it gets really cold. The separate hats does't work for me. Keep up the good work! and stay safe out there.

I would very much like a video on ordering a custom quilt! Didn't know about UGQ till now. Thanks for the awesome find!

I agree about the weight comes after quality.
Top video with great info. Thanks mate. Just ordered one with the camo woodlands outer and charcoal grey inside. Let the waiting commence 😂😩🍻
Thanks for the feedback! The wait will be worth it, at least it was for me :)
