Why isnt Trevor Laurence ever discussed in terms of a quaterback that needs development? Dude got handsomely paid and there are ZERO expectations from that guy. @ternbug100 literally every sport show that has been talking about this has made a point to say the Panthers are dysfunctional? Even Panthers fans say we are disfunctional. That doesn't mean Bryce didn't deserve benching. You can't throw for just 80 yards in an NFL game and expect to be successful. Dan Morgan made legitimate moves to improve most parts of the offense, but ESPECIALLY the O-line. They have been really good at keeping Bryce clean, but it hasnt mattered. It's definitely not an elite squad but it's absolutely stronger than last year, but Bryce has looked worse. Hes obviously been playing scared.
I believe that being benched will help Bryce grow. The only thing that has yet to be seen is if it's with the Panthers or another team.

Deebo said something on his show this morning, I think really let’s you in on the thought process going through the college kids minds, when they’re on NIL deals. He said if I was making millions of dollars in college and the coach told me to change part of my game, I’d look at him like he’s crazy. And he thinks that’s ok because the athletes these days are more talented and skilled. I think he unknowingly showed us why NIL is going to inevitably ruin football. These kids do not care about the championships, it’s about the bag. 💲Granted you have the few who want to prove themselves but I do see this being the ugly part of the game, and see more “Divas” in our future.

It may be intimidating but it’s better than what he’s doing. Even the greatest did what they had to do to win. Brady ran just a little bit, manning just a little bit. YOU SEE THE RESULTS WITH HIS PLAY. SURE MAYBE THE TEAM AROUND HIM ISN’T THAT GREAT. BUT NOBODY WAS SAYING THAT WHEN HE GOT DRAFTED. SO THERE ARE SO MANY TO BLAME FOR THIS OTHER THAN YOUNG AND THE PANTHERS ORGANIZATION. HE WAS MISS ANALYZED FROM THE START. TOO SMALL. YEAH THATS A PROBLEM. What's hurt the qb development the most in college then transitioning to the pros is when Kurt and Tom were qbs they had to read it out fully to give them a chance to win on the play because they didn't have the legs to bail them out of the play and when you look at qbs coming out of high school that are phenomenal athletes like jalen hurts they can just run by most people on a high school field or through them so instead of them sitting in the pocket and figuring it out on their own them always being able to rely on their legs hurts their development because they know they always can go to that and I think honestly that's what has hurt the development the most the game has changed in that regard and how to develop these guys while also being able to let them use their athleticism hasn't caught up yet

And that's exactly what's wrong with Bryce. In Alabama, the team was so stacked, he was able to improvise off script every other play. NFL edge rushers aren't going for that. Opposing teams know that "backyard baller" play style is/was Bryce's strengths. That's why they have corner backs blitzing 3 times in a row and he can't do anything about it. Kurt Warner knows this stuff.
The League slowing down the game for this new generation of quarterbacks is a real indictment of the college game.
But not on the coaches. It's an indictment on the NCAA & Mark Emmert who insisted that college wasn't a minor league for the NFL. That is clearly exposed as a lie.
Colleges could take the time to develop players because they couldn't leave for the NFL after one year, they couldn't transfer to another school, and they couldn't earn a salary to make them immune from a coach's threats.
But schools now are the big-time. Their teams earn millions, so those schools have to get that QB on their field now. The success of the Carolina Panthers years from now from the freshman QB sleeping in the dorms is not their concern.

Did he watch bryce in college he was pretty good he was throwing to wide open receivers some times but alot of the times he was running for his life creating on busted plays so idk who exactly he was referring to but it seems like he was referring to Bryce and others

Did you even watch the video? Bryce can't reliably run around and extend plays in the NFL anymore because his athleticism in comparison to NFL-level defenders is lacking. He could do it in college when defenders weren't as athletic, weren't as polished, weren't as smart. Take away Bryce's ability to create outside the pocket, and what are you left with? An undersized, unathletic QB with bad throwing mechanics (which effects his throw power), absolutely no desire to take shots down the field even when receivers do get open. He quite literally only threw for a 84 yards and a pick, on 28 attempts, despite only getting pressured 4 times and his running back was responsible for one of them. His o-line gave up 3 pressures and he still couldn't get over a 100 yards passing.

@@selenalmartinezim sick of y'all pretending Bryce did that well in college myself, because the only thing he showed he could do at Bama is throw to Jameson williams. Bryce was running around all the time because he couldn't play on script. He couldn't throw from the pocket. It had nothing to do with the o line. He couldn't dissect defenses from the pocket and because of it, held on the ball for so long the defenses, who were almost always blitzing him, would get to him and he'd have to scramble. You guys love acting like you've really watched this dude. I have. I watched most of his Bama career, and he was never generational or transcendent. He was just throwing to an overpowered receiver.

You're learning real fast. that bryce athleticism is laughable compared to kylers. And they chose bryce because he thought he would be better. Except people didn't compare their college tape. Kyler was sooo much faster and agile with a cannon for arm. Bryce has none of that. Like kurt said, he doesn't have the athleticism t
make up for his size. As a die hard card fan- I knew it immediately before bryce was drafted. Kyler was amazing and bryce was struggling to make magicianary stuff

Have you seen his Bama O-Line? That ain't an issue. The issue is he doesn't have the tools needed to "STRIVE". He needs better weapons, offensive schemes, and coaching.
