I honestly don't understand how things degenerated from such a high level of complex emotive musical art to.... well... whatever the sheet is I hear being played today. For a while I just thought, you know, that's what I thought about my parents boring music and the next gen would think that of me... _but that's not it is it?..._ 🥴 we have an _Olde_ saying that goes... I got a few years on you but story goes it began with disco in mid 70s then electro in early eighties. With the disco loops Chicago kicked off. Then detroit. Followed by acid in Chicago again and belgian newbeat and. F*** uk RAVE
First actual rave I did was Slough Central in late 1987.
Never looked back.

I agree with DJ Quad - Ex, my partying started in 91 and to me hearing tunes like these bring it all flooding back, the mixture of pianos, vocals and brain tearing sounds. They say things get better when they evolve but for me dance music was at its best in the early days. Top tunes mate you've made a boring Sunday morning feel like a muddy field in the middle of nowhere 👍👍🤣🤣

@@oldskoolmixes I used to DJ a bit early 90's, used Protracker/Octamed on my Amiga (never produced anything of my own) etc. Sold all my stuff around 2000, worked as game dev/CNC engineer since(what I'm actually qualified for) since etc. Just never lost the love of real music :)

Great tune selection but not as impressed with the mix as others seem to be, the far out/in effect mix was a real clanger big bpm difference and it shows even with in effect on minus 8
