I’m a plumber and they also cut my 1/2” cpvc when I don’t have my cutters handy. Also if you just rotate it reversed a bit, it locks in without having to use any force and it helps you line up the cut more precisely.
They are junk. I paid like $60 for the set and the spring stretches and it wont cut butter. I didnt even use it that much. Also I find all my Milwaukee pipe cutters rust!!! Just my 2 cents for anyone on the fence
Like how you mentioned that cause its different metals. I plumb and weld. I was always told cleaning is key and if your trying to clean say aluminum with a disk you just used for steel
Hello, I'm writing from Santiago de Chile and I liked those tube cutters... well, I'm an SEC Qualified Electrical Installer Technician in Chile and now I'm about to start a plumbing course and I want to buy a tube cutter but which one do you recommend to cut EMT too? I think Knipex has one that they say is the best or it could also be a Ridgid. but for PVC pipes there is a specific knipex for that... which I saw on Amazon. but for metal I used aluminum or steel or iron, which one do you recommend please... thank you very much best regards. I can't translate on RUclips... Best regards from Santiago de Chile atte Jaime
Hi and thanks for watching. The Ridgid pipe cutter are good. Klein Tools also makes a tube cutter as well. Both are good choices when needed. Kleins is a little more compact if that is a factor for you.
As of 1-22-21 they do not. Hopefully in the future they will. I have noticed they have been slacking in bringing out there metric line of tools. I know they are very understaffed right now with the pandemic maybe that’s why.
These things are trash. Brand new they take 20-30 turns to cut anything and they constantly jam up on the pipe so you have to get a strap wrench to finish the job.
Where can I buy replacement blades?
Acme Tools sells them. imp.i284638.net/rnamq3

Will the 1” or the 3/4” be able to cut 7/8”? If not do they sell 7/8”?
7/8th OD tubing should be the same size as 3/4 pipe
how do you replace the blades?
Milwaukee offers replacement blades. Just unscrew the back of the cutter to replace the blade.
Those types of cutters on the market in the UK more the 20 years
Won’t work on pvc conduit apparently. I tried and they sucked.
Yep. It’s only for copper
59 and can't use on EMT
Is Emt copper pipes So why would you think you could?
Never mix. And always have your cleaning flappers labeled and ready.dont get your metals all mixed up
Thanks for the tip
Do they make a metric version?
As of 1-22-21 they do not. Hopefully in the future they will. I have noticed they have been slacking in bringing out there metric line of tools. I know they are very understaffed right now with the pandemic maybe that’s why.
Awesome video but I’m an electrician I need an emt one lol
As do I. 😂 It would be great if they did.
Use a microphone to improve your audio
Microphone. Great call
Yeah, five seconds in a space that allows you to get your entire hand around it. LOL

What a joke, who uses a close quarter tubing cutter and and has space to spin the pipe to cut it! One has to turn the cutter!
These are junk. Good luck changing a blade. If you are an electrician, why are you promoting a plumbing product?
Why are you on RUclips???????
