At our state's air show, there was an Avenger in flying condition that did a few photo fly-bys. Plus a non-flying one at the adjacent air museum. Ever since, I've wanted to build a model of one. This kit is on my list of ones to build.
Saw one flying Reno air races. Definitely a big plane for only a single engine. She flew with her tail low. Not sure if just bad trim or lack of fuel and payload. I know there were a few planes that suffered from this. The Black Widow and the Ventura come to mind.
i think i bought the wrong kit. I have theTBF1c, I wanted this one- Bush' plane! ugh! also how did it go together? can the wings go up and down? I build armour...not planes. cheers!

Nice one mate...we operated these flying "beer barrel" planes with our RNZAF and we have an Avenger warbird .. cheers from across the ditch 👍🇳🇿✈️
Great review mate.Thinking about this kit lately and weighing up about getting it.👍

Ive seen a couple fly at airshows and they look huge and lumbering! Doesn't look like it should fly!
